Written by the company

Once upon a time – over 20 years ago, long before Bitcoin, TikTok and robotic surgeons were even a twinkle in the universe – we took our first baby steps into the world of encrypted online solutions for the private healthcare sector. A forward-thinking family unit – made up of key players in the sector – had a lightbulb moment. And from these ideas about a better way to connect healthcare businesses, the foundations of Healthcode were laid. Now those baby steps have become giant leaps for the industry. Continually developing, responding and breaking new ground. Pioneering new ways to improve efficiency and banish ineffective admin processes. All in the interest of making the lives of those using our solutions easier.

I am very pleased with the cus serv. No waiting time on the phone, very helpful even for the silliest computer issues. I am very thankful.

Axa recognition on Healthcode

I am just starting to use Healthcare for billing but it is not an easy site to use. It is not intuitive and online help is not clear. I had a problem with AXA recognition on Healthcode (although I am already recognised but them) but Amrit was very helpful. She immediately identified the problem - which lay with AXA - and within minutes the problem has been resolved. Thank you Amrit 5*

Glitchy website, good customer support assistants

The PPR website is glitchy and does not allow you to save, but thankfully we are notified of the fact, so I managed to get to the end (even through the website was beginning to behave very strangely and unpredictably). There also seems to be a little asynchrony between the stages of application approval and sending out account details. The customer service assistants, however, were very responsive and reassuring (Danielle and Amrit), and this helped me feel that things are going well. I am hoping that Healthcode will do the required work my job and theirs a little smoother.

Excellent service

Needed help with amending the procedure profile (PPR). Amrit in Customer Services was very helpful and told me how to enrol in 1-1 training which I did 30 mins later with Robert who was also extremely helpful.

glitchy and useless

I have been on Healthcode for a long time. Initially they were free and glitchy, and now they cost an expensive subscription free and continue glitchy. Avoid if you can and demand the insurer to give you a direct way to invoice them.

I am a provider and needed help with the invoicing of AXA patients in particular (membership numbers always problematic as there is no consistent format). Rebecca helped me most efficiently and patiently this morning. I was dreading the task and she made it extremely smooth and pleasant. Thank you Rebecca.

This is the worst website I have ever used. Trying to register as a practitioner is very hard work. Nothing is intuitive and lacks explanation what different section mean. The system insists you provide information that is not marked with a star (so in theory should be voluntary to complete), and it does not allow you to save it until it is all completed. I am struggling to understand how any reputable company would want to be associated with them!

I wish it was just a username/password issue. It's a terrible website. Windows 95 stuff. It keeps crashing. I can't access it unless I manage to run the labyrinth of certain keystrokes to gain entry.

Probably the worst service provider in the healthcare industry.

Have used healthcode since inception. They run probably the most clunky website I've ever encountered- private practice register. They also act as middlemen for electronic invoices from private providers - charge both parties and frequently breaks down. A fine example of a British tech company ;(

I despair whenever I have the misfortune to use healthcode. Difficult to use, difficult to access any help or support. It takes an inordinate amount of time just trying to log-in let alone set up invoices. I think its time Vitality kicked them into touch. Vitality are now complaining that they don't want me to use their direct invoicing and use healthcode to avoid delay.

I don’t even want to give 1 star

I don’t even want to give 1 star; so appalling and impossible to use.
I think you can bypass by submitting invoices to AXA and Vitality directly.
I have cancelled my direct debit today as I can no longer waste my life if resources trying to navigate the awful system.
I’ll stop seeing patients registered with AXA and Vitality.
I managed all that without swearing!

I entirely agree with the comments that it fails to provide the expected level of service and support. Multiple glitches, today the Healthcode log in site fails to recognise my log in or the registered e mail address to which it sends invoices reminding me that I actually pay for a service that is so whole-fully poor.
