Denied Accommodation on Arrival – Forced to Pay for Hotel

Haven took our money, then on arrival at Craig Tara our caravan was effectively inaccessible because the entrance was flooded. No meaningful help was offered, no alternative accommodation was available, and after a 200-mile drive we had to leave and pay for a hotel ourselves. Customer service’s response was to “report it to maintenance,” which tells you everything about how seriously they take guests being unable to use the accommodation they’ve paid for. A token refund for one night is not a resolution. This was a complete service failure.

Don’t bother booking

Arrive at orchards clacton on Saturday for 7 nights, it’s now Monday and we have decided to go home tomorrow.
On arrival we were make aware that there is no useable water. We were given a 2 litre bottle of water for 3 people for 7 days and told if we wanted more we would have to boil water from the tap and use that.
After seeing rats around the park we were told by one of the owners that there is no water due to the water tank being clogged with dead rats.
Disposable Plastic beakers for drinks as apparently they can’t wash the glasses (guess they couldn’t boil the water themselves). No ice so warm drinks, on the first day I was told they had run out of coke but by evening they had bought some from the onsite supermarket.
Arcade is absolutely rubbish and constantly faulty.
Staff rude and kept getting orders wrong.
I have spent hundreds on booking the holiday and spending money over 2 days ( everything is ridiculously overpriced).
I honestly can’t wait to get home and I will NEVER book a haven holiday again.

Worst holiday park company

Haven is a disgraceful company, from filthy Dirty caravans, to rude staff, and paying for a gold caravan and requesting to be closer to the amenities due to having 2 children with disabilities wheel chair user's, they put us to the other side of the park, they couldn't of put us any further away if they tried disgraceful

It is Time for us Joe public to take a stand and stop using Haven, only then will they change there motive from Money comes first and customer can take a jump we now have your hard earned money.. Come people look at there reviews, AVOID AVOID AVOID

Rude staff

Haven holiday park berwick upon tweed. Went for a meal in there restaurant, found a long black hair in my cold pasta. When approaching a member of staff to explain i had a hair in my pasta , I was treated with digust and contempt as if I had put the hair there myself! When the female supervisor can to my table she informed me that the hair definitely did not come from the kitchen! So I assumed she thought the same as the other member of staff(male) that I put it there myself. Considering I only took one bit of pasta what would be the reason for me to do this .
Staff where rude, sarcastic . Not very nice at all.
I will not be returning to this so called restaurant ever again. Food was awful and cold . Waste of money. Staff definitely need to learn some manners. Would recommend customer care course. Awful 😖

Definite 5 star rating !!

We've just stayed at kiln park in Tenby for 4 nights. we stayed in a bronze caravan which was beautifully clean..bedding spotless. and when we reported the bathroom door not closing it was fixed straight away. the whole sight was clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful . we've been going to different Haven sights for years and if we have had issues they've been dealt with straight away. I don't normally write a review but after reading such really sad poor reviews I just had to say something !

The 2 caravans I booked are now a combined £1600 less than when I booked they are EXACTLY the same caravan and EXACTLY the same grade.
They have a price promise but you’re expected to wait 2 weeks for them to decide if they will honour their price match promise.
It’s an absolute joke.
If it’s not rectified I’m contacting trading standards.
I’d recommend everyone actually checking to see if your paying over the odds for the same caravans

Very Deceptive Cancellation Protection

Paid £99 for a Haven holiday and paid extra for cancellation protection but only received £39 back after cancelling months in advance because £60 was treated as a non-refundable ‘deposit’ even though the booking was paid in full and no reference was made to a deposit when I booked. They hid it in the terms and conditions that part of the booking is a deposit even if paid in full. Never come across this before. Worth checking the terms very, very carefully.

Stayed at 95 lakeside north Haggerston Castle . The caravan stunk wet dogs damp . Curtains were absolutely disgusting. And I complaied twice before they changed them no apology or nothing. Did not change them all one was still dirty The new ones they put up were all different sizes they did not match in size so looked stupid. We have been coming to haven for over 27 years and its the first time i've ever complained about a carvan .

Thieves

Booked a break for my Son's birthday through Hoseasons, paid in full, received booking confirmation and was able to view my booking on the Haven app and even book activities...A few weeks before our break, Hoseasons contact us to cancel our break as Haven no longer have the accommodation available.
Check Haven website and the same accommodation is available at double the price!!
Absolutely disgusting. I will not be booking to stay at a Haven site again.

Excellent

We stayed at Orchards Haven holiday park this weekend 7/3/26.
We had a brilliant weekend, there is so many activities for all ages, the app was so easy to use to book swimming slots , activities, order food delivery’s etc.
We will definitely return in the summer to enjoy the outdoor swimming pool 🤩
The van was spotless.
Every staff member was very helpful, knowledgeable & more than happy to help & engage with visitors/ customers.

Haven holiday main customer service call centre

Haven holiday customer service the main customer service, what can I say didnt realise booking was that hard making it so difficult and messing me about let alone from lies, the nerve the audacity and the gumption, very unprofessional staff and lying fobbing me off

So where do I start, as you go online and check go down the whole "press 2 bed" , caravan park, the caravan, selecting 2 bed for any caravan area and park how it will show they is those available and few left

But when you go to pay, before after you put your details in it then shows "Non, no avaliability" okay..

This was at a diffrent, not my own location and my partner device, so bare that Im mind for future refrence, so now the next day I got to book again amd it says the same let alone payment declined so what do you do call up Haven. Probably their way or on purpose so you do it online so you pay extra, admin fee where online its cheaper wouldnt suprise me if its been done on purpose a scam, a tactic to make more money

So.. I call. I explain. Go through everything the first lady on the call, explains and says how she can see they is non avaliable, for Blue dolphin using that as an example but this was more of them getting me to pay and book instead of seeing they is an issue, to show for them but it wasnt for me as I wasnt doing it over phone with the admin fee.. this was to raise a issue website fault, issue

She then says how they is saver, one left im like oh okay then.. how id go check/look so the call ends, I go look nope.. get the same it shows avaliablility then how they is non I thought you know what how the park themselves will know so id call Haven Blue dolphin park themselves

And what do you hear, how they is availability and to call them back and let them know obviously they want to try, well have you book and to see if you want booking with them. Okay but how I need blue light card so how I need to call them back but at this point its about how ive been lied to, miscommunication and misinformation, remember they said how they is non avaliable and the park saying they is so its their side/the site

After calling again. After explaining the 2nd lady gets on her high horse on how they is no ict issues her side. No issues. And how "i need to shut down my network, shut it down all together" lets not talk on Ict when they dont know and havent got a clue typical, deflecting trying to pass it onto you, shift the blame like its because of you, a you issue.. yep the typical move where companies go I thought wifi providers were bad i said darent bother doing the whole have you done this, have you done that or try as I work in ICT. I explain again nope it isnt my side she says about shutting it down, will be my network, my device, how I need to do it on another device, network. Hmm..

Guilt tripping was unreal okay. I said id do it on another device, oh how need be diffrent location.. blah blah. I said how id do it on diffrent device and use a vpn then im told how the vpn can could affect, nope... if you use the right location it dosent but okay. Dont tell me about what I should and shouldnt do. What it is or isnt, shifting it like its a me thing and yet I soon shut it down I said okay how I have used a diffrent device, neighbours wifi, & data and how im getting the same thing, at this point I just put the call down they was deflecting, making excuses as yet after I was told about making the booking online via them seems odd, obviously a tactic, so I do it via them and for those and not online

But bare in mind she, told me on behalf of the company, representing the company how they is no faults or ict issues.. okay bare that in mind, now why when I call Blue dolphin after explaining, and what was said they didnt know why and was bit confused to then add how they had issues accessing the site recently. Okay maybe its just their side not havens but who knows I did them say about how I wasn't going to bother calling so they didnt fob me off knowing they would, make excuses or whatever BS, but I gave up and went ahead and said about doing the booking online and paying and for them to send me an email. So thank you to the Blue dolphin staff, I apologise at that point was so frustrated, being messed about, fobbed off and lied to told one thing then oh how it works, avaliability, no ict issues but the other lady said how they was non. So what was it? What is it?

Now you darent say out Probably seen as being abusive, harrassive, causing alarm and distress kicking off. You being the bad guy, problem, issue - easier to say its you and how you were kicking off or were rude, disrespectful, abusive "to our staff" the usal BS, yet we'll they crack on doing what their doing, being unprofessional, and whatever to then call Haven back to explain to have some guy bring up how he wont discuss what "my other colleuges' has said having a hissy fit, was childish, unprofessional, im sorry say im bullying or being abusive but jt was wrong

So after using parkdean regularly over…

So after using parkdean regularly over the years for long and short stays, we decided due to price to try out haven caravan site called blue dolphin in Filey, we paid just 69.00 for a 3 day stay for 4 people, upon arrival the booking in was so easy and pleasant, the site was clean and very tidy, our stay was supposed to be in a two bed caravan but we was placed in a 3 bed, the heating was already on so the caravan was lovely and warm, very clean, basic setup but very nice, well happy with our short stay and I would definitely return to the blue dolphin site, only downside for me was outdoor lighting as I badly sprained my ankle in the dark, this site could defiantly benefit from more site lighting for customer safety. If it wasn’t for the bad and dangerous lack of lighting it would be a 10/10
