We love our new home

We love our new home, but I do feel that the customer service team need to improve on their communication, if they were quicker at coming back to customers then we would be left feeling more satisfied whilst we are waiting for defects to be corrected. Do I regret purchasing my new home? no, the houses themselves are amazing and my family and I are going to be very happy here.

Settled!

We recently bought our house from Homes by Harlequin, and overall we are really happy with it. The build quality feels solid and the layout works great for us.

At first, we did have some issues with communication and responsiveness but have noticed a real improvement lately.

All in all, would recommend.

Our review of Homes By Harlequin

After reading all of the negative reviews, we were really hesitant to purchase with Homes by Harlequin. Now we have been living in our beautiful new home for 5 months, we are so glad we took the plunge. The location is great, the house itself is so spacious with bedrooms and en-suites far more generous than any other typical new build (and the same applies for the sizeable garden!). There are a few minor defects that are outstanding and it’s a very tricky to get hold of customer service for updates - for that I will score them a 3. We certainly don’t regret our purchase as this is our our dream home

Poor And will score below ZERO…

Poor And will score below ZERO aftercare service, Not sure how to describe this anymore. Brand new home with a long long list of major issues and defects ... I can't even list them here !!!!! Far Too many issues, I would really advise to stay away and no one to suffer and live with this hassle. It is disgusting by all standards !!!

Still having problems after 2 years

Can we add Bankside Place in Maresfield (TN22 2DX) to Sanj's list.
The first residents moved in more than 2 years ago and we still have a big list of issues and - true to form - we are currently being ignored.
Makes a mockery of their website statement "We promise to give you the very best experience when buying from Homes by Harlequin.".
Is there a Facebook or other social media forum where unhappy residents can chat?

The fence has been tilting with…

The fence has been tilting with imminent risk of collapse for 3 months. The water leakage (from bathroom down all the way to dinning room )has been there for 1 week. Load of snagging issues unattended for 9 months.

Negative Review of Homes by Harlequin

Sadly even 1 star is to high .
I can backup and relate to all the previous comments relating to issues faced by Homes by Harlequin.

It is clear that the home development company Homes by Harlequin excels in providing a very poor customer experience and deliveres substandard workmanship on their new home developments. This review highlights several major issues, including:
Inadequate drainage, loose fencing, and general poor quality workmanship in the new homes
Mold behind skirting boards and incorrectly installed appliances
Lack of responsiveness and non-existent customer service from the company
Strongly urge anyone considering purchasing a new home from Homes by Harlequin to reconsider, as the company operates in a rogue, shambolic and cowboy manner that does not seem to care about the quality of their work or customer satisfaction. on the homes they develope.

Considering thier 100% track record thus far (as can be seen by the previous reviews) it would be wise to avoid these developments.

Overall, the purpose of this very negative picture of Homes by Harlequin is to aid anyone considering to purchase a new home from Homes by Harlequin avoid and face the issues I currently have and am.

Shockingly bad

Sadly, I’m not sure ‘zero’ is an option.

Already been slated for ‘Customer Service’ and their claimed ‘After Care’, no need to add to that.

The company approach of simply ignoring customers with genuine issues and concerns in the vain hope we will just go away; is the standard. Whole site of seven properties has similar issues.

This ethic is company wide.

Shocking business, please steer clear and think twice before purchasing from them.

Note: dated 1.1.24 - however, we took the keys in November 2022, and the situation has been like this since day one!

Appalling aftercare service nothing…

Appalling aftercare service nothing like their website promises. Brand new home with a heating system that has needed multiple interventions, attic full of mould, garden that floods, a staircase that was put in off centre and so has to be completely replaced. Too many issues to list - really would advise no one to buy from this developer
