Rough and loud Groupon massage

Living social voucher
We couldn’t book our first preference of Heaven Rathmines as they couldn’t find a date to accommodate two at a time. It also took a few calls before they called us back. But the first contact didn’t have great English. I was called back the next day by two managers to say they would have fit us in eventually but we had already called their city centre branch which the first receptionist recommended.

The place was upstairs and small but nicely decorated. My masseus has to leave to get oil from next door where my sister was she was quite loud in her request. When she returned she didn’t ask about pressure requirements throughout.

She was very much disengaged and just going through the motions. She did not massage my hands or forearms.
Her approach was rough in parts til it came to shoulders which felt like she was trying to scrape nail varnish off a fingernail nothing was achieved here. No manipulation was executed around shoulder blade, traps or neck effectively.

Next she pumped oil on her hands then slathered it all on my face which is making me make the same face I did then when I was drowning in oil.

Rather alarmingly she sat the bed up at the end almost sitting me at 90 degree angle without warning. With my fibromyalgia and M.E diagnosis written on consult form. Had she read it she would surely have asked me before she sat the bed up as I suffer terrible dizziness and chronic pain due to the condition and it strained my lower back with the jolt.

It was very noisy outside as to be expected on O’Connell street ambulances and police cars and lots of Spanish students could be heard outside.

As a qualified Ayurvedic massage therapist I understand the pressure therapists are under when fulfilling Groupon deals. But I would definitely not return here.
