Terrible shipping and customer service. I placed an order online and when I went to get it from the post office the bottom of the box was completely opened. The box had one single piece of clear tape on the bottom and one on the top. My items (some breakable) were just thrown into the box without and packaging filler. When I contacted customer service they just didn’t care….first and last time I ever shop at hot topic 🙄

They are the worst
They are the worst, I placed an order of about 7 shirts (about $100), but they were behind schedule for the shipping (about a week has passed and no update). So it was obvious it wasn't going to arrive in time (they still couldn't provide an estimated date, nor the knew when they could give me one), I asked for cancelling the order, they can't, they tell me I have to wait for it and return it myself. Ok, already bad, but I'll do it, but I can't return it by the time they deliver it because I won't be in town for more than a month. They tell me if I don't return it within 30 days, they won't refund me.
Terrible service, is their fault I'm on this problem and they don't do anything to help me.

Don't buy from Hot Topic online! If your item is on sale/clearance, they will NOT let you return or exchange the item. I bought 3 Olivia Rodrigo shirts for my 11 yr old (Christmas present) and they are HUGE ! Absurd I can't even exchange them for the right size - I'll never buy from Hot Topic EVER AGAIN. Also, their customer service chat is a JOKE, it took me in circles and the bot was an idiot. (At least I hope it was a bot)

i was having an amazing day and plus going to the outlets my day couldn’t get any better. And than it happened, me and my brother went to hot topic to get some stuff. And there it was a godzilla mystery pack, I picked one and saw all the wonderful options i can get but i got the worst one a ship. Now my whole day is ruined.💀🙏
They just can't get it right!
They literally cannot get anything right! I ordered a Hello Kitty crystal figurine and they sent me a Mickey Mouse Funko Pop. Seriously? I had used a bunch of points and rewards coupons, so when they went to refund me, I only received $12 back but to replace the Hello Kitty figurine? I would have to pay double!! Of course they're out of stock so I have to go somewhere else to try to find this figurine and now pay double! Every time they ship me something they get it wrong. PLUS I'm supposed to be earning points and the local store confirmed that I should have points, but they're nowhere to be found in my account. Hot topic just at this point sucks more than any other store I have ever visited. I need to stop giving them my money immediately!! And Hot topic, if you are reading this, don't bother reaching out to me. You guys just suck. I have contacted your customer service, they suck. I have emailed your customer service, they suck too. All of you could give a crap about your customers. You think that you're in business all this time and that you don't have to give a crap about us. Well, I didn’t realize after the fact, for the $100 gift card that I bought Obviously thinking it’s in Canadian funds, I was charged $144 in USD.
Be careful if you want to buy a hot topic gift card for your love ones in Canada, especially through their website. I don’t live near hot topic so I have no idea if the brick and mortar store is the same.

Please, don’t order online from here. I previously tried to order from here, the order was automatically cancelled despite £80+ leaving my account. It took over a week for my refund to appear. I just tried to order from here again, £70+ again, thinking that maybe the last time was a glitch or something, but no. The exact same thing has happened, and I wouldn’t be surprised if I don’t get my money back after reading some more of the reviews.

I waited 2 months for something only to get a message saying they cancelled it because they didnt have enough stock. Still no refund. Brotha, if i order something, especially a pre-order, and its cancelled because YOU dont have the stock? I expect a damn refund and not the worst customer service known to humanity.

In store, was the holidays, just a FEW DAYS after t he return deadline Two store Managers, were rude/yelled at me and no help to return. Next purchase, I noticed when I looked at home, one was dirty, one had NO SIZE on it, skirt was too big, so I tried to return them and same thing, refused. For one year, email back and forth was just a game, no help. Each time, had to explain the story each time. If you really care about us, keep a FILE for complaints. I did at my job. So, a few items were refused caused me a lot of stress. Please refund!

Their clothes are crap. Poorly fitted and poorly made. You can't cancel an order even if it's literally been just minutes since you placed it. They will tell you their "system won't allow it." Over priced junk. And it's the same junk over and over again.
Stop lying!
Stop saying you have something when you don't! Sending me text messages saying the item is in stock then you click the link to add the product to your cart of course unavailable. It's annoying so stop doing it!

Hot topic is a really good store I ordered a shirt online and it came in good also I went to the store itself and bought 2 shirts they were pricy but very good quality and if you want to not have your package lost I recommend going to the store itself
