Great service and a quick appointment

Got a booking for the next day. Fitting was quick and efficient and there is a place to wait and you can get a coffee. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would happily use this place again.

Used Chelmsford branch after forgetting my MOT was about to run out. Extremely efficient and helpful. From booking appointment and car failing, to repairs being done took less than 5 hours.

I booked my car in online with HiQ Chelmsford, didn't receive a call to give me a time, so I called them. Took my car to be MOT'd on the 06/10/23, received a call a little while later to say it had failed. I was aware that the track rod needed replacing, HiQ also stated a cut tyre which had gone down to the cords and the emissions. I was little sceptical about the emissions, I managed to book it in with a recommended garage, paid for the repair and another MOT they reported absolutely nothing wrong with the emissions and the tyre did have a cut but not down to the cords. I would advise potential customers who have older cars not to go to HIQ Chelmsford or if you are female. I'm not sure if they were trying to get me to buy a new tyre from them, but that was not going to happen. The staff weren't overly welcoming, they looked like they couldn't be bothered, or the pair of them really didn't want to be there. I did ask if they repaired potential emission issues, the response was "No, we don't touch emissions, we don't get there with emission problems". Really not heIpful, I wish I had never gone there. Stressed me out completely worrying about the potential emission problem, and there was nothing wrong!!!! I will never go there again or recommend Hi Q.

I genuinely and honestly can’t fault the management and guys that work here.. the service and workmanship far out does any of their local competitors. I’ve used them many times for my company vehicle, as well as my daughters car. If they’re not too busy they will accommodate at short notice and carry out the work within the estimated time given. Prices are also very competitive which is always useful. Highly recommend!

Ordered 2 new tyres + a tracking check from Chelmsford HiQ
Upon arrival they advised it would take 30-40 minutes
1 and a half hours later they are done and said it took longer as the wheel nuts were a little damaged and they can't put my alloy protectors back on.
Tracking is out but they can't do it today, too busy for that.
When I asked if this was normal as in the past I have always got my tracking done on the day I was advised depends how busy they are!
Asked if there was anything they could do to make this situation better such as a discount and was told absolutely not.
AVOID this place, I will be from now on

Normally just turn up at a tyre garage and hope they have what I need, generally end up waiting ages.Ordered tyres and booked fitting on line. Dropped car off in morning and collected about hour and half later, no fuss. Will use this method again.

Had a puncture last evening; took the wheel off (fitted the space-saver spare) & took it to HiQ Chelmsford this morning. I came back about 40 mins later & they were just finishing; they then offered to refit it, check / adjust all the pressures & reset the tpms, which they duly did! Great service from MAH(?) & Adrian (the fitter). I will definitely be back for more jobs!
UPDATE: It gets even better! Went back today (2 days later) because there was a malfunction warning light on despite tpms being reset (a Vauxhall/Opel software configuration problem, not HiQ's fault at all).
They immediately connected their diagnostic computer, identified the error code (probably "vehicle speed sensor malfunction") & cleared it. They did not charge for this, even though it was not directly their fault; I will never use any other tyre etc. service centre again!!
Well they have just saved my life again! My wife had an irrepairable puncture on a front tyre of her Citroen C1 on Monday (06/11/23); HiQ Chelmsford sourced a new tyre (a bit of an odd size) of the make I required & fitted it all within a shorter timescale than they promised! Great service yet again! They have my custom for life!
Another excellent experience! They have just fitted another new tyre for my wife's C1 When I arrived (having arranged to leave the wheel & come back later), Matthew (the Branch Manager) said: "take a seat, we'll do it right away"- they did, in 15m. & even put it back in the boot of my car! Excellent service yet again!

I need a tyre urgently and they had availability the next day. I booked it on line, and turned up af agreed time and tyre fitted almost immediately.

Quick friendly service very helpful Knowledgeable and honest.

Easy to organise via internet for replacement of two rear tyres.
No quibbles when I asked for new rear tyres to be switched to the front.
Price was reasonable for two premium tyres. Prompt service and all done whilst I waited in their comfy waiting room.
