The worst experience ever
The worst experience ever. Booked a hotel for 4 nights in Punta Cana. The Price offered was 160 USD. The price charged was 320 USD
I have been in constantly contact with Hotels.com and the only thing, they offer a credit coupon of 50 USD and advice us to contact the hotel. I DID NOT order by the hotellet through Airbnb.
By the way. The appartment was dirty and we had to run back and forward to bye electricity
NEVER NEVER buy anything throug Hotels.com
Nightmare in our stay at La Quinta Paradise Las Vegas
I had so much expectations at laquinta because of past experience but this location is a nightmare. Most of the staff are very rude ,maintenance is horrible . Rooms are out of date ,dirty and most things are broken like air condition, toilet, hairdryer, ant problems. And we had address this to the staff and management and they didnt do anything but retaliated back and accused us for smoking when no one was smoking at all because we have kids and a sick person who has oxygen in the room.the only smoke in our room was the air condition that almost caught on fire and we had to air out the room. So over all a nightmare.
Never again
We used this website to book all our accommodations for our month of travelling in Florida. Although the initial booking process seemed flawless, when we got to our various hotels, we found that they had failed to book the stay correctly, particularly when breakfast was included. Without failed this add on of breakfast was continually dropped from the booking.
One hotel in particular hand changed hands since we made our booking, they failed to inform us of this change and to inform us that the new franchise didn’t offer breakfast. The franchise is in the process of “updating” the property and they failed to honour the booking which included breakfast. No attempt was made to offer an alternative breakfast option in any way shape or form, despite being in close proximity to eateries which specialises in breakfasts.
When checking the website for the listing of the hotel we are staying at, we have found that the listing has incorrect information. It advertises a cafe, but none exists there is only a coffee and tea stand in reception.
Hotel.com= scam
Hotel.com
It’s all scam. I booked a hotel with the live Agant. On the website it shows Canadian dollar but they charged me US DOLLER and when I called they said, they can’t do anything, they also charged me $250 more then what the grand total for my hotel booking was.
They are not worth the business and I would never recommend or do business with this scammers. Be sure what you are getting into before giving them your business.
fight for refund
Customer care takes side of hotels that don’t provide room that is booked had to go and dispute payment with credit card company to get refund won’t use again
A Horror - Better dont look for service or hotel information
The Website look good and the prices are fair. But better dont look for Service. Rebooking is a mess and the Service people are untrained and rude.
Also be aware of the small prints. Opening hours, breakfast and room condition sometime marked with little *
If I could give half a star I would
If I could give half a star I would. I have had a big fight on my hands when it comes to this company. I had 10 nights done but I had to fight tooth and nail to get my free hotel Room. As soon as I get done with my free Room I am dropping hotels.com completely and going to look in.com because they're more fair. Beware of hotels.com.

I specifically spent time for a room…
I specifically spent time for a room with three beds. I booked Doubletree from hotels.com. The listing on hotels.com showed me that the place has two queen beds and optional adding rollaway bed. Everything was fine until I arrive at Doubletree San Diego after 5 hours driving. The receptionist told us that they don't provide rollaway bed due to safety! According to the receptionist, this is their hotel policy, and they also ensured that information to hotels.com.
So, we were recommended to cancel our reservation (already paid!) from hotels.com, and supposedly Doubletree cannot withdraw even if I demand from them.
I called hotels.com and waited to talk for about 20 minutes to connect a customer rep. Finally, I got through and explained what happened. Long story short, they called the Doubletree to cancel my reservation; however, the manager (who has the authority to cancel) was not in the hotel. So, they couldn't cancel my hotel. I asked hotels.com CS rep to book another hotel, and she ended up saying to me that I have to pay for the new booking too with last minute booking rate. My previous and inaccurate reservation was charged to me, and I had to make a last minute booking.
In the meantime, they finally reached out to doubletree manager to cancel my reservation, and supposedly he refused to refund.
Hotels.com CS supervisor (I later demanded to talk to supervisor) didn't take any responsibility for my request for the refund, and they didn't even offer any free nights or any other deal (she was also extremely rude on the phone!).
We were left outside for 2 hours on the phone, and that happened after 5 hours driving. I ended up using booking.com to book for the night!
I do not recommend you to book anything from hotels.com because they do not protect you or take any responsibility! I suggest you find the hotel from any platform and book from the hotel's original website. At least you would be covered with the original hotel's policy. You won't have to deal with hotels.com's incompetent customer service reps (they barely speak English!) or their inconsistent website!
Owes me more than $3000 Refund
I booked a $750 room for one day on the website and saw that the price was lowered to $550 the next day. I called to have the price adjusted and was told that I could upgrade the room for just $50 more. After agreeing, they told me that I need to book the new room through their gift card and they will refund my original $750 back.
After purchasing an electronic GC of $1000, then they told me I can't do that with an electronic one, and I actually need to buy another physical card of $1000. After doing that again, they told me hotel.com card is experiencing difficulty and I need to purchase $1000 in Google Play card or else I will lose the room. During the whole time, I had to have my call connected. They told me if I hang up, I would also lose the deal.
I had to walk around 20 blocks to visit 4 different pharmcy stores to be able to buy $3000 (6 gift cards, because each card has $500 maximum and each store only allows 1 card purchase). I also had to call my bank multiple times because of suspicious activities. This totally took me more than 3 hours of waiting, walking and constantly talking on the phone.
In the end, they didn't give me a new confirmation number for the room. When I ask them about the refund, they are telling me to GO GET ANOTHER GOOGLE PLAY CARD. That is ridiculous. They owe me more than $3000 in a refund, and I'm supposed to pay more to get it back? I'm not going to buy another card or spend 2 hours walking around the city to buy cards and have my credit card maxed out for nothing. If they don't solve this immediately, I'm calling my bank and I'm taking the company to court.
Not accommodating with rewards program
Not accommodating with rewards program. Unaware of the expiration date and due to health crisis my rewards expired. When I tried to redeem it was 2 months past expiration date and the supposedly had "nothing we can do about that". Poor service.

This company are a disgrace.I booked a hotel to pay at the hotel and the hotel charged me. I told hotels.com who said they would investigate. The hotel said that they hadn`t taken the money. I showed the bank statement which proved this. Hotels.com replied to say they had done thorough investigation which proved the hotel hadn`t taken the money. I have no idea what the investigation involved because it is obvious they did take the money. Do not trust this company
Thieves
They charged me for 160 for a room in the morning.
A few hours later, the same room was 120.
They refused to issue me any kind of price match.
They are simply thieves

I asked for a hotel, and they gave me an apartment in a different place that has nothing to do
I researched Tripadvisor for a specific hotel "Hotel Colosseum" in Rome.
I was shown a business on the Hotel.com website, with a good price and I went to check it out. After seeing the information on this site where I had been referred by Tripadvisor (Address, photos, value, website), I booked a non refundable offer for being a hotel with a history and well recommended by all reviews.
The information of the reservation that appeared on the page was of this hotel, but in the end what I received and registered in Hotel.com was an apartment with bad reviews and very bad.
For cancelation Hotel.com requires a call to an added value number 707, and requires us to be in call paying. Two tries and nothing until now.
They are NUTS in services.Just earn…
They are NUTS in services.Just earn commission.F***,
We booked Hotel Equatorial in Penang in 1/2/2018 and PAID but check in 19/12/2018. The change of STUPID GOVERNMENT abolish 6% GST in May 2018, I did not get refund.
Then the Stupid New Government re-introduce 6% SST in Sep 2018.
Hotel Equatorial reception insist us to pay 6% SST. I question where is my 6% GST PAID? They said refunded to HOTEL.COM.
I sent an email ask HOTEL.COM for help with this dispute. Hotel.Com can give all sorts bloody excuses just refuse to HELP and yet ask us to pay the 6% SST. Bloody Fool!!!
I went and talk to the Hotel Front Desk Manager, Mr .John. He is very helpful and understand GST is actually rename it to SST and get this sorted out without us double pay.
HOTEL.COM STAY AWAY!!!!!!
They cancelled my booking without…
They cancelled my booking without telling me, when I found out contacted customer services who lied through there teeth to who’s fault it was, all I wanted was my reservation honoured. I ended up booking the hotel directly. They have just lost a customer!
So far so good
Booked a 2 night stay in a UK hotel... then read online reviews about hotel.com and started to worry that maybe the booking wasn’t correctly taken, as there were so many negative reviews. Our money had been taken and the price was £50 cheaper than when I initially telephoned the hotel to book directly. So a couple of days after booking through hotel.com, decided for piece of mind to ring the hotel direct and check they had received the booking and there were no issues. Hotel confirmed everything booked, so a positive experience for us so far
SERIOUSLY THIS SITE NEEDS TO BE SHUT…
SERIOUSLY THIS SITE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN NOW!! MY HOTEL ROOM WENT FROM BEING $150 A NIGHT TO $501 FOR TWO NIGHTS! THEY ARE SERIOUSLY STEALING MONEY. THIS IS NOT OKAY AND SHOULD NOT BE LEGAL. WHEN I TRIED TO CANCEL THE NEXT DAY THEY SAID THEY WOULD ONLY REFUND ME 80%. ARE YOU SERIOUS? NOT ONLY THAT BUT IT'S BEEN TWO WEEKS AND STILL NO MONEY IN THE BANK. DO NOT USE THIS SITE. I'M UPSET THIS SITE IS EVEN UP AND I WILL REPORT THEM TO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!
Hotels.com is frauding strategically.
This site is basically cheating customers with their framework of strategy. while showing the page to the customer, the page show 120 Euro per night for reservation for the hotel. However, plays a nice trick and charges 75% of the total amount for the very first day and keeps 25% for rest number of days. if you don't like the hotel, so if you don't like the hotel and wanted to move out. you lose out all your money.. and they help hotels to put nice colourful picture on their site while booking, but the actual hotel is way beyond than what promised.
pathetic Site, also i have read many reviews now, that this site charges unauthorised amount from your card with your consent.
This site should be banned from eCommerse site to do any kind of business.
Hotels.com appalling customer service
My partner suffers from COPD and can have breathing difficulties in very hot conditions so we booked two hotels through hotels.com which both were stated to have air conditioning. The first was fine but when we arrived at the second there was no air conditioning in the room. The hotel manager told us that he had advised Hotels.com of the error on their site a week previously. Because of my partners’ disability, I told them that we could not stay there – it was already over 30 degrees at the time of our arrival. Hotels.com relocated us to a hotel about £14 more and charged us £50 for doing so (after several emails they refunded it but have refused to refund us for the hotel which was misrepresented leaving us £400+ in the red. Writing to them is a waste of time because each time a different person handles it and just uses boiler plate text to ignore anything you say and just stonewall you. Even getting the hotel changed was a nightmare as it took them hours to do it and they never rang you back when they lost the call so we ended up having to contact 4 different people and start all over again while I was able to locate a hotel in less than 5 minutes on their website. I am now taking them to court and have cancelled my business with them having booked several hundred rooms with them in the past. Apparently they were taken over by Expedia some time ago which perhaps explains the way they treat you when you have problem.
