The sales person who served me, had no form of good customer service whatsoever.

The air felt cold and totally unwelcoming, as soon as I walked into the WOODFORD GREEN depot/shop.

But before I walked in, I had asked the guys outside, where is the toilet and if I could use it?

They was almost about to say NO and turn me away, before I mentioned that I was going to make a purchase afterwards, due to needing screws for my door, that I was putting up.

After the toilet use, it then seemed like the sales guy, who I had repeatedly asked for directions to the toilet, didn't seem like he wanted to serve me.

It almost seems like he had a major attitude problem or it was an off day for him.

But I was totally astonished, that he even took a phone call, whilst serving me, showing no respect to me as a customer or no respect to me potentially being in a hurry to get back to my work. He didn't not even ask me if I was okay to wait, he just continued on with the call regardless.

If I am in that area again, I will never go back to that depot in Woodford Green again, not even if I need an item in a hurry, I will just go to Toolstation or Screwfix in that area, where the ambiance is uplifting and welcoming.

But if I need anything from the wonderful Howdens, I will just stick to going to the Bermondsey or Peckham Branch only.

To where the service is top notch and the air and customer service is welcoming and the staff are great.

Woodford Green is a let down, for the side of Howdens, to where excellent customer service and the great welcoming experience, from branches like BERMONDSEY.

Is the key selling point, as to why we tradesman, travel so far, to go back to places like Bermondsey, to buy our products, for the jobs at hand.

From now on I will travel back or pre buy any items that I need, from the Bermondsey site only, due to fear of bumping into another sales person, like the one at Woodford Green.

Or the fear of being rejected, for using the toilet, when I have come off a job, to buy a product, to continue the job.

Many thanks for sorting out my account on the day and many thanks for employing the wonderful manager and sales staff at Bermondsey.

They are a great winning team and a credit to your company.

To the advantage of Woodford Green, got a callback today, from the wonderful manager and the issues of concern, was addressed nicely with ourselves, over the phone.

Howdens woodford has been my go to branch for several years. Always felt welcomed and looked after by all staff. I buy all my kitchens and doors from them as they always look after me and my pockets!

Howdens repeatedly advertise across their website that they can price match any like-for-like door from other manufacturers. However, when I provided them with a quotation for comparison, their response was:

"Both my manager and I have reviewed the details, and unfortunately, we’re unable to match the price of the kitchen you’ve shared. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. As a company, we don’t offer kitchens that are directly comparable to those from German manufacturers.

This shows that the price match claim is not as straightforward as advertised. If you’re looking for an actual price match, you may be better off considering alternative suppliers such as DIY Kitchens, who are more transparent with their pricing policies.

Nightmare experience, kitchen still in shambles after two weeks and a half.
I ordered a small, very simple kitchen and Howdens Woodford somehow managed to botch the planning. Due to an error in their planning, after two weeks and a half the kitchen is still not completed and the support/refund they offered ranges from non existent to laughable. They also forgot to supply a very important inner shelf and they aren’t answering my e-mails anymore, thinking that ignoring me will magically make their issue disappear. The worst aspect is their customer care from the store: they lack any kind of accountability and keep on gaslighting and blaming me for their poor job. Truly a textbook of what not to do with customer service.
This nightmare brought so much stress on my household. I highly advise not to use this company because they clearly think poorly of their customers.

Great service, really responsive and thank you Ansaar for being really enthusiastic, patient and professional through our various designs (and redesigns) of our new kitchen. Offered really valuable advice and input.

We first made enquiries at Howdens Woodford Green in November 2023. Little did we know that our kitchen project would still be finishing off a year later in November 2024! This was not in anyway connected with Howdens, who from first contact with the branch have been incredibly efficient and helpful. Our kitchen designer Ansaar has been nothing short of marvellous, and was our go-to for advice and assistance whenever we needed it. What a star he was! Very pleased with the standard of the kitchen itself aswell. All in all, we're very satsfied customers.

Very, very happy customer! Ansaar designed the kitchen with professionalism and flair, and also helped the customer (who doesn't buy new kitchens very often) with various options, plans and amendments during the preparation phase.
Prior to buying from Howdens, did a bit of looking at other brands: in terms of build quality, Howdens seems streets ahead.
Would highly recommend Howdens in general, and Howdens Woodford Green in particular. With many thanks to Ansaar and colleagues.

From beginning to end our experience with our new kitchen has been excellent. The people at South Woodford Howden’s, from Albert to the rest of the staff, have been patient, helpful and always offered no pressure advice. The best bit was the little things they did after we had already bought and installed the kitchen. No quibble replacement of items that we weren’t 100% happy with and always with a smile and with grace. The kitchen looked lovely and ended up being a lot cheaper than the comparative competitors. I am really pleased with my new kitchen. Ansaar the kitchen designer made the whole process smooth and stress free from start to finish. He planned everything exactly as I asked, paying attention to fine details of my requirements. When I made two last minute changes, he adapted the order easily and quickly. Everything was delivered on time on the agreed date and I was kept updated throughout. Thank you Ansaar and thank you Howdens for a lovely kitchen.

far from cheap.. honestly they have gone from reasonable to exspensive shame about the service as well....

I recently purchased a kitchen from Howdens and I am extremely satisfied with my experience. From the moment I stepped into their showroom, I was greeted warmly by their knowledgeable staff who guided me through the entire process. Michael in particular has been a true assett in getting our project competed on time and within budget.

The range of kitchen options available at Howdens was impressive, and I was able to find the perfect design that suited my style.

Howdens were incredibly helpful in assisting me with the design and layout of my kitchen namely Nicole. She listened attentively to my ideas and provided valuable suggestions and recommendations.

The quality of the kitchen products I purchased from Howdens exceeds my expectations. The materials used are sturdy, durable, and built to last.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the Woodford Green branch and will certainly be dealing with them again in the future.

Really great team, very friendly and welcoming for non-experts. Albert in particular is stellar; extremely patient and helpful with us as we had a number of structural challenges to balance when designing the kitchen.
