Decades long buyer

Living in rural America, my options to buy anything were very limited. Luckily, I found HSN on the TV decades ago. I found fashion trends and things that fit properly. I tried skin treatments and various makeup brands. All were totally fully refunded if they didn't work out within a month, more at holiday time. Even the shipping costs to me were refunded at HSN if an item was returned. It made living in the country feel like I was in touch with some semblance of what was going on in fashion and skincare.

I currently only use hsn.com because I'm too open to their influence because their TV personalities are quite convincing. Basically I check in for the daily special and I have alerts for my favorite brands as a heads up for when they will appear on sale.

Their customer service is good and when there are errors, they make it right. There is no perfection but I find their business model and the way they implement it are quite good.

Terrible Return Policy

Terrible return policy. I received a light-up ceramic tree that was DOA (Dead On Arrival). While advertised as new but on sale, it appeared to be a return by a previous customer because there were also cut marks on the box made by the previous customer with a matte knife when they opened it up. It looked re-packed and it smelled of perfume. I don't mind getting a new item that might have been a customer return AS LONG AS IT WORKS. But to pay as much as I have for shipping because of my location and then get a defective DOA item is very disheartening. To add insult to the injury, I have to pay to ship this defective item back and will end up only with a partial refund. I don't think I'll be shopping on HSN anytime soon. It's great--as long as you don't have to return a defective, nonworking item.

Beware of shopping on HSN

Beware of shopping on HSN. I returned a supplement that smelled putrid. The CSR located my return and stated that my payment would be returned in full. On my bank statement it showed that they debited
$7.95 separately!( a return fee) I am not shopping on HSN any more!

The first time buying from HSN

The first time buying from HSN and had to return the items because I was not satisfied with them and called to see what needed to be done to return them and was not told I would be responsible for the cost of return. When I called to talk to a manager about how miss leading the website was about return policies he/she was not helpful and told me that the only way shipping would have been free is if the items are broken. HSN is not a good place to shop. Call them before you decide to buy off of them to make sure you do not have to pay out of pocket for returns. This shopping channel is a ripoff.

Ordered a new mattress with HSN based on a recommendation from a friend, ordered and paid for - after 5 days still shows packing, after 6 days CSR says it is weather delay, 7 days CSR says it has been picked up by UPS - UPS shows label created awaiting pick up - 8 days CSR says warehouse closed and they cannot check - different reasons from each CSR - first time buyer, last time buyer with HSN

Beware of change in return policy

HSN has begun selling items through second vendors. These items do not carry the return policy of an HSN item, and you do not know this until something is wrong and you need to return it. Not only will it cost you to return the item, all you will get is spendable cash as your return. There will be no credit back to your credit card.

Very rude and incompetent customer service on phone.

Ordered a bookcase from HSN. They sent an order confirmation to me. Then,the very next day, sent me another email saying my order was cancelled. I called to find out why it was cancelled. Very rude woman on HSN line told me they could not verify my information. I asked her to explain, and she said WE JUST CAN"T VERIFY YOUR INFO. No explanation,just a very rude woman. There is nothing wrong with my information, because I use the same credit card at QVC with no problem. I will NEVER shop at HSN again....due to the rudeness of this woman,and more importantly,she could not give me any reason that my info couldn't be verified. I think they did not want to sell the item at the confirmed sale price. What other reason could it possibly be??? HSN is a scam,with very rude customer service. GOODBYE HSN. I am a QVC customer forever.

If I could rate a 0 star I would. I ordered 2 ornaments in mid October and was told they would be delivered within 10-15 days. I am still waiting for them. Every I have emailed customer service they reply with the same 2 automatic emails on rotation and do not actually reply to your questions. When I ask for reimbursement or for order to be cancelled, they just do not reply.

Don’t order from HSN

Don’t order from HSN! We ordered 2 NFL footballs on 9-4-21 for Christmas gifts and received confirmation that our package would be delivered within a month but that’s when the joke started! Every couple weeks we received an email that our order would be delayed. I spoke to customer service the first week of November and they assured me delivery would be 11-22-21. No sign of anything except another email that we would receive it 12-7-21. Again nothing except a email promising delivery on 12-24-21. THAT DAY we received an automated phone call that our order was canceled! A phone call to customer service was worth nothing; they said the manufacturer stopped making them (but the website says we can order!) and we can receive a refund plus a $5 credit to use within 30 days. No thanks, we will never order from HSN again.

Order an NFL blanket for a Christmas present, opened the box and was the wrong team, contacted customer service, was told sorry and will resend it and will arrive 12/27. Great Christmas present...2 days late...and was told sorry best we can do....no offer to give any sort of deal or try to get faster, just deal with it. Worst ever company to order from....dont waste your time or money, order elsewhere

Very happy with HSN delivery this holiday season

I have been very happy with HSN during this holiday season 2021. All of the items have been delivered very quickly and they have offered LOTS of free shipping. Their sister station QVC has been a bit of a nightmare with delivery and very little free shipping comparatively.

Not honoring 18 plan they offer

A one is the only option or there use it would be zero. I purchased a computer on the 18 financing plan and they will not honor it. I’ve called after the billing appear wrong and their cc dept had me call them. When it aired on TV it was an option which I agreed to but they did a one time billing. I called once I realized it and they will not change the terms. BEWARE they are not honoring what they offer!!!😡😡😡😡

My order never came

My order never came. Upon chatting numerous times on line with customer service, I was assured THE DATE of NOV. 30. Keep in mind my order was placed a LONG TIME AGO. I contacted them via phone...... they told me I’d be contacted by mid DEC. if my item was not going to be available. Huh?????
NEVER will I order again!!!!

I purchased a tv on flexpay after my money was taken ..my order was cancelled..308 dollars which I haven't received back into my account..contacted customer service .twice FRIST time 24hrs my money would be back . second time 72 HRS..it takes a few seconds to take my money and tie my funds up..now I have to wait until they get ready to return my money class action lawsuit..I'm not the only customer with this complaint..MAD 😡😡😡
