Form the very first time Gurpinder came to visit, right the way through the project, we were really pleased with the level of service received from Howdens at Orpington and particularly from G. Whatever questions we had were answered quickly and the inevitable little bumps in the road we faced were smoothed over calmly and swiftly by G. The kitchen looks great, thanks so much!

We used Howdens at Orpington for our kitchen and utility room design and purchase. Howdens also offered great range of units and a comprehensive range of own and branded appliances and extras to include in the initial design, which was really helpful to get an clear fixed cost for your total potential budget at the beginning. You can then add your own items if you want something really specific or to suit your particular budget.
This works really well for design and budget assurity and it was easy through our designer to make changes along the way when necessary with the eventual tweaks etc as the build stage progressed with our extention.
No matter how good the products on offer, as the customer, the real experience is only as good as the quality of service and the product knowledge the staff you deal with (as we are not experts). Our Howdens designer Gurpinder, at the Orpington store, is a true 5 star employee who led us through the entire process from start to finish, producing great visuals and expertly advising on all the various products and options at every stage with great efficiency, courtesy and indeed patience. A big thank you Gurpinder and all at Orpington Howdens !

Came in and dealt with Amanda, she was so helpful and helping us out with picking our kitchen and just ideas we could use in terms of worktop. She gave us loads of options and was patient with us as well as so friendly and bubbly, she also helped us with the flooring and just made the whole experience a joy. In 2019 left a 5* review for this store to acknowledge Ellis' outstanding service for designing a few kitchens for our company (purchased).
This afternoon at 3:15 called to speak to the manger & spoke to the rudest individual representing this company.
Amanda was loud, argumentative, sarcastic, accusatory and plain unprofessional.
She claimed many Google reviews to her outstanding performance, so she was not a problem on our call.
This was the second time Amanda had taken the call but did her best performance on the second call.

Gurpinder at Howdens in Orpington was fantastic. I was very particular about I what I wanted and she spent the time to make sure I ended up with a design I was happy with, also working seamlessly with the fitter to swap things out when needed.
My only niggle with Howdens as a company is the opacity of the pricing to the end customer, but that’s a company wide point and I was really pleased with the service I received. I would happily recommend.

Excellent team in Orpington. We were assigned to Gurpinder who was extremely helpful and professional and ensured that all our ideas were duly considered. We had multiple discussions and changes and nothing was a trouble to Gurpinder. Everything was delivered promptly by a friendly delivery driver. Our kitchen fit is complete and amazing. Charged me nearly £500 for 36 kitchen cupboard handles, returned them and went round the corner to Screwfix and purchased the same items for £115. When you use a trade only place you expect to get fair pricing sadly unless you have the time to haggle every purchase with Howdens you invariably pay over the odds.

Pathetic. The lady who picked our phone at orpington branch just did not want yo help at al. Its almost like she literally hates her job. Seriously bad! Poor is an understatement

I went to Howdens in Orpington for help and advice with a renovation project I was undertaking to start up a holiday let . I had no previous experience of this type of work and what would be needed . I was lucky enough to be met by Amanda AJ who was so helpful and supportive that it made purchase choices easy and enjoyable . I highly recommend Amanda for the polite , helpful service she gave me ! All the lady’s and gents at the Orpington branch are very friendly and always keep to help and they’re great when I send clients in to design a kitchen etc nothings to much trouble !
