Sigh..very frustrating - shop somewhere else

Sigh... this has been a bad first experience with this company.

- I placed an order or Oct 27 for 6 items.
- On Oct 28th, I received an email that my order was shipped. Unfortunately, I could see it would be only 1 of the 6 items. There was no mention of the remaining 5 items or when I would receive them.
- On Nov 2nd, I received shipment of 1 of the 6 items
- On Nov 13th, I contacted the company to ask about the remaining 5 items.
- On Nov 14th, Henry's emailed me saying that all but one of my items would be shipped soon and I was given a shipping tracking number. I discovered this tracking number was for the old shipment, which I already received.
- on Nov 14th, I again asked when my remaining 5 items would arrive.
- on Nov 17th, I emailed again to ask when my 5 items would arrive.
- on Nov 18th, I received an email reply addressed to the wrong person
- on Nov 24th, I was asked to provide my credit card information again. I was told my items would be shipped 'soon'
- on Dec 11, I received an email that items from my order are now being shipped. In checking on this, I discovered it is only 2 of the 5 remaining items.

I am unsatisfied with the customer service. If an order was going to be this delayed, I would hope the business would contact the customer to inform them and apologize.
It has been over 6 weeks since the order was placed, and I have only received one item.

This is very frustrating and not acceptable. I can't say anything good about this experience.

I still don't know when the order will be fully received.

Any repair service

It has been 6 month since I left for repair my lense. I already paid 300$ and nowadays, I still have any information from them despite my reminders. I don't have any news even if I send email or by phone, they are not able to answer me. Where is my lense ? Is it repaired ? How can I get it ? I don't know what to do to reach them.

Great Attentive service

Must say my experience with Henry's Heartland Mississauga, was totally amazing.
Took my camera to repair, and now needed one to use in the meantime but they do not rent, then again was given options as to what I can do. Many options were available. Within three days had a replacement to use for my shoots, while the repairs were being done on my broken camera.
What had me, was that the next week I returned, the Manager noticed me and actually called me by name, and came over to help out.
Bastien was truly amazing and extremely helpful, as I am not a professional, he treated me as one and made sure I did not leave without a solution for getting, and having a camera to use.
Service as that is truly hard to find. And although this is the second week, with Bastien advised now have a camera to work with, also checking back at the store, He will call me and come over to help, and check on the status of my camera, without having to ask.
I came in with a problem and left with many options to have.
In my opinion, Henry's Heartland, and Bastien, surely will have my business.

Ridiculous repair service offering should be scrapped ...

I took a Panasonic camera into Henry's in London ON for repairs. I called six times over the following 2 weeks to get status. Each time I was on hold for a long duration of time - in excess of 12 minutes per call - and the first 5x I was told the repair order was locked on their system and could not be accessed. A week later, I reached a supervisor who sent me the repair info in email. A $450 camera came back with a repair for the SD reader in the camera at $736 plus tax. This is ridiculous no one is going to use this service and all the time and effort to contact them to even get this ridiculous quote. Henry's if you have a repair service for a used camera that costs almost twice the amount of the original camera, I cannot imagine many will use it. Nevermind, when I first took into the store, the clerk told me average repairs for an SD card reader were $200-$300.

Update October 2022: Got a call and an email from the Manager at Henry's Customer Service. His recommendation was to replace the camera from a third-party site!?!? Um. #1 you had my camera for 3 weeks and I could not do my work. #2 the ESTIMATES you provide for cost of repair were more than 300% too little (estimate $200-$300 CDN - actual repair cost when presented with invoice for repairs $736CDN) and #3 why are you telling people it's better to buy third-party than from the company for which you work? Again, as I stated above, if you cannot provide more accurate repair cost estimates and cannot repair cameras within a more reasonable cost, this service should be scrapped - you are wasting people's time and making them upset with the final estimate received.

Communication + Customer "Care"

Been waiting patiently for my "special order" and I DO NOT advice anyone from taking this route with Henry's.

I have contacted them 4 times and once went into their downtown Toronto location to speak to their representatives. They were very unprofessional, even as to belittle my purchase as something cheap and basically not worth their time, as if I was at fault for choosing to pick up an inexpensive lens for my studies at school.

I do admit that there is a note on their site about possible wait times, BUT this does not excuse the perceived tactic to rob budget conscious people of their money (no refunds, no exchanges), and making it very difficult to get any kind of feedback.

I will dispute this if I do not get my deserved purchase and I encourage others not to settle for such an evasive scheme that is still active to this day.

2 months since my order..

Extremely disapointed. I ordered a couple of printed photos on July 10th.. It's September 14th and I still received nothing.. I don't what to do, I send them 2 messages to know whats going on, got no responses from them. I want a refund but I'm afraid that I'll wait even longer for that..

I have bought a camera from them two weeks ago and wanted to return the camera, I called them for three times and each time over 30 minutes and no one answered and I was kept waiting and then I filled twice the forms and sent them and still no answer.
I don’t know what kind of company this is they don’t give a toss about the customers and they should not be in business.

I ordered a lens from them a month or…

I ordered a lens from them a month or so ago. After a couple of weeks had gone by I asked when I would get my lens. I gave them the order confirmation they had sent me, with the number. They come back to me with "we never received an order from you". Ookay, then why do I have a confirmation email from you! I told them to forget it, I didn't want it if they did find it, I'd order from somewhere more competent. Which I did. I received my new lens from Amazon a week later. Then I get an email from Henry's, saying they sent the lens that I supposedly didn't order. So, I sit here with two lenses, one that I don't want, and I've yet to hear from them after sending two emails.

They've screwed up my bank account by sending me this lens that I didn't want. To top it off, my husband informed me that I swore I would never order from Henry's again since last time they screwed up and charged me for two lenses a few years ago. That's on me, forgetting that. What an awful company. I want my money back and postage paid for sending you your bloody lens back Henry's.

Awful experience.

Awful experience.
I order a whole set of printer ink (200$ in value) over a month ago.
Suddenly my user account became unusable and I saw they were updating their online store.
Finally managed to get back into my account a week later. All of my previous orders have disappeared including the unfulfilled one with the ink.
I have sent them email, called them, requested call back, tried the online chat.
Its been 5 weeks since my order and 1.5 weeks since I tried reaching them, impossible to hear back.

I ordered a used Nikon 35mm lens online…

I ordered a used Nikon 35mm lens online and made payment of $201 from my credit card.

They sent me a link to track order status. On that link there is no details about the order and I patiently waited for 3 weeks. Then I started calling their helpline for accurate update on what is going on with the order and they are giving an excuse/reason that their website server/system transitioned from old to new system.

I specially went to their location in winnipeg and enquired about the lens specs and they were the ones who found a used lens in their website and recommended me to order it as it was on deal. I now lost out on the deal as well as waited 3 weeks with misleading info.

I was given run around for a week and then finally they say that they are unable to fulfill my order as it was ordered on old system and our new system cannot fulfill the same.

They did not have any warning or notice on their website saying that we are experiencing a transition of system so any order made currently would not be fulfilled. This was misleading. The total amount of the order was also on hold as per my online banking status of credit card.

I have lost a few professional commitments due to this delay and runaround and no clear response and feel cheated and misleaded on this.

Kindly help me with this as this can happen with any consumer and they can get away with it by just saying we cannot fulfill it

Worst customer service I've ever experienced

Ordered prints online because I wanted to shop Canadian. A confirmation email arrived immediately and my credit card was charged. That was nearly 3 weeks ago and I haven't had an update or been able to reach anyone since then to find out when and IF I'll get my prints.

Online chat was useless. Phoned and left my number for a callback. Was on another call but when I called back again, I got a message saying, we are so far behind on calls, please email us. Emailed almost a week ago. So far received 3 emails thanking me for my patience but no information. This is the worst customer service I've experienced, bar none. Is my 3-week-old order in progress? I still have no idea!

purchased an in stock flash and some rechargeable batteries. took 8 days just to get an email saying that part of my order had been shipped. still waiting over16 days later for my flash. could have ordered it from a number of other online resellers and gotten in within a week. such a horrific experience

On-line order

On-line order - hopeless. 1 week after order, nothing. Two phone calls, no answer after 15-20 " waiting. Could not even leave a message or # for call back. Called B&M twice. 1st time Losi said she could check online and get back to me. Lies, never heard back. 2nd time was told not in stock and no idea when. Having bought $ 00000 of camera equipment in store in the last few years. Never again. Got it on Amazon for a few #$ more.

Disgraceful... Avoid

This place is a joke!
Eventually when the food turned up, the delivery guy was insulting, and rude, trying to justify a late delivery by saying my contact number was wrong ( even tho, they've delivered 20 plus times before).

The guy told me to "go away" but with f s in it, and order from somewhere else if I didn't like it.

To be fair, in the end, he got as good as he gave, and ran away back to his pathetic little red car, as quick as he could.

He was asking me to sort out his genetalia with his fingers in the air, as he ran off.

Shame, I liked the food, but I ll kill this t##t if I ever happen to come across him again.

Should have read these reviews before ordering. Henry’s used to be, emphasis USED TO BE, a good place to order camera equipment from. Not any longer. Beware!
I ordered a Nikon sb700 flash that was supposed to be rated 8+, but instead got a rather scuffed unit without instructions, without the accessories, without a case & without the instruction manual. I’d rate that at about a 5 at best. As well, service was ghastly, it took half a month to reach me, in BC.
NEVER AGAIN is my motto from now on !
