Good local independent vet
I've used this vet for six or seven years now, I've always found them to be competent and compassionate. You can tell that they care about animals.
Their prices can be expensive as with any vet, but they are reasonable and not "money grabbing" in how they apply charges or recommend tests/treatments.
Recently we took a poorly cat who they have looked after well, and over the years have had several other experiences with them. Always positive.
In an emergency they will fit you in if they can, and won't charge the earth (unlike a local commercial operation that wanted £600 just for a consult on a Friday evening).
Only criticism is their booking software/computer runs slowly and can make booking appointments a bit painful. Not worth taking a star off though, as overall they're a great vetinary practice in my experience.
