This auction house sells FAKE items - buyers beware!!!!
I have been badly stung by them, to the tune of thousands. They sold me a bad FAKE Van Cleef bracelet - which after winning in an auction I noticed in the very small print they say not authenticated. I immediately contacted them to say I was concerned that it was a fake and they said bad luck you've bought it. I have now finally received it some 7 weeks later to see that not only is it a fake, it is a bad one at that. I will be having the gold tested to see if it even 18K as stated, I doubt it.

BEWARE!!...READ THE REVIEWS ON HERE!!. They have been written for a reason!! This company needs investigating.. DO NOT BUY DIAMONDS from these people. H&F International may sound professional however behind the scenes they are deceitful crooks.. They will list diamonds as graded, Brilliant cut this, Brilliant cut that but when they finally arrive they are worthless rubbish.. They do not inform you within the main description that they are clarity enhanced, fracture filled ect.. You will receive a diamond report EDR which is an indipendant organisation. Within the report It clearly states... Fracture filled and clarity enhanced therefore these diamonds CANNOT be graded.. At great expense i have fallen foul of these con artists - Take heed and avoid at all costs!!!!

Please READ the reviews before you bid on any items from this company.
Just a pity ZERO stars is not available.
Fees are criminal but what is worse is the late payment, be very careful they send two invoices, l paid the first one straight away as l was going away that day. When i returned a day later i had another invoice which i paid then i got a late payment charge nearly 800 pound...absolutely crazy.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Failure to Disclose Cat S Status & Dismissive After-Sales Response
I purchased a Volkswagen Caddy (Reg: YR62 YPZ) from H&F International in November 2021 via auction. At no point in the listing or invoice was there any mention that the vehicle had previously been recorded as a Category S insurance write-off following an accident in August 2019. This is a material fact that directly affects a vehicle’s value and a buyer’s decision to purchase. Had this been disclosed, I would not have bought the van.
I only discovered the Cat S status when attempting to part-exchange it recently, at which point I learned the marker predates my purchase by over two years. The omission has significantly reduced the vehicle’s value.
When I contacted the company, their response was simply that too much time had passed for them to investigate and that their systems at the time did not show the Cat S record. They also suggested my insurer should have informed me instead. They have now stated this is their “final position” and declined to look into it further.
I find this response extremely disappointing. Whether intentional or not, selling a vehicle without disclosing a known or discoverable write-off classification raises serious concerns about transparency and due diligence. The fact that the issue only came to light years later does not change that the status existed before the sale.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from this company to carry out their own independent history checks before bidding, rather than relying on the accuracy or completeness of auction descriptions.

Stay clear of this company until they are more transparent about their costs and charges or make sure you read the small print very carefully and satisfy yourself as to the huge hidden charges. Interesting that they post the same stock month on month that obviously doesn’t get sold ie two Rolex that have been popping up for months. Wouldn’t give them one star except I wanted to leave a review.

I bought a motorcycle £5,800
Then there was VAT £1,160
TOTALING. £6960
Then buyer charges. £1,160
Then admin fees. £295.0
Then VAT AGAIN. £291.0
TOTALING. £1746
Grand total. £8,706
Absolutely shocking thats what the motorcycle is worth if I bought it from a dealer plus I would get warranty ? This company piles it on !!!
Then the motorcycle i picked up was different to the one advertised as the advertised one was clean gleaming and flawless
The one I picked up looked like it had been on a motorcross track mud everywhere rear light not working serious chips on the front forks !!!
Absolutely shocked by it all and all they do is threaten with payments , storage charges and late payment charges !!!
I have pictures to show it too but no where on here to upload them !!

On 30 September 2025, I received written confirmation that the overpaid amount (£479.52) would be refunded. As of 13 November 2025, no payment has been received.
Additionally, further costs (£225.07) incurred due to the auction house’s error—costs they explicitly acknowledged and agreed to reimburse—remain unpaid. These expenses were advanced by me in good faith, based on their commitment to cover them.
Despite multiple reminders, no resolution has been provided.
Caution is advised when dealing with this auction house. Commitments are made, but not honored.

Update 25. Nov 2025
After 8 weeks (56 days) still no payment of the overpaid money.

Seriously avoid these people, they run another auction house called Fiveways, they put all manner of hidden fees in the terms, they for sure carry out shill bidding in the auction and they basically scam people with worthless stones. Do not do business with them

Purchased Lot 486 – a 2.01ct Heart Cut Lab-Grown Diamond with a GIA Certificate received an IGI certificate, not GIA, and in addition, the diamond's dimensions do not match those specified for the GIA-certified diamond in the auction catalogue.
No proper solution offered to date — no replacement with the correct item, and no refund.
Buyers should be extremely cautious, as in my case what was advertised and what was delivered were not the same. I have been scammed.

Bought a diamond necklace from them. It had a reserve price of £2k so would assume was worth at least that. So bid the reserve price. And obviously won. They then charged over £1300 in charges on top. No where on the bidding page did it mention it was lab grown. There was a link to another page where it disclosed this. But I bid on the information I could see on the auction description. My stupid error should have checked first. But feel I was defrauded by the first description. Be very careful. Necklace is only worth £300-500. Not £3300. They have now sent threatening letter. But I am not worried as I have kept receipts emails and photographs of there deceitful practices. Right upto the fact they advertise there genuine diamonds on auction advert as natural diamonds. Just says diamonds on there lab ones. No mention they are lab grown until you get down to the small print. Also advertised as it is 24k white gold clasp and chain. There are no stamps on either. So another con. Please take me to court. save me the costs of taking them. Or they can do the decent thing and refund me the full amount.

This company just defrauded me. One star is too many. I purchased a diamond which seemed to have an excellent GIA grading. The item was listed “For Sale”. Nowhere in the main diamond description did it show the diamond was color treated even though the GIA report which I only received with the item stated that the diamond was color treated. This was disclosed in 2 places on the cert. This company buried an inadequate 3-words in the the generic section of another disclosure failing to mention the word “diamond” or “color”. I asked for a full refund and after admitting that the disclosure was not adequate, and waiting over a week for their so-called “review”” they reverted back to their flat defense of their practices and denied my request for reimbursement. I plan to sue them. They have done this to many others.
My response to their BS reply. They had no interest whatsoever in privately resolving this matter. They refused to reimburse me at all. The owner of this company has had their auction association revoked as a result of this issue. They were sent a letter advising them that their membership was revoked. At this point they are inventing defenses.
I see the company has just removed their claim that they would work with me directly (which of course they failed to do) and replaced it with some legal disclosure in an attempt to try to silence me. I would suggest potential buyers stay far away from this establishment. I don’t understand how they are still in business.

Unbelievable charges. I bid £400 odd for a synthetic diamond and ended up paying over £900.
Also poor and confusing communication. I didn’t receive a notification that I had won the lot. I was then contacted with the information that two invoices were outstanding. I understood the second invoice was for a second lot. Turns out it was just fees and charges.
Having seen the updated reply to this review, I must say that I'm not sure it is legal for you to ban your customers from giving you genuine reviews based on their experiences (and what does that say about you anyway?). I also note that your original reply did not mention this; I wonder if that is because the condition, legal or not, is newly introduced?

The auctioneers were awful overall, rude in all communications and unreasonably high charges. Took over a month to finally receive my purchase. How it was dealt with by The Saleroom was also poor. Things were logged but as tho overseeing company you would expect some help and advice. Really awful overall experience
