BEWARE: Wrong Item Sent, No Help, Forced to Pay Costly Return Shipping

I placed Order #831313896-831313896 on 12/27/2024 for a size 45 small cage ($182). Instead, I received a size 55 standard cage—completely wrong and unusable. Despite providing proof, Holytrainer refused to send the correct item or issue a refund unless I paid return shipping to Switzerland (from Los Angeles), which cost more than the order itself!
Issues:False advertising: Promised 2-4 day UPS delivery (never arrived on time). No accountability: Ignored emails for 6 months until I threatened legal action. Scam-like return policy: Forced me to cover their mistake with expensive international shipping.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. They take zero responsibility for errors and exploit customers. PayPal had to step in to refund me. Save your money—buy elsewhere.

Avoid this merchant, awful service.

Absolutely does not care out it’s customers. Very disappointed as they do not reply to emails. Site is not well maintained. No option to create account to track your orders. I sent three emails follow up emails with no response. You send a new custom order and they reply within two days. Save your money, go with other brands. For the amount of money they charge, there’s no reason not to reply to loyal customers. Second time I’m purchasing from them and it’s not a one off scenario. Go with other brands, they simply don’t care.

Twice the Price, Twice the Failure

I purchased a v5 from HolyTrainer for $165 (before customs) in February 2023. Within just six months, the lock mechanism failed, and after reaching out to customer service, they kindly replaced the faulty ring. Unfortunately, less than a year later, the same issue occurred again—this time with the replacement.

While customer service was polite, they informed me they could no longer cover the product under warranty (even though it's clearly a recurring design flaw) and generously offered me a 20% discount on my next purchase. Given the repeated failure of the product, I can’t imagine why I'd want to invest more money into something that has already proven to be unreliable, twice.

Bottom line: Poor product quality and disappointing warranty support.

2026 Update:
They now apparently released a v6 version with removable/replaceable locks. The lock was/is so good that they made it replaceable. Everything is the same besides the lock and they call it a "new version".

updated after company response (10 days or so to respond)

Update: they contacted me and sent replacements after about 10 days. Not sure if it is my multiple emails or my bad reviews that led to a response but increasing to 3 stars as they did respond and send replacements.

Previous (1 star review below):
This company is a scam, they will sell you ebay knockoffs of their own product at 5x the price as soon as the knockoff are available.
Not sure if it’s their US distributor only or they do the same in Switzerland.
Just received damaged and lower quality products (I have the same product bought before ebay knockoffs became available for the v5, definitely not the same resin and different lock as well), the ring even looks used, they won’t even respond to the emails sent.

DON'T. BUY. THIS. REALLY

Unfortunately I didn't read all these comments BEFORE being caught into this trap. Original, the Swiss company responsible for Holy Trainer, is definitely a scammer organisation dedicated to grab all the money they can, offering a poor product in exchange. They never warn you clearly that you have to pay import taxes when buying this product anywhere outside Switzerland. Plus, they charge you MUCH MONEY to get it back. Unpredicted taxes, shipping taxes, refund taxes. Dishonest scum, nothing less than that.

The product itself is NOTHING different from any imitation (which means, as bad as any generic version).

I wish I had known all this before. I really do. However, if I can help anyone who's thinking of giving their money to those horrible people by describing my awful experience, I feel a little less miserable.

Miserable customer service

Miserable customer service. Do not buy anything from them !!!
Once they have their money, you can forget about help if problems arise. You also do not receive order confirmations or invoices from them.

Avoid, buy elsewhere

Avoid, buy elsewhere.
You will be charge VAT on to of the purchance price. This is not mentioned at all during the check out process and is not clearly stated at any point on thjeir site, I presum it is buried somewhere deep in their T&C's.
The VAT added an additional £60 to my order, which i had already paid £120 for the item and £15 for shipping.
I will not write a full review here, but the device turned out to not be worth the inicial £120, let alone the additional costs.
Buy elsewhere, there are plenty of other better options
