We were given keys to another flat without explanation.

Only on arrival did we feel like, we did not book this through booking.com.
We reported this but homing refers to booking.com
Then the flat turned out to have many flaws and defects and was not clean. After contacting booking.com, we were only refunded 15% of the total amount. Even for 100 Euro we would not have booked the flat. Even after we reported this to booking.com, they do not accommodate the customer. This was probably also the last booking through booking.com. Had expected something more from such an organisation. :(

Avoid This Dishonest Agency

I wished I've read and reseach about this agency before booking my reservation! I strongly advise against this agency. They engage in dishonest practices by scamming people and refusing to return security deposits by lying that they will refund it to you 2-3 days after checking out. Personally, I have been waiting for over a month for the refund of my deposit and have still received nothing.

The worst part is that they avoid all contact by not answering calls or emails. They seem intentionally unavailable, acting as if they are invisible, all while pocketing 250 euros without justification.

Do not get caught like I did. It appears they wait for clients to leave their country to evade their responsibilities. This behavior is unacceptable and deplorable.

Avoid this agency at all costs to prevent finding yourself in a similar situation.

DO NOT RENT A PROPERTY FROM HOMING

Travelled from Ireland to Portugal to stay in villa we rented for two weeks … property was cancelled on me when I landed in Faro airport .. I travelled to the house as we had no where else to go. It wasn’t what was advertised and it was full of boxes, not ready for rental. Myself, my wife, two young kids and my 81 year old mother were left with nowhere to stay .. nobody met us to explain and when questioned on the phone they hung up and wouldn’t answer the phone there after ..
Very stressful start to our holiday. THIS COMPANY IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED!!

Do not stay in any accomodation owned by this company

They're holding over €600 belonging to me, and everytime I call I'm told the reservations team has to sort this but they're not available.
I was charged a €250 security deposit at check in that was taken as a charge NOT a pre-authorisation as they claim.
I've been chasing for that to be refunded, and keep being promised it will be and I will be sent proof, but that still has not happened.
Today they charged my card €334 (the balance for my stay) which I already paid on April 19th

At this point the business are holding €584 of my money that they have NO right to have.

Do not stay here, or in any of the houses owned by this business. It is not worth the hassle

All the negative reviews are 100% correct. We lost our money which is 6 nights and paid for a hell hole. We stayed 10 minutes and left for a hotel. The apartment was falsely advertised, the TV did not work, the internet was poor, three flights of stairs and no lift ( if we knew this why book the dump). I could say more. Sadly the Homing company could not give care less. A take the money cash in approach and screw the customer. The dump we were conned in booking was Largo do Rato 7 A/B 1250-186 Lisboa. It even has a sex shop on the ground floor fortunately we had no children with us. Shameful there is no justice for us who work hard to take a holiday.

AWARE OF THIS AGENCY

Check in on the 5th. No lights in the apartment send electrician they said I had 3 heathers on and was my fault. Come back and no power again it’s hot in Portugal why should I have heating on???
This is only 1 issue

Them heavy rain came and the apartment was flooded and the agency didn’t care.
No money was given the agency say they don’t do refund and my booking was for 12 nights I was forced to pay another room this is ridiculous they take your money they take extra £250 deposit as security that I loosing aswell. My holidays was ruined

Unbelievable

Unbelievable. Rented an apartment in Madeira for 6 nights. Appartement is simple but ok. Did not sleep for a night because of super old matras that is sagging. Next to that the sheets smelled sour plus the appartement is dirty (dust everywhere). But ok I am not a person that likes to complain. But the matras was that bad that i wake up totally broken with pain in the back so I asked to do something about the matras. Letterly zero cooperation from the company. So then I asked for refund do I can rent another place. Also not possible… so basically I needed to sleep on a matras that is probably found on a garbage area totally sagged. In the end I booked a new place. Discussion with this maffia/scam company still going on. Unbelievable from my point of view…

No recommendation for homing.com.pt. Accommodation features where not as described, e.g. hairdryer not working, toaster not available, no towels service, .. All of it could have been tolerable and manageable but no reply from the agency about my items. Bad behaviour. And 4 weeks after my departure still no refund of my deposit 👎

BEWARE

BEWARE! I booked 4 weeks ago via Expedia. The room advert said 50% to be paid for reservation. But, after I booked - Homing took 100% of the booking fee from my bank account. Because I found a better rental elsewhere, I then decided to cancel my booking. I was told 100% of my money would be returned within 7/10 days with no fee. But, 4 weeks later and after chasing many times I still didn't get my money back. I had to travel to the office in Lisbon to complain face to face. They told me they were only allowed to process so many refunds per day. So,
it's very clear to me - that my money was being used to pay for their business overheads instead of them asking the for an overdraft facility / loan from the bank. This was why I had to wait 4 weeks to get my own money back! Unfortunately, I will never use Expedia or Homing again!

Never deal with Homing.
First, they will show you beautiful pictures but when you will see the property you'll be shocked! Dirty kitchen and bathroom, broken floor, broken furniture, and walls with mold!
Then they will lie you that they have parking but they don't! They will tell you to park elsewhere and promise to refund you parking fees, but they lie again! It's a scam. They owe me parking fees for 2 month and never give them back. I needed to go to police to resolve this case and still didn't get my money back. Shame on you Homing!ting experience ever!

The company did not supply towels and bed linen on a weekly as per the contract . They had to be constantly reminded . The service was terrible I would not recommend them to anyone. I am surprised any owners put their properties in their hands .

These people are crooks

These people are crooks . They do not respond when you have a question. Even after I canceled my reservation after not being able to get a response they still took my money a one and half months later. They knew full well I had canceled as I sent my cancellation and reason to everyone of their emails and WhatsApp .

Short term apartment with big water leak!!!

I had a major problem with a rented apartment in Lisbon with Homing through Home to go.
My 82 years old mother and her 86 years old sister went together to Lisbon to celebrate their birthday.
The apartment had a major water leak on the living room and bathroom. They asked to change apartment and they said they didn't have another one (!!). So, with no option, they decided to stay and receive a half refund.
Now, when they still had one more week Homing rented the apartment above! Which made the water leak much worse! Impossible to stay any longer!
So, I had to move them to a hotel! No respect at all!
