I really liked the carpet which had a great style. The name himalaya i remembered from sunrise radio long time ago. I had a great experience all the way through. Only given 4 stars as a refund was due to me which took more then 2 weeks to organise. I had to speak to many different people, and it inconvenienced me a bit. But i did finally recieve the refund which is great.
I think the staff need to take more responsibility and be able to transfer to accounts or handle the circumstance themselves, rather then say, someone else dealt with it, so you can only speak to same person again to sort out.

I have used Himalaya Carpets a few times now and most recently at one of my properties to re carpet the staircase.
Good choice of carpet options and prompt fitting service and competitively priced. Would recommend for budget range or top of line the range carpets.

Good service, however, they changed the date of fitting as their fitter needed the day off on the day of fitting which meant I, as the customer had to reschedule my day off to suit their day if installation.
Overall, good.

Great experience, from the welcome and advice in the shop to the actual fitting of the carpet. We were under a time constraint, so were especially pleased by the flexibility offered by Himalaya Carpets, who managed to fit us in at short notice. Overall, good value carpets and excellent customer service.

Installation way delayed by a day having specifically taken a day off for the fitting. When talking to manager about this my daughter said there was a wardrobe which needed moving and was assured that the fitters would do it - no problem he said.
Like hell they would - two men refused to do it and watched a young woman struggle do it on her own.
Do not trust a word!
Wont use them again.

Needed carpet for rental-Ordered on Sunday 23rd and fitted on the 27th. Salesman was very knowledgeable and really helpful in supplying what I needed. Great carpet for my needs. Fitters arrived on time and very efficient, even carpeted extra flooring with what was left over. Cleaned up before they left. Highly recommend and would definately use company again.

I have always gone to Himalaya Carpets as they have a good selection of choice. It is a shame that the surrounding professionals within Himalaya Carpets have led me to complain this time.
In 2022 I had some issues but still chose to go to Himalaya Carpets again in February 2025 as they had the colour I required. I was given a date of 17th February 2025 for the fitting but got a call from them as the carpet had not arrived from Europe so this was changed to 20th February.
The fitters came 2 hours late at 12.00noon. I was only relieved that they arrived to do the job as this was the precise issue I had in 2022. I was told by the person who came to measure up my home that there was going to be a joint in one of the loft rooms which I was ok with as it was only a small study room.
The fitters were the same as those in 2022. However as my lounge/living room, hallway and small porch area are concrete and tiled they had to glue the area on the 20th February in the living room and come the following day ie 21st to finish the job. Fitters came at 4.00 pm the following day and finished around 6.30 pm. However to my amazement they failed to do the front porch area as this was included in the price.
In addition to the porch issue as the fitters were packing up to leave having told me that they have finished I noticed that they left one step uncarpeted saying that because it was tiled it was not possible to carpet this step and as it had a free rightside end! I was amazed at this answer when I watched them fit my entire hallway which was tiled they carpeted that! So why not this last step! I insisted that they carpet that step as again this was included in the price. How is it possible that the fitter would leave the step uncarpeted and show their ignorance? Would any customer accept that when one has spent a substantial amount of money to have the whole home carpeted? Is this correct? Is this how Himalaya Carpets want to be portrayed with online complaints? Attached is a photo of the step in question. The fitter did not place any carpet grippers on this last step. Just some little adhesive from a nearly empty can of adhesive which he left behind as if doing me a massive favour. This step is not very secure at all and over time with treading on that step the carpet will give way and come loose and an accident waiting to happen and for a liability case to follow. What if one of my elderly two sisters or I happen to slip due to the fact that the carpet comes off with lack of proper fitting without any carpet grippers. They placed carpet grippers glued down throughout the hallway. Also if one looks at the photo of the carpet (photo attached) there is a joint that looks ugly and in your face. One cannot miss noticing it! I was told that it will disappear with time! I can say over time that joint is going fray and look even more ugly and in your face. At no point was I told that there would be a joint in the hallway. What an unprofessional fitting service and representation of Himalaya Carpets. I want Himalaya Carpets to address my complaints.

We brought a fair bit of carpets from himalaya carpet. Paid a bit extra to move bedroom furnitures around to fit carpet. They spent a whole day fitting carpets upstairs & downstairs, 2 guys job. I asked them to please shut front door every time he comes in out from van as it was a freezing cold day. I even put key in lock so he could let himself in out. I get it if they were carrying large bulky in, I shut the door after them, no problem.
The bigger guy who don’t speak English, kept coming in out without shutting door dispite me repeatedly asking him to, even if he came back with carrying just a small tool. He doesn’t speak English, so I physically showed him the key & demonstrated door shutting, still he ignored me completely. I am a 5ft small woman, I wondered if he ignores me if I was a man. The turning point was when I took my dogs out for a quick walk, came back & found the door wide open while they were both upstairs doing their things. I literally lost it then & shouted at them to SHUT THE DOOR!!!
The other guy speaks English is more respectful.
As for tidying up, I went round picking up bits & hoovering myself since it was clear they were going to put furnitures back without tidying up underneath. Did they want extra for that as well??
Cannot fault the carpet though, or the other guy who was much nicer. It a great price. Just wished they would pay bit more respect to homeowner’s home.

It was the worst experience I had for a long time. The carpet we had chosen was good but then the nightmare started with fault calls asking us to change the set date. When two cowboys did turn up they took door of the hinges and not only they left a horrible mess that they were supposed to clean which they didn’t but they just left doors outside they flat. It was just disgusting.

Awful experience with Himalaya. Whole thing started badly when they failed to turn up on our booked and paid for delivery day. In the end, we contacted them at 5 o'clock and they said they'd do it tomorrow.
They fitted our cream carpet the following day and left our house in a complete mess. The fitters left without telling us, left the front door open and left mud marks up our new carpet on the stairs. One of the fitters was wearing trainers while fitting the carpet.
I contacted the manager and he told us that their fitters can't clean up after themselves as you aren't supposed to hoover new carpets for 3 days. No apologies and no compensation.

When I visited the store, the manager and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I was advised as to my requirements and there was no pressure sale.
The carpet fitters were on time and did a professional job.
The reason I gave four out five is
1) The invoice was not itemised and was not clear as to the extras added which was £200 on the invoice. However, upon calling, they explained as to the extra charges.
2) The fitters did not hoover the carpets before leaving and they did say they will clean upon arrival. I had to clean the carpets myself.
Other than that I had no issues and the prices are very reasonable.
I cannot complain and definitely use the company again.
