Horrible Product. Horrible customer service

I would give this zero stars if I could.

I received a 720g for Christmas. I live in a mountain town where winters are well below freezing for the season. The instructions specifically say not to operate the drones transmitter below 32 degrees. As a result,
I wasn’t able to take the drone out until April when it was warm enough.

On the initial flight I went through the provided pre-flight checklist and made sure to check all the boxes. Everything was fully charged and the transmitter had brand new batteries. I went through the initial detection, pairing, and calibration and everything appeared to be working as expected. When ready, I pressed the one-key takeoff button and the drone lifted as expect then it took off completely on its own. I flew in a steady downward slant for about 15 ft. I tried pushing the one key landing button to bring it down safely but there was no response. The drone crashed into the ground. The camera was ripped almost completely out. It was only hanging on by a few wires.

I called the company and explained that it was a gift, why I waited so long to fly it, and I explained what happened. The CS asked me for an order number which I could not provide. I again restated that it was a gift and I didn’t have that information. I was told there was nothing they could do without it.

I reached out to my parents who bought it for me and asked if they could send me the order number. They did and I called CS back on the same day as the initial call. After providing the order number they then wanted a screenshot of the Amazon order. At this point I’m beyond upset. I’ve told them four times now that this was a gift. I was basically told they couldn’t help me. I told them I could give them a serial number or any other product information available, but they didn’t care about any of that.

This has been a horrible experience all around. Horrible product. Horrible customer service. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Fantastic Drone, best I've used

Had this drone flying as soon as the battery was charged. The app is simple to use, the drone very responsive and not too expensive for the quality of the machine. All in all, a good drone that I'd happily recommend to others and also buy again.

One word for HS720R - Dangerous

One word describes the HS720R – Dangerous

I received this drone for my birthday. My first 2 flights ended with the loss of control, or what I now know as ‘toilet bowling’. I contacted Holystone who advised me to go higher up as trees and the house in the middle of the countryside maybe causing the issue. I was then given a 90-day extended warranty. Due to working away and poor Yorkshire weather it was another 3 weeks before I could fly again.

The 1st flight went well, the 2nd the drone at 20m high began to toilet bowl up and down in circles and eventually flew into a tree causing it to fall through all the branches to the ground. It then took off again and flew 50 meters at low altitude into another tree. 7m from the ground it gained altitude and I somehow managed to gain control and return its manually to home.

I changed the battery, recalibrated it as I did for each flight and immediately flew up into the air and flew off in a straight line and circled back but nose-dived to the ground hitting a neighbour’s caravan.

I contacted HS to be told I was outside of my 30 day returns policy and that best they could do it send me a replacement, but they didn’t want the old one despite me advising them it was dangerous and needed analysing. Even with the stated 90-day warranty in an email they wouldn’t refund me. After 48 hours and several emails they refused to refund me even though I reported the issue within a week of purchase. I then contacted Amazon via phone who instantly refunded me and sent Royal Mail and DPD to pick up the drone and battery the following day. Holystone when I told them of this after collection tried to claim they refunded me as a gesture of goodwill. Absolutely horse****.

Stay away from this company. Read the poor reviews on Amazon and Trustpilot and it’s a known fault and you don’t want to be prosecuted for injuring someone because of the lack of control to the drone. Go buy a DJI Drone. Might cost more but they are much safer.

I recently had an issue with my Holy…

I recently had an issue with my Holy Stone HS720E drone and contacted their technical support team for assistance. I must say, I was extremely impressed with the level of service I received. The representative I spoke with was knowledgeable, patient, and went above and beyond to help me resolve my problem. They guided me through troubleshooting steps with clear instructions, and within a short time, my drone was back up. I highly recommend Holy Stone not only for their excellent products but also for their outstanding customer support!

MORE THAN SATISFIED

RECENTLY RECEIVED A HS720E AS A GIFT FOR MY BIRTHDAY AND I AM EXCEPTIONALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE DRONES FEATURES PERFORMANCE AND VIDEO QUALITY, HOWEVER WHAT MOST IMPRESSES ME IS HOLY STONE'S CUSTOMER SERVICE THE DRONE WAS PURCHASED WITH AN ADDED INSURANCE POLLICY AND WHEN I HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE DRONE AND CONTACTED INSURANCE I WAS TOLD INSURANCE WOULD NOT HELP ME SO I CONTACTED HOLY STONE DIRECTLY AND GAVE THEM THE SAME DETAILS OF THE INCIDENT AND THEY RESOLVED THE ISSUE WITHIN 3 DAYS AND REPLACED THE DRONE.
NO HASSLES NO BS. JUST CUSTOMER SERVICE DIRECTED TOWARDS SATISFYING ME AS A CUSTOMER. 5 STARS

Lack of after sales support service

Lack of after sales support service. I purchased a Holy Stone HS230 from Holy Stone's Ebay shop and the batteries have expanded in size and lost their nominal capacity.
I contacted Holy Stone about replacements and they do not stock parts for the HS230.
This is not acceptable and I will never purchase a product from Holy Stone again as their values for not supporting sustainability are unethical.

I just received an HS720R drone asa…

I just received an HS720R drone asa gift. Firstly, I am surprised at how much drone you get for so little money! It comes packaged in a custom made case which holds everything securely and prevents damage. A nice touch is the card on the controller which clearly identifies each control and what it does - a great idea well thought out.
Set up and use of the HS720R is really simple. After charging and awaiting a clear wind free day, it took literally two minutes to get airborne! It reacted well to the controls with absolutely no perceptible lag - another plus.
I have to say this is worth it’s money and is a great beginner drone too!

Just bought HS360S

Just bought HS360S. How is this under $200?
You cant be unhappy with this. I would like a Gimball Cam but it is in 4K and the pics are great. I can also see a drone with 4K Gimbal cam, 3KM range etc being in the $800+ range.

Terrible drones

Terrible drones . They may as well make boomerangs , more chance of them coming back . Save your money by a DJI and save yourself the hassle of thinking you are useless at flying drones , Holystone drones are absolutely rubbish , even dangerous. Rubbish camera . Rubbish flight time , rubbish connection . Don't bother , I was given HS 720G by Holystone because I sent the other one back ,it was rubbish . Can't even sell it because it's not safe enough to fly .

You may want to avoid Holy Stone

I received a Holy Stone HS720 drone as a gift. I read the manual and was careful on the first flight. It drifted slightly, hit a railing and fell about 12 feet on to a lawn. Now it flips over every time on take off and won’t fly. I tried to recalibrate the gyro, but still flips over. I reached out to customer service and they are clueless. They keep asking ridiculous questions like “send us photos of damaged parts.” There are no external damaged parts. It just flips over on take off.

MY OPINION: stay away from Holy Stone. Poor quality and poor customer service..

Wonderfull time with my granddaughter setting up and using

Delivered next day which was a Sunday. After charging the batteries which did not take that long my Grandaughter got started on the set up with a little help. After a short time we figured things out took ourselves out to an open area near the beach. A bit windy which was a bit of a concern to me at least, but no once all calibrated etc the drone worked wonderfully. we did not use the the phone or camera for a first outing and it did not disappoint in the slightest. A few more practice sessions and am sure it will be a great success using the camera. Very pleased.

Perfect product and service in my case.

This seems to be a company that divides the opinions. I bought a drone, my first "real" drone with GPS, return home, follow me, camera on a proper gimbal, etc... on Amazon from HS. The reviews were good so that was my choice. The drone worked perfectly right out of the box but I couldn't get my phone to connect. Contacted them on WhatsApp and got response within seconds. First suggestions were of the type to exclude obvious stuff but when that didn't work they gave me a more detailed reinstall procedure which I followed and all was working fine. And literally responses within seconds, maximum a few minutes. So, I am happy, drone works , customer service was friendly and effective, so in my case I can't ask for more. Especially as the drones are really competitively priced. In conclusion: for me it is 5 stars.

Factory sealed $200 drone never flown due to bad battery that HS will not replace.

I pur hated a $200 Merkury 3 Racing drone from a third party that was factory sealed. 3 weeks later when my son and I went to fly the battery would not charge. I co tasted HS and was instructed to return it to the seller. I called seller and there warranty period was over. I contacted HS again and the receptionist says there is nothing they will do about it. I have a $200 dmfactory sealed drone with a factory sealed battery that I can't fly because HolyStone will not make it right by replacing a battery they probably pay no more than $3 for. Terrible. I do not recommend buying anything from them if this is how they take care of people who buy and use there products. Terrible business ethics.

To many decent brands out there to…

To many decent brands out there to waste your time with this crappy drone. Would always take forever to connect. Then the batteries went to crap after 3 months and could not order cuz they were back ordered. Finally got batteries after 6 months and now it will not connect at all. Buy different brand

Works well

I initially caused it to tilt causing propeller damage so it would not go up but rather tipped over. When I put new props on it flew great. Still learning how to use it but seems easy to use.

One of the worst investments on a drone…

One of the worst investments on a drone with holy stone the HS700D 4k drone they don’t make them anymore so you can’t even find a data cable for the camera on the drone. I contacted customer service one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had they don’t have not one again NOT ONE DATA SHORT DATA CABLE!! They practically threw me to the wolves I swear I was on 🔥🔥 never once did they offer anything to me. Tried eBay tried everything they said that’s compatible and I bought one from Amazon. I hooked it up Calibrated it and had it on a flat surface like my other drones it took off and I swear to God it whacked out and crashed into my neighbor garage and still propellers we’re on tearing up his bush and I’ve had drones,helicopters,fighter jets,r/c cars & trucks gas and electric they wouldn’t do anything for me the chats and emails awful to even waste time i told them i have my house surveillance system that shows what happened and they refused to even look at it and all they did was make excuses saying it’s my fault when i can Show anyone how i can fly but I don’t need to explain myself especially after that!! RUKO AND DJI DRONES THE BEST YOU WILL EVER GET THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE EXCEPTIONAL WOW U WONT BELIEVE HOW MUCH THEY CARE ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE AND WONT HASSLE YOU IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG.
