The training is clear, fun and not difficult. However, my labrador/retriever cross is so food driven (obsessed!) That it wasn't right for him. He was too focused on the food, even if it was boring.... See more

I’ve taken part in the free thrive in 2025 challenge. It’s a bit early to make a proper conclusions but using Toms tips and playing some games my springer spaniels is noticeably calmer (he was previously totally psychotic)

Huge thanks to Tom and all the Team at Help my Dog for their expertise, which has made our lives with our dog much more rewarding and fun.
I’ve been in the Hub almost a year now, it’s brilliant. There is so much information about games based concept training. Tom is truly inspirational, full of enthusiasm, compassion and fun.
The games have helped to transform and calm my dog’s over-exuberant crazy behaviour, improve his focus and actually listen to me. The My Walks are Stressful (a 10 day plan) has been a real help and the Emergency Recall Solutions Course has given me more confidence. The monthly subscription is excellent value.
The private Facebook group is an amazing safe space to talk about your dog and Tom’s weekly teaching sessions are so valuable.
If your dog is struggling with any aspect of life, Tom and Team can help you and your dog to live a happier life together.

Genuinely the best dog training I’ve experienced. Great people with so much knowledge, experience and kindness. It just makes sense and helps with everything. Changed mine and my dog’s life ❤️

Dr Tom and his team are amazing! I purchased the 10 day plan a few weeks ago and are already seeing fantastic results with our Maltese-Shitsu x Pomeranian who is very head strong, even as a puppy. I've just watched the 5 day Help my dog THRIVE in 20205 Challenge, and one thing really stood out. We spent 4 days learning skills to teach our dogs, and on the 5th day he showed us what to do if your dog was not ready yet and still experiencing disengagement and reactivity, and this was INVALUABLE! No promises of a happy ending, but work in progress, and his passion is unsurpassed. Spread the word worldwide Dr Tom and thank you, Kaz from Australia

I've just completed the 5 day Thrive challenge. So much information and it was free. I've tried many other trainers to no avail but Dr Tom is different. I've learnt a lot already and so has my dog!

I'm very much enjoying being a Help My Dog Hub member, all the way from Canada.
Tom's style is fun and energizing!
I have done the 10-day Leash walking course, Force field programme, and I've learnt lots from the Gorse Diaries.
I love to dive into the science with the Geek section.
The weekly lives are awesome and full of useful stuff that is practical and easy to implement.
Everything has complemented my Behavet consult.
So worth the money for an annual subscription.

We are so grateful to The Help my Dog Hub. We started off by doing the 10 day Walks are stressful challenge. Toms enthusiasm for dog training is contagious, his teachings are fun, informative and non judgmental, explaining the why of dog behaviour and how to tackle the issue backed up with great demonstrations.
We therefore joined the hub where we found not only an abundance of lessons but also unlimited support from Tom, his team and the lovely Facebook community. Questions are answered promptly and always with positivity and kindness. It is lovely to watch our dog becoming more engaged with us and less reactive to the outside world.

Help my dog has transformed our lives! Many different dog trainers will tell you how to ‘fix’ your dogs reactivity but Dr Tom Mitchell’s methods actually will ‘fix’ your dogs reactivity, we have living proof of that in our 4 year old Romanian rescue dog. When she arrived with us 3.5 years ago she was terrified of everything and reactive to everything, dogs, people, noises both inside and out. We were close to the point of rehoming her and then I found Dr Tom and behavet and subsequently Help my dog. Following their methods since then we have slowly but surely grown her in to a non reactive, happy, relaxed part of our family. The dog that initially barked and everything inside and out now rarely barks at anything not even the door bell.
Being an HMD hub member allows me to accessa short training videos, face book lives and other challenges and courses that give you everything you need to transform your dogs struggles just like we have. With a supportive online community to cheer you on and help troubleshoot any issues.
I am super proud of our dogs progress but I owe it all to Help my dog and Dr Tom!

There are no words to express the valuable help I have received from Behavet and Help my Dog over the last year. I have a very reactive dog who I thought I was never going to be able to help. I then stumbled across the Sexier than a squirrel challenge and saw how a games based approach to training really worked with my dog. I then saw an ad on Facebook for Behavet and realised I could get more help only paying via my pet insurance with no impact on my premiums. Dr Lily is amazing and the difference after a year’s guidance is incredible. Next was the thrive challenge with Tom and Anita - a marathon of free training again with a games based approach which provided so many light bulb moments. I have now joined the hub to complement the guidance provided by Dr Lily. If you have a dog who is proving to be a challenge then don’t despair. Contact Behavet and Help my Dog and you will be able to achieve incredible results.

Struggling with my new rescue dog I was overwhelmed by all the different training advice on the internet. I came across Dr. Tom and Help My Dog Hub on Facebook and decided to give it a go…cost is very reasonable compared to other similar sites. I couldn’t believe the value of money as there is such a vast range of useful clear and educational videos and advice. Dr Tom is wonderfully passionate, extremely knowledgeable and experienced and for the first time I felt there was hope for me and my dog to overcome his struggles. In two months we have made so much progress from following Dr.Toms videos and live weekly broadcasts. The rarity of the HMD hub is that as well as being educational and easy to follow, it is entertaining and addictive! I can’t recommend HMD highly enough for anyone who has dogs, even if you are not particularly struggling I think you will still benefit from membership. The support from other members on Facebook is also wonderful. If you are wondering how to get help for you and your dogs, don’t hesitate help is waiting for you in the Help My Dog Hub.

Plus Tom Mitchell is always bouncy, enthusiastic, encouraging and fun - a delight to learn with.

I found out about Help My Dog Hub by taking part in the recent Help my Dog Thrive in 2025 challenge on Facebook. There was so much content in the challenge (which was free to join) that was really really helpful for my dogs, who are both rescues and very reactive and nervous. I have done a lot of research into in-person and online training for my dogs, and I hand on heart think this is the best training programme I've ever found. The training is delivered through games that are based on behaviour theory. They seem really simple at first, but already after 5 days, I've seen changes in my dogs wellbeing and ability to cope with new situations and challenges. Can't wait to join the Hub to keep the learning going!

I am a dog trainer and member of the Help My Dog Hub.
I have been learning from Dr. Tom for a while now and through the Thrive 2025 challenge have now been fortunate to learn from Dr Anita as well. No matter what you know now, you will pick up something you didn't or a nuance of something you did know every time you listen to them speak.
The games based/concept training is the only way I train and has been and continues to be a game changer in daily life with my own 3 dogs.
I highly recommend joining the hub and I am super grateful for the free recent Thrive 2025 Challenge. Tons of information. Dr Tom and Dr Anita compliment each other perfectly and work with their different breeds, personalities and ages of dogs to demonstrate how the games can be changed to suit a specific individual.
The community is kind, compassionate and helpful.
If I could give 10 stars, I would!

I have been following Tom since 2019 and every time I watch a video or participate in the sessions I come away with aha moments and re-energized. The skills I have learned I pass along all the time. Thank you! I highly recommend helpmydog as a way to go and help with your dog behaviour concerns. You and your dog will have a much happier life.

Simple and straightforward strategies to help anyone who has a dog with struggles. You and your dog don't need any "training knowledge" to be able to see transformation. Play the games, add in levels and you will see a difference. My dog is reactive to other dogs. After working on games and strategies, he was able to go to a 3 day dog conference with 400 people and 100 dogs!

I absolutely enjoy the teachings by Tom! I get so much out of it every time! I am a veterinary professional who is wanting to redirect my profession towards behavior training. I am a Hub member and I am so grateful that there is new teaching weekly. It's like constant CE! The "ask" team(Madeleine and others) have always been extremely responsive and helpful. I highly recommend Help! My Dog... for professionals and regular dog owners.

We’ve just completed Dr Toms “ Help! My Dog Thrive in 2025 Challenge”
To say it’s been useful is an understatement. It’s transformative. Huge value in just 5 days.
We’ve been inspired to learn more and have joined Help My Dog Hub for a year.
We now know how to overcome separation anxiety in our rescue Doberman, and we know we’ll get the support we need to make it happen.
Highly recommended.
Thank you.
