Life Changing Experience - 100% Recommend Headstuff ADHD Therapy

Headstuff ADHD Therapy have provided a 5 star service for me. I’ve worked with four of their recommended ADHD therapists over the years, and each one has supported me in exactly the way I needed at the time.

The therapy sessions helped me better understand my ADHD and put practical strategies in place to manage day to day tasks more effectively. As a result, I’ve developed better lifestyle habits and feel more in control and organised.

I’ve also used their business coaching, which has had a big impact on my productivity.

We’ve had direct contact with Sarah Templeton, who is approachable, straight talking and clearly passionate about helping people with ADHD.

Overall, Headstuff ADHD Therapy have made a real difference to both my lifestyle and my business. I 100% recommend their services.

money making scam

My experience with Sarah Templeton and Headstuff ADHD Therapy was deeply disappointing and financially damaging.
The representations made to me regarding funding and reimbursement did not materialise, and the explanations I received changed over time. What I was initially told about how the process would work was not what ultimately happened. As a result, I incurred significant costs that were not recovered.
I would strongly urge anyone considering engaging with this company to obtain all assurances in writing, independently verify any claims regarding Access to Work or reimbursement, and be extremely cautious about making upfront payments based on verbal representations.
Having now read the one-star reviews, I can see clear similarities in the concerns raised — particularly around money and communication. My experience aligns far more closely with those accounts than with the glowing five-star feedback which makes me question their legitimacy.
Prospective clients should carry out very careful due diligence before proceeding.

Paid £95 for a therapy session and didn't receive therapy

Paid £95 for 1hr therapy session. The therapist Graham Summerscales spent 30 mins trying to block sell me fortnightly calls. When I said I wouldn't make a decision on the spot he clearly lost interest. Spent the night 30 minutes talking about; his hobbies, his divorce, how he only now needs to work 3 days a week he's earning so well. Said wouldn't make time for me and would prioritise people who blocked booked availability. Was not a therapy session. £95 wasted

Tremendous service, rates and expertise

Experts from thinking I might have adhd to counselling, coaching through the process of Meds. A free support group and ongoing in work and at home coaching.

My life is much better and I'm.so glad I didn't wait for the NHS to just chuck some pills and an asd diagnosis.

'Addict' was my diagnosis for 25 years. Lost in 12 step meetings and not able to lose weight.

I wouldn't be the man or success I am without headstuff.
I see others talking eye watering money, I'd suggest before taking reviews like that seriously thatyou do some research and offset it to time.

Sadly you just cannot get this level of service on the NHS. You do get experts.

Thank you

Headstuff, filling every gap they find.

Dear Headstuff, what would we do without you.

My daughter and I have struggled to achieve any compassionate and sensitive response from any professional to date. Until we met your team and in particular Kelly.

Emerging neurodiversity is a ride, not only for the child but for their parents too. It may be helpful for me to list some of the qualities we experienced in pre assessment with Kelly:

Compassion
Genuine concern
Empathy
Kindness
Well informed and experienced
Solution focused
Straight forward and direct communication -delivered like a hug!
Inclusive of all family members
Connection- appropriate use of self.
Humour!
Sharing of resources, knowledge and experience
Amazing timescales

If every neurodiverse family had a 'Kelly' we would rule the world! Thanks Headstuff for everything you do.

VERY PLEASED! WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I worked with Sarah (the owner of the company directly) and I'm not exaggerating when I say she's helped me more than any other mental health professional. Ever. I made more progress with her than I did with multiple psychologists, therapists and doctors.

In terms of ADHD, I honestly do not know anyone else who is as well versed with the condition as Sarah Templeton.
I should also memtion that I have also worked with another of her therapists too; Greg Bentley for a good year. He has been great too and he was pretty much EXACTLY how Sarah described him to me and how he is described on her website. I believe he also does the Headstuff therapy assessments for children and I've no doubt he does a very thorough job with this too.

It's true, I have not worked with all of Sarah's employees, but my experiences with the ones I did work with were undoubtedly very positive and I would certainly recommend them. Yes, the service is not free but if you can afford using headstuff I'd say it's worth the money.

Guided me through tough transitional periods and personalised for my ADHD needs

Stumbled across this site and managed to match with Georgie, who has been my coach for the past 5 months and I couldn't be happier with the decision to dive in with a ADHD specialist coach. Going through tough transitional periods and career coaching has been invaluable. Georgie has helped with developing my ADHD toolbox and being much kinder to myself, I have even started back at the gym again!

Top Quality Counselling, especially for people with ADHD…

All the Headstuff counsellors have ADHD themselves so you know that whoever you engage, they come from a standpoint of understanding your condition. The benefit of this is that you can just concentrate on the issues you need to deal with and not have to educate your counsellor on your condition, still knowing that they don’t really get it.

And the counsellors available have specialisms in specific areas so whatever help you need with, they will have a counsellor qualified to help. My son was an angry, misunderstood 12 year old last year (2023) when we engaged James Penny to help him. My son didn’t want the counselling and had said he wouldn’t take part, but James was able to put him at his ease and bring his defences down sufficiently so that he managed the full six weeks in the end. We were very impressed.

Child Pre-Assessment for ADHD

I got in touch with Sarah Templeton regarding our 6 year old daughter who had been for triaged out of the NHS pathway because she wasn’t exhibiting enough traits in the school setting despite being a completely different child at home and struggling (the usual story for girls and the usual archaic response). Sarah conducted a pre-assessment and indicated SPD, traits of Autism and ADHD. Following a formal complaint to the NHS provider and submission of Sarah’s pre-assessment document, our daughter’s ADHD referral was finally accepted and she is awaiting assessment and we are positive it will result in diagnosis.

Sarah was also able to signpost us to Kelly Young in relation to a pre-assessment for our eldest daughter who is 12. Our daughter struggles to talk to people she doesn’t know and was really reluctant to speak about ADHD or any of her feelings. On the day of the pre-assessment Kelly made her feel comfortable and spoke about her own lived experiences which we found really beneficial and our daughter responded well to this. She explained exactly what she would be doing to ensure she understood the process. Our daughter coloured a picture throughout the assessment and her creativity was acknowledged by Kelly. At one stage our daughter left the room crying because she clearly felt embarrassed about some of the topics discussed. Kelly was really accommodating and reassured her she didn’t have to be present or if she was she could be off screen. After a hug she continued with the assessment and finally felt comfortable enough to resume this on screen.
Kelly provided our daughter with validation for how she feels and thinks and in relation to some of her behaviours. She was incredibly knowledgeable around not only ADHD but a whole range of neurodivergent conditions such as autism, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, dyslexia. She was also very knowledgeable as to how her secondary school could and should help support her in school and the adjustments we could ask to be considered.
Kelly’s communication was fantastic and the final report was thorough with advice on what steps to take next. She also provided information on a number of options for assessment such as a private pathway or via the right to choose.
Due to our daughter’s struggles and hormones playing a part we made the decision to pay privately for quicker assessment. As a result our daughter received her diagnosis of inattentive ADHD on 9th March 2024. This was 8 weeks from our appointment with Kelly. On reflection we could’ve waited and saved ourselves the cost but there was no guarantee due to government intervention on right to choose that she’d get seen.
As our 6 year old has a little time to go before hormones start to impact her further we have followed Kelly’s advice and been successful in getring her onto the right to choose pathway and should be seen within 7 months as opposed to the 2-5 year current NHS waiting list in our area.
We are incredibly grateful to Sarah and Kelly for their help and cannot recommend them enough.
During this process we found Sarah’s books “How NOT to murder your ADHD kid” and “How not to damage your ADHD adolescent” incredibly helpful.
And I have recommended her book “Teachers! How not to kill the spirit in your ADHD kids” to my youngest daughter’s teacher who has bought this for the school so they can be further informed around how to manage behaviours in school and how to help them progress.
The books are so easy to read, especially as I have ADHD myself, are informative and provide lots of help and support on how to help our children and teens thrive.

Brutal inflexible cancellation policy

Booked initial consultation had to cancel due to unforeseen family circumstances but did not fall within 48 hour cancellation policy - even though gave notice in morning first thing re evening scheduled meeting no flexibility, wanted to charge full price again to rebook - a lot of money for no input - very disappointed especially given supposed understanding of adhd - would never do this again - paying full amount upfront for initial consultation should have been a red flag - very disappointed and very out of pocket !
