Good to buy when there's an offer on
We'd been after a hotbin of some description for a while and finally decided to go with the mid-sized hotbin when a deal became available.
The purchasing was straightforward, delivery in a reasonable timeframe and despite not being heavy, assisted into the house by the courier .. thank you.
When checked over, everything was there, and the instructions seem ok. We've not set it up yet, a bit busy this time of year, but I have no doubt everything will work as it should. My only concern, and I should have realised this when purchasing, is that the hotbin is of polystyrene construction. Fingers crossed it doesn't deteriorate or get damaged.

Totally understand your hesitation about the polystyrene construction. But don't worry HOTBIN is made from tough, insulated expanded polypropylene (EPP), chosen specifically because it’s durable and built to live outdoors year-round while keeping the heat in for hot composting. With normal use it the bin doesn't deteriorate, just don't get too close with thee garden strimmer ;-)

If you haven’t already done so we’d advise taking the internal temperature of the HOTBIN as there can be up to a 20-degree difference between the lid and internal thermometer and you may find the HOTBIN is hotter that you think.

The HOTBIN can take time to achieve hot composting temperatures and does need to be a least half full to give the bacteria and food source and get them active and producing heat.
However, if the internal temperature is below 40°c the waste will still be breaking down quicker in a warmer environment than traditional composting methods.

Amazing product
I already own a hotbin and have bought one for my daughter. Absolutely amazing product, makes wonderful compost quickly, rat proof and tucks away in the corner of a garden. I highly recommend this product.

Great service - however DPD was not as efficient as hoped!! They claimed they had tried to deliver twice, when in fact we were home both times, we contacted your company highlighting this, and due to the operator’s efficiency this was resolved very quickly and smoothly.

Cap for hot bin liquid outlet
Delivery was reasonably quick and the product was what I needed but it was impossible to separate the cap and the adapter without tools and considerable force.

Disappointed
Delivery & Bin excellent but I am finding it very hard to get bin to correct temperature tried hot water bottle a few times to no good result disappointed with results but will keep trying

It can take some time for the heat to be generated in the HOTBIN and it needs to be at least half full to accomplish this. That said the HOTBIN will still be breaking down the waste at temperatures below 40°C.
