Not cheap but not ridiculously expensive. Comparable quality to top so called ,designer kitchens? Certainly!

bought 3 kitchens for a development we did in balham. The flats are being sold. Today I had to clean the kitchen sink as it had some dried paint in it; used a simple plastic scourer - left bloody scratches!! The sink are so soft and poor quality...that they can even handle a simple clean

After a little wobble after our first appointment (due to a member of the team switching to another branch without telling me!), the Howdens team at Balham have been fantastic. Great design support from the ever patient Kelly, and great aftersales/fitting support from Rick, manager Chris, and Hollie. Ours was a new extension and design took place before the space was finished. Inevitably, once building work was completed, tweaks and changes were needed. The team were great at coming up with solutions and getting new bits to the house in super quick time. We had some issues with the right connections for light fittings (not down to the branch) and Chris personally made it his mission to sort it. All in all, any problems arising felt far less painful to resolve than I anticipated, and the team was so helpful. Howdens range is fantastic too, which really helps! I would definitely recommend them and the Balham branch.

A very disappointing experience with the Howdens Balham branch. We started with in-depth discussions with the designer but the first Design Pack she sent me had an important corner unit omitted - and so it went on. My builder was a huge help and professional when dealing with them but 'misunderstandings' continued. These included the measurements being so wrong that there was room for a complete extra cupboard unit to be fitted. I was astonished at the designer's error. And when, after this was discussed and pointed out, they sent an updated Design Pack that had another big error.

I asked for a receipt but was told to use my bank's BAC proof of transfer as a receipt. One would not be issued by Howdens, even for an extra payment I'd incurred which was not invoiced. On outside advice I had to accept that.

I bought all appliances from other sources, at my builder’s suggestion and for which I am very glad. He usually deals with another branch but that was too far away for me.
I've given it 3 stars because I like the units and work surface - fingers crossed. It was finished early July.

As another person mentioned Howdens Balham kitchen designers are not competent enough, they have wrongly measured our kitchen, ordered the wrong specifications kitchen and refused to take any responsibility.

Not only the entire experience has been nothing but just a nightmare starting from account opening to kitchen design to wrong size doors, wrong sink, rude staff and poor customer service.

I have used other branches in the past but this Balham branch has got to be the worst in terms of competence and professionalism.

Will take my business elsewhere from now on

Being an interior designer I am very demanding when it comes to efficiency and responsiveness of suppliers. Howdens branch in Balham with Hollie and Ricky offers a service you would expect by an high end supplier. Highly recommended!

We recently renovated our kitchen with Howdens' Balham branch. We are very happy with the finished product and would like commend Hollie for her support and assistance throughout the project. She has been a trustworthy partner all along and helped quickly and effectively resolve whatever hurdle we came across. Overall, a pleasure to work with.

Ricky, Hollie and the team at Balham Branch are fantastic and very knowledgeable. They have made a stressful process a lot less by using their product knowledge and industry skills. The end result is I have beautiful internal doors that fit correctly. Very happy and would highly recommend using this branch.

Kelly at Howdens in Balham is an absolute legend, she designed my kitchen, making numerous amends as I changed my mind, and giving advice when I needed to save money etc. From start to finish the process was a dream. Quality of the products is great and the range of options mind boggling! Would 100% recommend!

I found the Balham team to be incredibly accommodating. My kitchen designer, Bogi, made the entire process effortless and ensured we maximised our space despite the restrictions. I will definitely be using this branch again as we expand our portfolio

Just had my first experience of Howdens @ the Balham branch. What can I say about the team, other than lovely and extremely helpful. Dan and Dani in the shop was extremely helpful and looked after me exceptionally well. Dani had a smile on her face the whole time and Dan was very knowledgeable. I’m so glad I decided to go to the showroom and I look forward to moving ahead with my kitchen in the very near future.
