We recently had the pleasure of working with Heron Electrical to install our third Tesla Powerwall 2 and upgrade our electrical setup to three-phase across our property. From start to finish, the experience was excellent.

Dave and Ben, along with their team, worked extremely hard and delivered the results we'd hoped for. Despite encountering some unexpected challenges, they managed to complete the project on time and within the agreed budget. Their dedication and expertise were evident throughout the entire process.

From Ben first visiting to survey our property and quote to the installation it was a pleasure to deal with Heron. Sue in the office was responsive and very supportive ensuring all the associated applications were completed. The installation team were courteous and professional and ensured the installation was efficient and to a high standard.

A very good company to deal with…

As always with a major capital outlay I seek two questions normally from friends recommendations that have researched the market. In this case Heron was recommended with one other National company from two of our friends.
I was particularly impressed with Heron as Ben called and surveyed the property compared to the other company that surveyed remotely using Google earth. As a consequence Ben was able to advise on having two more solar panels than the completion, plus an extra domestic hot water heater to save on gas heating and an intelligent Octapus battery that was the same capacity as the competitions quote and Heron were very marginally cheaper. But it was not the price that swung the deal it was the advice on maximising the benefits from the instalation proposed that impressed me, coupled with the genuine no sales pressure.
The scaffolding team and installation team were all perfect gentlemen regarding customer interaction. You couldn’t have wished for a better experience than was delivered by all. They were all genuinely customer focused causing as little disruption as possible.

I had Ben from Heron quote for my solar needs - 10 panels and 2 batteries so far.
I chose Heron and it proved to be a wise choice.
There was no hard sell and Ben was very knowledgable on his products aswell as the upgrades required to my house's electrics of which i was aware but was omitted by the companies.
Everyone i dealt with at Heron was very helpful.... Ben , Sue , Travis and the others... all my questions including the daft ones were answered with ease.
I'm very with the finished system and will happily recommend Heron to anyone who asks.

Heron Electricals fitted our solar panels and we found the experience very good. It all went smoothly with no fuse. The fitter and electricians were very friendly and explained how to use the system and app very well. Over all very good service

Heron Electrical have just supplied and fitted a solar panel system to my bungalow. The whole experience with them from initial quote to finalising the installation was fantastic. The whole installation was done in a day, with minimal disruption. I'm now running on Solar power and doing my bit to save the planet.

All communication has been great and questions answered quickly - thanks Sue and Ben. Despite us being a fair distance away everyone from the Surveyor to the Scaffolder to the Installers arrived when they said they would. The team installing did so in horrendous rain and wind. They also had a very long day but still remained professional. All paperwork received within an hour of the job being finished. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Heron Electrical and their teams.

From communication to install and commissioning, Heron Electrical provided an excellent service. They also dealt with all the paperwork associated with the DNO, making the entire process a breeze. All equipment was very professionally and neatly installed.
Had a few queries after the install, regarding the setup and they were promptly dealt with. I would happily recommend Heron Electrical.

We used Heron Electrical to install a home battery system. The service throughout was professional and friendly. There was a slight hiccup due to our internet signal not reaching the garage where the battery was installed but this was sorted out without fuss. The installers were all helpful and polite and arrived on time, and cleared up afterwards. Excellent service.

From the first visit to explain what our options were through to completion of the project, the Heron team have been easy and professional to work with.
The roofing and electrical installation teams worked for two days in the worst weather imaginable and never complained once. Their quality of work, communication and work ethic were a credit to Heron.
We just have to wait for some sunshine to reap the benefits.

We used Heron for solar and battery installation. They're a family firm and they really put in the extra effort during and after it was installed to make sure everything was working. It took a day and a half to install. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat. Another family member used the same firm and had the same experience, as have others in our local community. At our current rate, we will have paid off the investment in 3-4 years.

Exemplary communication and service throughout. Ben & Sue were fantastic in challenging National Grid to get approval to increase my battery storage and then getting my works undertaken promptly. Dan & Tom attended on the agreed day and worked so hard and cleaned up so no mess at all. I have dealt with a number of PV companies over the years and Heron surpass them all be a significant margin.

The company provided a competitive quote with VAT as requested for a 9.4kWh battery (no solar) which, after a few questions (back and forth promptly by e-Mail) they fitted within a few weeks of my agreeing.

I then found out (before being invoiced) that I could have had a small solar arrangement as part of the same set up, i.e. effectively for the price of the VAT. I asked if they could still do that (which they could) and they came back and fitted it as well (again within a few weeks).

The work, electricians and roofers have been excellent, neat and tidy and they have come back quickly to snag an issue with the reporting/monitoring (needing a new clamp on a cable).

I could not recommend this company highly enough!

Highly recommended. Dave and Ben worked with me from the first visit to final handover achieving the best for my specific requirements. Clear pricing, knowledgeable staff, tidy install and good communication with all necessary paperwork received in a timely fashion. I'll be getting them back in the new year to add some more panels once our kitchen extension roof is done.

I have recently had a 6.22 kW system installed alongside a Tesla Powerwall 2. I live significantly out of area to Heron but they were prepared to provide an indicative quote and then conduct a site visit for a modest admin fee that was deductible should I proceed with the work.

The quote was good value (not cheapest, but close - and they have all the accreditations.

Heron handled all the DNO applications and kept me informed throughout. An install date was agreed and the team turned up exactly on time and installed the system.

The quality of work and attention to detail was great and the system explained to me. This was followed up by a call the next day from one of the Directors to check all was ok.

Most surprisingly, Heron then ensured that I had received all the certificates, schematic drawings and insurance backed warranty documents before raising the invoice for final payment.

Overall, a fantastic experience and I can genuinely say there is nothing they could have done better!

Very professional and reliable installers, I had been looking for such a company for around 12 months and this company is excellent. There are many dubious companies out there so it was reassuring to have found Heron. Can't recommend them more highly. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, in this case we got everything and more!
