Basic range is well made and looks good, not as flush as expected but these are hidden easily enough - overall very happy with the product, just a slight grumble on delivery which was in numerous parts over the course of a week! This may have been the distributors choice (DX I think), but not very environmentally friendly and no quicker as you need to wait for all shipments!

The product quality is very good.

What lets you down is the haphazard was the order was delivered. You need to find a delivery company that can deliver all the parts at the same time rather than have it spread across several days.

I found the overall construction a little too complex given the price. My first problem was following the instruction to use a glass pane to square the frame. The glass shattered and I sustained a cut. Not recommended when you’re taking warfarin. I understand I’m not covered for a replacement pane in this instance. I have since, with some trepidation now completed the frame minus one pane and I’m fairly pleased with the outcome.
I will of course need to order another glass replacement.
As my negative experience was borne out of the early squaring process I wonder if the including a hardboard piece might allay further mishaps and injuries.

Ordered slug rings, arrived on time, as expected

I accidentally ordered the wrong size trellis and immediately contacted the company to ask that my order be cancelled or amended as I wanted the larger trellis. They didn't come back to me until after dispatch and said the only thing I could do was reject the delivery, but I'd have to stand to the £20 delivery charge. Furthermore the small trellis for which I paid £120 is nowhere near the quality I expected for that price.

The delivery and packing were fantastic, always a good sign. 12 separate items individually labelled. Outer packing was thick paper and inner was bubble wrap. When I unwrapped them I kept the label on to identify the parts.
There were 4 of us to assemble, probably could have done with 3. Assembly of the frame is simple, although it took a couple of hours.
Only tricky bit are the wires. Just remember to fit the wire with the plastic screw first and don't tighten until you've fixed the other end.
The canopy is waterproof. Of course the rain collects in the folds and when this happens I use the supplied boathook to tip it off. But if you're expecting rain, close the canopy. It takes 3 seconds.
The screen I went for is the Morrocan one because it let's the most light through. Its very expensive, £900 which is my only gripe. I would have liked 2 screens but not at that price.
The pergola is very well made, it's top quality, everyone loves it. My friend was impressed with the welding. He knows about that stuff.
I'm glad I went for an expensive pergola from Harrods, who are a quality manufacturer and supplier. I bought an archway from them which is attractive and sturdy and has stood the test of time. You get what you pay for.
The pergola has transformed my decking area. I love it, and so does everyone else. Highly recommended.

Have purchased from Harrod horticulture many times and not had any problems. Always liked the quality of their products. This time the order was delayed and then when the delivery did arrive one package was missing and another damaged. The delivery driver from Dx was not helpful and said it was my problem to sort out. I was very unhappy as the order was not cheap. Happily Harrod dealt with the complaint promptly this morning and spoke to courier. The missing parcel turned up this afternoon. A bad customer experience turned around to a positive one by good customer service from Amanda and the customer service manager. Will happily order from them again now.
