Finest quality Italian boots, I received from herrings,the style quality , workmanship,sheer excellence, beautiful leather, inside,and out,superb brogue boots, excellent, dispatch, time,and customer service

For over 6 years I have been a regular customer of Herring. Ordering shoes for delivery in Japan and in Australia.

My last two purchases, both Crup Cordovan, the first pair, tassel loafers was fine. I ordered a second pair, longwing brogues. This pair was of such poor quality that I was totally shocked and highly disappointed.

On receipt of the second pair, I immediately emailed them to say the leather was not up to par. I had no response from them. Not even a question. Leaving me to assume that they were knowingly selling inferior quality shoes.

I had no choice but to wear the shoes. When I polished them, the leather on the sides were rough. Never ever seen on horse membrane Cordovan.

Today I wear these shoes as my rough shoes. Not much else I can do with them. I strongly doubt the material in cordovan.

I've switched to Pediwear and noticed lower prices and superior quality.

Their Edward James longwing cordovan is great value.

Great experience with Herring shoes. Super easy to purchase even from outside the UK. Tax was prepaid through the website. Shipping via DHL was super quick, I had my shoes delivered within 2 days. In my experience a shipment from Europe to Norway takes at least a week.

After a initial small hitch I was presented with different alternatives (all satisfactory) and everything was solved very swiftly. I have to say Ken Wilkins and Sean Prowse at Herring are the Epitome of customer service.

I bought the Herring Formia, Tan Calf Weave shoe size 12 from their website a few days ago and it was delivered a day early. Not only was I given a day's warning as to the delivery but two further notifications that the delivery was almost at the door.
The shoe was perfect. The quality was far more than I expected and it came with a shoe horn and a tub of shoe polish in tow.
This company deserves 10 stars. Bravo for quality and service. Flawless.

Just bought my first pair of Herring shoes. I must admit that they do not only look apart, they are also very comfortable. Often, classy shoes are very uncomfortable, but Herring go a step further and they also feel comfortable. You can actually wear classy shoes at work!

Bought a pair of Chelsea boots two weeks ago -all pretty good except leather inner half sleeve half way up both soles has already started rolling back after third time I wore them. As the boots are a snug fit (- too snug perhaps?? ) I think it will have to be reglued or replaced shortly. Not what I was expecting. 4YEARS LATER ALL GOOD . GREAT BOOTS

Top quality products and customer service.
The Herring brand shoes and bag I bought have all looked great and have been extremely durable.
When I have had to return items that did not fit, Herring have been extremely courteous and helpful.
This level of service is exceedingly rare (see my other Trustpilot reviews for proof...).

So far I have placed five orders with this vendor and so far I have no complaints whatsoever .

These guys are the real deal. I recently bought a pair of suede loafers from them. They arrived quickly in perfect condition, and I appreciated that they threw in a suede brush as I didn’t have one previously. Big fan of their focus on sustainability, I think it’s really essential and rare in fashion-related businesses.

Great customer service and quality own brand shoes. After a poor experience with Barkers who managed to sell me shoes they did not have I went to Herring. I will return as a customer.

In the last 10 years I have ordered quite a few shoes from Herrings, including Loakes, Trickers and Herring own brands. On most occasions I have usually ordered 3 different pairs , worn them carefully at home for a short while.....on carpets as instructed....made my decision on what pair best suits and returned the unwanted shoes back to Herrings. I have never ever had a problem with this company and they are a delight to deal with. May I make one more point. I like English brogue shoes and Herring do specialise in this particular type of shoe.It has been my experience that they do take a while to get used to wearing and to breaking in. English brogues are big,heavy, quite stiff shoes and built to exacting standards to last a long time....they are made to be long wearing. So, in reading some of the comments here regarding the comfort of brogues,you do need to take your time when you first start wearing them.In time I have found that they will loosen and soften and adapt to your foot and how you walk. If you do that then a good English brogue made by Loakes,Barkers,Churches,Trickers etc will give you years of service and will look good and be extremely comfortable. So the cost is worthwhile....all in my humble opinion of course.

Fast delivery, answers all the questions qyickly and the shoes I got were great.
The were also made by alfred sargent and were very close to there handgrades modul keats.
The colour and smell was very attractive.
The leather is very good I think and I think it is full grain crust leather.
According to some people on styleforum it is the same grade of leather as edward green and crockett jones hand grade.
The shoes were a bit dry when I got them, but they had probably been sitting on the shelf for a long time, luckily I know about conditioning and polishing shoes so I knew to condition them to soffen the leather before wearing them, otherwise they would probably have cracked due to being very dry out the box.
I really hope they stock more alfred sargent shoes in the future.
I will buy more shoes from them in the future for sure.
