Established in 1992, Hopes Grove Nurseries are hedging plants specialists with a 125 acre nursery and over 1 million home grown plants situated in the Weald of Kent. Our skilled nursery staff have over 200 years of growing experience between them so our plants are given the best possible start.
We only sell our hedging plants to the end user (not to Garden Centres or other nurseries) so you can be assured of direct from the nursery pricing that you will find very hard to beat. We deliver nationwide with plants coming directly from their growing beds to guarantee they are fresh and top quality.

In a nutshell, it’s a way of proving that we will always do the right thing in preventing the spread of harmful plant pests and diseases. The Plant Healthy Management Standard is a voluntary initiative that sets out requirements for implementing effective plant biosecurity systems that can be adopted by horticultural businesses. Good Quality Plants and Great Service.
We purchased 110 potted hedging plants (Hypericum Hidcote), the ordering process was simple and the plants were delivered a few days later. The plants had been carefully packed, all arrived in perfect condition and the quality of the plants was excellent. They have been in the ground a week now and all are thriving.

Hedging plants
Ordered 37 hedging plants to replace my box hedging that was destroyed by box caterpillars. Plants came and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the plants. Would recommend this company for any plants you may need.

I ordered Hornbeam bare-root hedging
I ordered Hornbeam bare-root hedging, which was delivered in November. The quality was disappointing, but I planted the hedge and hoped it would establish. By mid-April, growth was extremely poor, so I contacted Hopes Grove Nurseries. Over the following days I spoke with, emailed, and sent photographs to three different members of staff regarding the issue.
A replacement was eventually agreed, although I was required to pay postage and packing. Unfortunately, the replacement plants also failed, along with further sections of the original hedge. I returned the dead plants and emailed the company, but I have not received any acknowledgement or response.
I have been a customer for 12 years and have generally overlooked occasional quality issues in the past. However, I have experienced significantly more plant failures in recent years, and this latest experience has left me with no confidence in either the quality of the plants or the level of customer service provided.

Cotton Lavender become very special but might need a little nurture
Loved getting the plants and I have bought in the sale before but still quite a price for a tiny plant. A lot really were suffering but I hope with planting on they will recover. Ones I bought before a year ago are really thriving but this time bought later in the season. Will see how they do. Packaging good but just looked a little tired after their journey!
