Hoburne Devon Bay
Really enjoyed our stay again. Caravan clean and so is the main campus, staff were nice aswell as the location 15 minute walk away from the beach
Good but just do better…..
We are regular visitors to this site at Hoburne Cotswolds and never had a problem.
Sadly on this visit we did!
Gym, dining areas etc are not as clean or tidy. The table were not cleaned, the gym needs a deep clean no towel to clean any equipment despite me reporting twice.
Sink broken in Lodge this was dealt with quickly but unfortunately sink needs to be replaced so had to use utility sink to wash up
Left behind a swim suit within half hour of leaving I called up and have since been either ignored or fobbed off. I asked for housekeeping to remove item from washing machine and I would collect. This was Monday 13th October 2025 at 9.48 am 12 minutes before checkout ended yet I can not seem to find out where this item is???

Hoburne Cotswolds you were great but these things add up and let you down!
Weekend emergency cover is non-existent
Nice location, this review is based on our genuine experience to Hobure Naish Holiday Park in Barton on Sea. The management is terrible, if you are visiting over a weekend and there are issues like boiler failure, don't expect any help from the management as they disappear & leave no one to help, there is no emergency cover.
The boiler in the caravan stopped working, so we had no heating for 2 days & it was cold & freezing, and we could not take a hot shower for 2 days (sunday & Monday). There was an electric heater and that failed to operate. We called a left a message at the reception on Sunday morning to fix the boiler, but by 7:30pm, the boiler was not fixed, and there was no one at the reception or contact at the reception for any emergency. They left a message to contact the bar manager, who obviously had no idea and was not able to help, apart from trying to offer us a hot drink. There are a large number of caravans on site, so I can't understand how management are able to ignore such issues. The staff at the reception offered us this morning a 10% on our next booking. Fat chance, I will not entertain being left without emergency cover. I believe there is huge amount of improvement to be done on this site Hoburne Naish holiday park at Barton on Sea, starting improvement at the top management.
Accommodation was excellent
Accommodation was excellent, staff were helpful and friendly, plenty for the grandchildren to do. A couple of things to disappoint was that if you didn’t pay for water activities then you had to leave the pool, at least 30 children had to leave the pool to accommodate 2 kids using kayaks also granddaughter saved all the tickets she won until last day only to be told that they had run out of prizes for her to purchase, she spent £40 of her own money over the week only to be told there was nothing left to spend her tickets on
Absolutely incredible customer service…
Absolutely incredible customer service from Hannah Hiscott that has gone above and beyond for my husbands booking having to be changed at the last minute, due to changes with a work situation. Did not expect to be able to change with such each two days before the original visit and to be be so empathetic to the situation, by simply changing the date over to the following week and as goodwill refunding the difference back as the new date is cheaper. Hannah you are a credit to Hoburne and we cannot thank you enough for your help, understanding and human touch. You were so warm and friendly over the phone this morning as well and prompt to reply to the email about it and amendments. Amazing, thank you again ❤️
Well done Hoburne
Accommodation 4.5
Amenities 3.5
Drinks 4
Food 3
Value 5
It cost us £200 Mon-Fri family of 4. Caravan was brand new and immaculate. One thing I’ll highlight is free WiFi in both the accommodation and the main building. We’ve had to pay for this in other sites.
Great selection of beers/wines.
Food pretty average and mostly pre packed and not fresh ingredients etc. choose wisely!
For the kids, lots of free stuff to enjoy. The swimming and softplay is excellent and the outdoor park sufficient.
Overall, we’d return for the price we paid.
Palma apartment
Stayed in a Palma apartment at Naish, New Milton Hampshire. Reasonably OK, apart from the noisy neighbours who could not care about slamming doors.
Walking around the site it is quite easy to pick up different WiFi signals but in the apartment, it is slow and often cuts out.
Did self catering as food and drink prices in the restaurant were high. £6.30 for a pint of 4.1% bitter !!

Caravan willow View 25.
Beautiful dry and warm, very clean and comfortable caravan.
Had a lovely time at the park,
Unfortunately we had NO WIFI IN THIS CARAVAN. We don't do gaming but wanted our little one to watch a Disney movie on our tablet device but the signal just dropped after 1 or 2 mins.
We were unable to any replies to work and a conference call had to be cancelled. We asked at reception they said they would resolve it. NEVER IMPROVED, actually got worse. We could not watch any evening movies or use our tablets.
In this day and age WiFi is a basic requirement.
So not use this caravan if want WiFi.
I will contact the park privately as well to request a router to be installed into this caravan.
What a disappointment
What a shame. I’ve been coming to Hoburne Naish for absolutely years, I came here as a child and I’ve bought my own children year after year. They are now 15 and 2 nine year olds. Year after year over the last 6 or 7 years it’s slowly gotten worse. To the point I think this will be our last. The holidays themselves are now so overpriced, as a family of 5 we went to Spain for a week for less. But it’s not even that, the bar, the restaurant, the shop are all massively overpriced. The worst part for us though is it’s dead, you used to be hard pushed to get a table in the club house years gone by, now it’s empty. The entertainment is awful and not invested in, the staff, in all honesty, look like they just don’t want to be there! Unhelpful, miserable which when you’ve paid £3k for a holiday…frankly I expect more. Maybe your strategy is to become 100% residential? But surely the two go hand in hand? Residents need to be able to get holiday makers in, and people simply won’t come if it remains as it is. Naish, you’ve given us some great times but this year has been the turning point. Over and out.
Visited twice this year
I've stayed at Hoburne "Park" (Christchurch) and Hoburne Cotswold this year, and enjoyed both.
At Park there's a great dog field, which is missing from Cotswold - maybe that could be a future improvement?
But the entertainment at Cotswold is great fun, and the staff are without exception helpful and friendly!
A particular shout out to Jude for a wonderful "Wind-down Wednesday" performance, and El who was just brilliant with my friend's son when he got bored - she knelt on the floor and read to him while they ate their dinner!
The location of both parks is also great, and both times our accommodation was better than expected. We will definitely be back.
Unhappy Stay
Stayed at a privately booked caravan on 28th june 24 for five days. Lovely caravan lovely clean site. When you get to Reception everything changes. We had passes but it was like trying to get into Fort Knox. God Help you if you forgot your pass. Most Receptionists were pretty unhelpful. The Manageress was downright rude. Food is expensive and quite horrid. Lots of ridiculous rules. I think the Management have forgotten we pay a high price for staying here. Have been visiting since the Seventies on a very regular basis. Owned our own at one time. Probably will not visit again.
DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY! I would not have given a star if I could have picked but it was the least I could give.
I have been an owner at Hoburne Cotswolds for about five years now but have been going to this site for 30+ years and boy what a change. Staff bullying and belittling you (managers) and pick on people who are vulnerable. Hoburne promise lots and give nothing; 10 year warranty on decking but when there is a fault you cannot get hold of anyone and when eventually when you do (took a year) they do not fight for you with the supplier company (which they hire to do the work etc).
Then there is the safety aspect; not enough lowered curbs for disabled; try to get something done and you get nowhere. All I get told is you have to pay for that or it will have to be next year as we have missed it this year and all work has been completed, thus restricting access everywhere. Wrote to head office twice; they do not do anything, just send the letter to the site, which as you have probably realised do not do anything.
Very limited CCTV. Most owners have brought this up over the years due to damage done to cars and peoples property (numerous) and now the wildlife and it is still the same; their attitude is that if they put CCTV up all over the site it makes the site look unsafe to visitors although owners are allowed to put up their own which they do and what does that say about the site if owners are being pushed into paying for their own CCTV just to try and keep them and their things safe.
My daughter was stalked by another owner and security was called but it was not documented and the man involved was not even pulled up for it let alone anything else.
Someone tried to steal my dog.
My dog has been attacked by other dogs on no less than four occasions (different dogs attacking).
Someone tried to steal one of our push-bikes- the manager just said well what do you expect it’s a Carrera.
I could go on but these are the main issues that have affected my family and myself over the last few years.
You try to sell your caravans (I’ve been trying for two years) to get out but Hoburne won’t buy them back so you are left with paying the ground rent for a Caravan/s you do not want to use as you do not feel safe, they will not promote your caravan to sell it for you as they just want to sell their caravans.
It is not a tranquil haven at all, do not get pulled into their web of deceit.
Fantastic site
Fantastic site, really well kept. All staff are very friendly and welcoming with lots of activities for the kids going on.
We love locally and spend a lot of time here, we like the bar and food is always lovely. Big TV screen to watch games in a relaxing atmosphere, bar staff are great... would highly recommend.
LUCKY
Written good reviews prior to my last experience when staying at Naish.
Booked June 2023 4 nights cost £527 for a dog friendly lodge. Booked October 2023 thought it was an upgrade lodge cost £660. It turned out amazingly to be the exact same lodge. When queried the £133 inr crease despite it being nearer end of season I was told that I was LUCKY to have booked that price in June !!!! Customer service non existent and a poor reflection of Hoburne in general. After several emails after the holiday expressing my disgust at the service levels and the price I paid I was offered a 20% discount as a so called goodwill gesture by Manageress R.Kite.
It was something I guess and I accepted this offer, however on wishing to book again with the 20% off the discount is only available apparently on the original high tariff !
Cheated again is how I feel.
Poor customer service continues and I warn others not to book at high prices, wait for the offers ,
Dont wait to be told at reception after years of continuous custom that you are LUCKY to have booked a so called discount holiday.
We have just changed our holiday Accommodation.
We have just changed our holiday accommodation. With the help of Nikki. She was absolutely Brilliant very friendly and helpful. We can't thank Hoburne enough for employing Great Friendly Staff.
Just had a lovely weekend break at…hoburne park
Just had a lovely weekend break at hoburne park Christchurch. Beautiful caravan spotlessly clean. Nice site friendly staff .

Absolutely disgusting was told they had…
Absolutely disgusting was told they had a shop when we went to shop it was in a little cabinet n fridge in the bay staff was so sad looking I go on holiday to be treat well we came home 3 days early has site is a no go for me restaurant had limited menu we asked for a sandwich to be made to take out and we was told they didn’t do that so a definite 0 stars ftom me
Staying at hoburne blue anchor Minehead…
Staying at hoburne blue anchor Minehead would not recommend caravan is fantastic but site n staff don’t care advertising they have a shop which only sells sweets milk crisps they’re all in a cupboard staff can’t even smile😡😡😡😡
Nice site poor customer service
Stayed at the site in South Cerny for three nights, the site is lovely and has plenty of facilities for adults and children. Unfortunately we was a bit disappointed as my son spent a lot of time in the arcade as children do collecting tokens and had accumulated loads of them but on the day of departure the staff refused to open the gift shop so he could trade them in so he ended up having to give them away. i just feel they could have made more of a effort to either open the shop or offer a time to come back so he could trade the tokens in, i find this poor customer service as at the end of the day its a family site so should be very much focussed on children but seemed more focussed on serving alcohol instead.
