RIP OFF BIG TIME

This company is not reliable in the least. Our story is the same as the others on this site. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau, others should do the same. There were no other complaints about them when I checked the BBB, now there should be one for people to at least know they are a rip off.

SCAM!!!!!!

My experience was the same as alll those below. Ordered part, paid immediately by credit card, but never received the part. They do not answer emails, and their "customer service number" is always busy. This is a scam company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Helpfulitem.com.

Should have Googled before I ordered

Ordered on 4/5/10 and cedit card charged immeadiately. As of 6/3/10 nothing received. No response to numerous emails, phone usually busy. The one time I got an answer (5/14/10) Wendy could not understand the delay and would "mention to owners". Told her to cancel order. She said she would and issue credit on card within 48 hours.

Three weeks later, still no credit. Filed dispute with credit card issuer.

May have been a great company at one time but appears to have went "south" in latter part on 2009

too bad these folks had to get 1 star

every review here is totally on target. Ordered parts and waited 3 weeks before I started calling and e-mailing. Talked to the "owner" and told him to cancel the order because I could no longer wait on the part. He said my credit card would be credited. That never happened. A second call to Wendyan I was informed again the card would receive a credit. Finally called the bank and told them the part was never received. CROOKS CROOKS CROOKS DO NOT BUY FROM THIS WEB_SITE

1 STAR FOR FRAUD

I wish, I wish I had googled this company and found these reviews first. Unfortunately, I too have been ripped-off by these frauds. Same exact story as these other reviews. Wow. Internet fraud is alive and well.

Everything negative you read here is true

I don't even think they deserve one star. Had I done my homework and checked out these reviews before I placed my order, I would not have to worry about raising a dispute or changing my credit card number. I too received the confirmation email and 4 inquiry emails later without any response shows that this company is seriously not legit. I have never been able to call their number without getting a busy signal...must be because of all the other folks who got scammed trying to call too. At least I've learned the valuable lesson of checking out a company before buying from them.

Crooks!

Wish I had checked first! I have had really good luck ordering online until now. I ordered a range burner in Feb, no response until I e-mailed a request to cancel the order (around May 1) then they sent a USPS "tracking number". (May 13) I wonder if they send everybody the same #? Check yours - mine is 9405 5036 9930 0232 9038 40. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM unHELPFULITEM again!

Must be a scam

I April 2010 I ordered a simple oven fan switch online after speaking with a COMPANY REPRESENTATIVE on the toll free number. I was assured that I would have the part by May 5. My credit card was charged and never received the part and the toll free number is busy all the time.

Scam company

I ordered parts April 21 and have not received my order. Credit card was charged, no response to e mails and phone # just rings busy. Believe the company is a scam.

Is this company a scam?

I ordered 2 parts one month ago and my credit card was charged immediately. I have not received any item so far and every time I try to call their number, all I get is a busy phone signal. I have also sent 2 emails but did not get any response either. At this point, either the company is a scam or the service is very poor.

Either a scam or the worst E-Biz on the planet

I ordered a part in February and still have not received it as of May 5th. I have contacted the company on numerous occasions and have been told the following: It will ship tomorrow; We'll check into it and call you right back; We'll check into it and send an e-mail with a tracking number (for shipping). I received no call, no e-mail and NO PART. Now when I call, I get a busy signal... do yourself a favor, stay away from this company...

Buyer beware - this company is a scam! No helpful items!

I placed an order for Maytag washer valve on 4/10/10. Followed up one week later - no reply. Sent email again 4/21 and then got reply with a tracking number. As of 5/2 the tracking number shows that the product has not yet been delivered to the shipper. I am not sure I will ever get it. I called the hotline - it is always busy.

3 weeks and still no part!

Ordered a burner for my stove on 4/9/10 it is now 4/29/10 and still no part. I sent them an email on 4/9/10 asking a question and it took them 12 days to respond! The 866-299-8963 phone # is constantly busy, can't get through. I wish I had not ordered with them. Terrible customer "no service". They charged my credit card and failed to deliver the product. In my book that is fraud. As soon as I post this I am going to call my credit card company to file a dispute. This is unacceptable business practice.

Shoddy company

I placed my order on 4/17/10 and was immediately charged. I also received a confirmation for my order. After several days where I had not received shipping information I began calling and sending emails daily. I never got a response. They never answer their phone and you always get a voicemail. Leaving a message does no good as they won't call you back. They never responded to a total of 7 email messages regarding my order. This is the most lousy company I have ever dealt with online in 17 years of using the internet. Save yourself utter frustration and do not order from this company. You'll be glad you didn't. I finally had to contact my credit card company and file a dispute. Their web site is misleading as it states they "strive to deliver the best customer service". Don't believe it. Sorry, sorry company.

poor

Ordered item 4/4/10 and my credit card was immediately billed for item. On 4/9/10 I called and spoke with owner of company to check on order. He told me it would ship via USPS Priority mail on 4/11. It should have taken no more than two business days to arrive. On 4/14, I called again about status to find item was not shipped yet. This time I was told they messed up and it would go out that day. Waited three buiness day without arrival. Called again on 4/18 and Customer Service Rep said she would get back to me with an update on status. She called back later but did not leave any info. on my voice mail. When I returned call, no one answered their phone. Called again 4/19 twice (they appanently screen their calls) and found that the item still had not shipped. Frustrated by now, I immediately cancelled order and now find that it will take them 7-10 days to credit my account. Did I mention that they billed my credit card immediately upon order placement? This company is incompetent...

The poorest customer service I've ever experienced!

I placed an order in Dec. 2009 for some Jenn Air products. I ordered 3 items and of coarse they were delayed a couple weeks, which was ok, but when i got my order it was incomplete. I have called them for 4 months trying to either get my part or a refund. NO RETURN CALLS EVER. I guess I'll be making a trip down to their warehouse soon. I wish I had read this site first!

Still awaiting my refund....

I bought a heating element for my maytag dryer from helpfulitems and it took at least 3 weeks before I received it. I ended up sending it back in the original box and sent it back. I then figured I'd call the company and let them know it was on its way back for a credit return. They finally called me back a few days later and said they don't accept returns. I said well it's already on its way back. She said ok but there is a somekind of fee. I said ok and I am still waiting for my credit. I check my online banking and still nothing! I call and all I get is the answering machine. I have called at least 3 times and don't want to be a pest, but come on! Will I ever get my money back! How rude of them! I am hoping for a call/credit my account.

CUSTOMER SERVICE???

Credit card was charged immediately eventhough they don't have the items ready for shipment until 3 weeks later. No replies from customer service about why the credit card was charged and no shipment. When we found out the part is not what we need and wanted to return them, very slow in contacting us eventhough we repeatedly told them that everything is in the original, unopen packaging.
