Thoroughly professional service

Emma provided a thoroughly professional service during my husband’s visit. She carefully reviewed his progress with his Opticon hearing aids and general hearing, identifying a potential ear problem we were not aware of and made a ENT referral whilst we were in the appointment. Her communication was excellent throughout, never rushed. Emma updated everything to optimise my husband’s experience with his hearing aids. Highly recommend Emma and this service in general. Oh and brilliant coffee provided while we waited!

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. The amount they charge is insane. The hearing test was fine. I was then given some Oticon Zeal hearing aids which were very good, so I am not criticising Oticon. However, then came the Price £6400 for the pair!! I almost fell off my chair!! I asked the audiologist were they competitively priced. She said you might get them a little bit cheaper somewhere else. I then contacted the NHS hearing aid provider audiological science and was quoted £3600. That’s not a bit cheaper that’s £2800 cheaper and for what? they both offer a five-year manufacturers warranty, a 60 day trial. And 0% interest if you want to buy them with finance. I must admit I was staggered at the difference.
I have just had them fitted at home by the NHS approved supplier. And the final price was £3500. There will be so many people of an older generation than myself who will trust an audiologist and end up going with hidden hearing. Please if you have a family member who is considering a hearing aid. I cannot tell you how pleased I will be if you do not use this company. Hidden hearing you should be ashamed. You’re a Sales machine not a hearing specialist..

My recent experience at the Exeter branch

My recent experience at the Exeter branch of Hidden Hearing was one of excellence from start to finish.
A very thorough examination of my increasing hearing problems was performed and the necessary adjustments made. All procedures performed were explained fully. Thank you Hidden Hearing.

A Good Experience

A well constructed, systematic review of the (declining) state of my hearing. H/Aids checked and serviced and a supportive presentation of newer technology in hearing aids. Appointment made to take latter issue further. Overall, a good experience.

Broken appointment …

The next time you move a pre-agreed patient appointment, it would be helpful if you notified them to ask if new date/time (due to staff holiday) was convenient. Better that than inconvenience a 93 year old who turned up for a wasted appointment, not to mention a wasted 2 hour return trip for the accompanying person. Plus, this is the 2nd time!

I recently had an issue with one of my aids, so I contacted the Exeter branch who couldn't have been more helpful. Emma Rooms went above & beyond to fix the problem. I have always found the staff friendly & professional whichever branch i have visited.

I visited for my annual review which…

I visited for my annual review which consisted of a detailed health assessment of my ears. Emma identified a bacterial infection in one ear and a fungal infection in the other and stopped the review with a detailed plan to follow up with my GP. She reassured me of the urgency of the GP review which gave me the confidence to request an urgent appointment . I was seen the same day by the GP who followed Emma’s suggested plan. Treatment was prescribed & a 10 day follow up appointment was made before I left the surgery.
Emma also suggested a treatment for my 6 year battle with itchy ears and what appears like eczema. This treatment was prescribed by the GP and has truly transformed this chronic condition for me.
I can now wear my hearing aids all day without any irritation and that’s due to the care I received from Emma Rooms.
I am delighted that hidden hearing employ such high quality staff who Is definitely a credit to the company.

Always Great Service

Emma and Alison are very caring, understanding and knowledgeable members of staff who cannot do enough to help their customers.

I have been visiging Hidden Hearing Exeter for the past 6 years and I am very pleased with the service I hace received here.

I would not hesitate to recommend anyone suffering with any Hearing difficulties or looking for an upgrade to their existing hearing products as they can accommodate all budgets.

Sharp practice

I was only offered one product to try. This was the most expensive. It was a high quality product but without the opportunity to try less expensive options I was unable to make a judgement on VFM. The company was unable to accommodate my request to try alternative cheaper options and I consider this to be sharp practice. Subsequently lost faith and trust that my interests were being served. I wouldn’t recommend.

I visited the Exeter branch of Hidden Hearing for my annual check up. I was warmly greeted in reception to then have the most thorough and excellant service in all respects. I left feeling confident and happy. I feel very lucky to have such superb support..

I feel better for the experience.

One of my aids was not funtioning well for some time but this visit, hopefully, will resolve the problem. I felt better informed after this appointment but maybe I missed some of the detail a year ago, because of my age, when I purchased the hearing aid then.
