I can understand why kitchen aid are expensive the stand mixer is very heavy and of a very good quality,I would say if someone is wanting to store away after each use this may not be for you because of the weight,but it is a lovely well made item and I would recommend

I bought this mixer for my wife who loves to do home baking. It was a replacement for her tried and trusted Kenwood mixer which had given her many years of great service. However she'd always set her heart on owning a KitchenAid mixer and I delivered! She's absolutely loves her new mixer. It's sleek, modern and of high quality. I recommend.

I was a bit worried at first as the stand mixer head was bumping up and down when mixing dough but after reading the manual, and a bit of googling, I realised it just needed tuned. There is a screw in the neck when the head is up, tighten this and it reduced the movement. Kitchen Aid is a heavy duty, powerful, perfect stand mixer, so far every use has been a delight.
