Stay clear of Holdcroft Honda car dealership in Cheshire Oaks and Honda!

Stay clear of Holdcroft Honda car dealership in Cheshire Oaks and Honda!
I bought a nearly new 2018 Honda Civic from them that I thought was a reliable manufacture from a reputable dealership, was I badly wrong. They have had my car for 5 months so far and are still yet to diagnose the issues. I’ve had 2 air conditioning units replaced, multiple engine sensors, £2000 ECU, Turbo issues from £1000 to £3000, wiring loom, etc. and they still haven’t found the problem. They are incompetent with abysmal customer services that really do not care that they are selling poor quality cars and would have me drive a dangerous none legal car. They are charging £2400 for poor diagnostics and incompetent in resolving the issues, there are far from experts! There is absolutely no customer support, Please, please, please think twice before using this unprofessional outfit! Honda UK do not care about customer service and selling poor quality cars!

Honda Reading car service

I took my Honda Jazz for service at Honda Reading. I was told the service will take one hour to one and three quarters of an hour. I waited in customer’s lounge and after two hours went to the reception to ask and was told it’s not ready. I noticed later on that my car was parked outside ready to be collected. I had to check again and after three hours I got the paper work done. The staff usually approach the customer when his/her car is finished but they deliberately ignored me and kept my keys until I had to ask for them many times. I think they are immature, rude and unprofessional.

Hondas Rusting

Purchased my 2020 HRV in 2022 from a Honda dealer and in 2023 noticed some surface rust at the top of the door near the wing mirrors on both doors. This was caused by the door rubbing on the frame seals and also some pretty thin paint. I imagined the repair would be covered by Honda’s 3-year paintwork corrosion warranty but it seems my car missed an annual corrosion check and Honda UK turned down the claim. Additionally, when viewing the front crossmember through the radiator grill I see corrosion starting on welded joints. I will be pursuing this further, as Honda are clearly not producing vehicles that are fit for the market and weather in the UK.

I doubt the integrity of a big car brand like this

I bought a car online and received it with multiple dents and scratches inside out. These dents and scratches were not taped in the video sent to me by salesperson during the sales process in the first place. Salesperson now declared every used car will have some sort of damages. But the problem is, I was not told of these damages before I purchased the car. Where is the integrity nowadays?

Honda motorcycle UK.

Honda motorcycle UK.
Always been a Honda customer until I bought a brand new Africa twin in 2021. Now The bike is sitting in my garage waiting for Honda to fix it. It is the last time I buy a Honda motorcycle.Very disappointed by a very poor customer service, they treated me as a stupid person. That is the end of my love affair with Honda. I should have bought a BMW.

Johnson's Honda avoid / maybe avoid Honda full stop

So, enough is enough. This is the first time I've ever bought a car from a franchised dealer, and here's what I've learned:

* Cars are not serviced. They'll call you up five months later to milk you for more money!
* When I mentioned the issues with the car, they couldn't find some of them. But if I wanted them to track them down, surprise surprise, it would cost more money!
* They did agree to replace the broken glove box damper. I say "agreed," but it still hasn't been done. They agreed to do it on March 21st. Funny how they can remember to send me air conditioning service offers that cost me money!

I can only blame myself for not doing more research before I bought the car. I had very little feedback. I still haven't been given any warranty information, and I've had the car for just under 11 months!

I don't know who's fault it is, Honda or Johnson's. Would I buy a car from Johnson's again? No, I'd rather take the bus! But it also says a lot about Honda and how little they monitor their dealership networks.

Update it took 114 days and me to chase to get a repair to be carried out

Poor aftersales

Perfect car... very poor aftersales...
Used Brindley Honda West Brom for the past 2 years. Last year was poor, but they used the Covid excuse. This year still poor with respect to minimal customer service. Informed them of concerns but no response. Informed Honda direct, received a standard email, to which I replied, to once again recieve the same standard email!

Just bought another car from Bradley’s Honda Ruislip

Just bought another car from Honda Bradley’s (Hr-v 1.5) and collected it on 15/6/23. The service we received from Vish and Rab was excellent. They went through all the paperwork with great efficiency and explained to us all through the process. I have bought several cars from Bradley’s Honda Ruislip and the standard of customer care is excellent. Would recommend anyone who is interested in purchasing a Honda Car to speak to Bradley’s Honda Ruislip.

Macclesfield Honda. Thanks!

Had a very positive experience at the Macclesfield Honda branch. Took my car to the garage without an appointment after it developed a rattle on the way home from work. Charlotte and Alison along with a mechanic in the service area were extremely polite and helpful. Thanks!

I bought a new Honda cb750 hornet…

I bought a new Honda cb750 hornet motorcycle this week and whilst out in the wet the bike and myself was absolutely covered in mud and grit from the road, there is a very short mudguard on the front and nothing at all on the back, I contacted Honda UKs helpline and was told its dangerous to ride in the wet so I shouldn't be out on it in the rain and if I didn't like it I could go back to the dealer for a refund.

DIRTY TRICKS ON HANDLING LAWN MOWER WARRANTY CLAIMS

I was hitherto a massive Honda fan, having had at least a dozen Honda cars and at least 6 Honda Izy lawn mowers for my garden business. My faith in the Company has been shattered by their treatment of my first ever claim under the warranty for my latest mower purchase.

I purchased a Honda Izy HRG 416 PK from Just Honda (who are not part of Honda Group) online on 15/11/2022. The mower was received promptly and as it was Winter I left it in its box in my garage until 21/02/2023. At this point I unpacked the machine, added the engine oil and on seeing the fuel tank was empty I added unleaded petrol. Despite many attempts, the machine would not start. I had registered the purchase so was covered by the warranty, or so I thought!

When I contacted Customer Support I was informed the Warranty would not cover me if I have left fuel in the machine over the Winter. I pointed out that I had not even taken the machine out of its box until the 21 Feb and that no fuel was put in the machine until that day.

They replied that the mower will have had fuel in prior to dispatch and I should have drained it on delivery. Remember, there was no fuel in the tank when I took the mower out of the box!!!

I assumed I had missed an instruction warning me that I needed to do something as soon as the parcel arrived. Fortunately I still had all the packaging and all the literature that came with the mower so I inspected it to see if I had missed an instruction. There was no warning on the box and the paperwork consisted of a registration card, a UK Declaration of Conformity, a card saying there is no oil in the engine, an Owners Manual and a carbon copy of the Pre-delivery inspection sheet.

The only document that mentioned draining the fuel was the carbon copy of the Pre-delivery inspection sheet. However, every box on this form had been ticked, suggesting all necessary actions had been performed prior to delivery. This is what I would have expected as I would imagine it is forbidden to delivery a machine with petrol in it!

I emailed a copy of this form to Customer Services and when I saw their reply offered an apology I assumed they agreed with me. However, their nonsensical (to me) full reply read as follows:-

"We understand the frustrations and can only apologise for the inconvenience. With regards to the sheet, you will see that the old fuel has been drained which is from the factory and we then replace the fuel with unleaded petrol, which we do drain off as best as possible for transport but there is still going to be remnants in the tank and in the carb we do not continue to test the machine after it has been drained."

This seemed absolutely ludicrous to me. How could I be expected to know there might be remnants of fuel in the carb and how was I supposed to drain it? Especially if there was nothing in the paperwork to say this!

I took the mower to my local authorised Honda dealer. They agreed with me and said they would argue my case with Honda. However, they warned me that Honda will try any way to get out of paying under a warranty. Sure enough, Honda refused to honour the warranty and I have had to pay £27 for the repair!

When I went to pick the mower up on 16/03/23 I spoke to the actual mechanic. I told him the full story as above and he agreed that I should put in a complaint. He said “they are treating you as though you are a mechanic and not a customer”. He added that if I had made any attempt to touch the carb I would have immediately invalidated the warranty.

I then made a complaint to Just Honda, in the mistaken belief they were part of the Honda Group. They have informed me that my experience is quite typical. They frequently have genuine claims turned down by Honda on technicalities, which quite rightly upsets customers, who in turn, blame Just Honda rather then Honda itself. Just Honda have agreed to take my complaint up with Honda but they cannot give me any great hope of success.

I certainly won't be buying another Honda lawn mower and if I was in the market for a new car with warranty I'm not sure I would trust Honda.

BUYER BEWARE!

Very disappointing service…

We booked car into Reading for a battery issue. It transpired that it was a known fault and should have been recalled. In fact it left us stranded after a holiday. Shocked to find we had to pay for a "courtesy" car - to cover cleaning but the car had spilt crisps in the back and a previous user's deodorant. Very disappointed.

I had my car serviced today

I had my car serviced today. There had been a mix up and I hadn’t realised for the past 4 years I had paid for all my services when in fact I was on a service plan.
I was upset as to think I had been paying all of this time.
I was looked after by Jenny at Honda Cheshire Oaks who investigated for me and ensured that I was refunded - I am so grateful.
Jenny was very personable yet professional, efficient, friendly and an asset to the company in my opinion.
Thanks Jenny, you were a star!
