I posted a few days ago about our bathroom renovation, with a 2 star review. I’m leaving a 1 star review now, because I am so fed up with the way our simple renovation has been handled by a worker at the Glostrup branch.

The worker came over THREE months ago, and we finally received a bordplade and two cupboards a couple of weeks ago. Along the way the worker we’ve dealt with has gotten measurements wrong, has been hard to get on to, and has only recently been more communicative. We were missing two things when we got everything delivered, and after finally putting a lot of pressure on him, he promised we’d get the two missing items within 48 hours. That was about 5 days ago and we are still missing one of them.

Today we had handymen over to install it, and realised that the worker has completely mis-measured the sink, which won’t fit in the cupboard underneath (the cupboard is 47cm in width and the sink is 48cm...). I told him very specially that the cupboard’s outer measurements are 50cm so we need a sink that fits with that size. He has also been here physically, to measure, and I sent him a floor plan of our bathroom, with all the measurements.

I understand that people make mistakes, but we have been so patient and we cannot believe how long this has now taken and how poor the service has been, with so many stuff ups along the way.

We expect a significant discount, for all the time and energy we’ve spent trying to contant our worker, fix his mistakes and have handymen come over to assess what needs to be fixed. We have clearly been unlucky, given the mostly excellent reviews of HTH, but this is why I hope that you will be professional and act on our complaint quickly, so that we can finally finish our bathroom, which we consulted you about over three months ago!!

We built a house with Huscompaniet and the kitchen was from HTH. We were very happy with their service, the quality of the furniture and communication with them.
Our contact there was Louise Falkenberg Groth from Holstebro, she was very service minded, offered great guidance and willing to help with any request. We recommend her greatly.

We can highly recommend working with Louise Falkenberg Groth from HTH Holstebro. We had a great feeling from the start. She was professional and friendly. She was patient with all the decisions we had to make but effective and full of ideas and suggestions. She took us through the whole process and made the experience memorable for us.

No comments to the kitchen and its quality- that is great and what you would expect from HTH Køkkener. But the extra you get is the great customer service. Our consultant was Henrik Kramer working with him was a charm. We got top notch customer service, during the kitchen design process and later throughout the implementation of the project.

Great attention to our requests, quick in addressing any issues and coming up with solutions.

We have faced hiccups in the implementation and some delays and minor issues with the services provided, but HTH team were always there to take action and ensure a solution is in place to our satisfaction.

We ordered a Nordic Spirit kitchen to Switzerland via HTH Abenraa. The interaction and planning process with the consultant there was great. But the shipment was lacking many major and basic elements and included three doors/panels produced in the wrong size – elements that won't arrive in their correct quantity or size at our place before two months after the original shipment (we're still waiting). This was quite disappointing. We dared buying an international kitchen and paid a lot for shipping and handling. And we were promised that the shipment would be checked two or three times, so that nothing is missing. Overall thus a mixed experience. I am unsure if I'd recommend HTH to colleagues.

We visited HTH Glostrup to discuss about our plan to add some cabinets to our HTH kitchen and we met the sales guy (Per), we agree on the design and he said that I should email him some measurement and he will provide the quotation.

I sent the mail and have not had any reply in 2 weeks. I sent reminder to ask for the quotation. Another guy replying saying that due to workload, Per asked him to provide me the quotation and he promised to return to me the following week with quotation. Now it has been another 3 weeks and I still haven’t heard a single word from them.

I’m a disappointed customer even before I managed to order something. It would be really appreciated if you could take your prospective customer seriously.

We have decided in early 2018 to build an entire new kitchen in our house – including new floor, floor heating, new windows, new design, new sink incl. Cooker, new cooking station, new M-Head new everything. Selecting a trustworthy partner as a turn key supplier as a general contractor was our way forward. The general contractor opted for HTH as the supplier for the kitchen design, cabinets, sink and electrical appliances.

According to the joint planning of the general contractor together with HTH the construction period was estimated at app. 3 months.

The basic construction work was going according to plan and after the floor had completed we were ready to receive the kitchen – to be installed by HTH “specialist”. It was then that we learned that the main plate for the kitchen was not ordered and consequently not delivered at the time when the assembly work was scheduled to begin. We also learned that the cooking station was wrongly ordered. Nevertheless HTH began to install the different cabinets and some makeshift arrangements for the main plate, cooking station – oh yes: the M-Head was not ordered as well…

As the thickness of the final main plate was decisive for the placement of the window the kitchen window was not to be installed – which left us for about 6 weeks with a wooden cover of the wall opening.

We had also agreed on the installation of an “apotheker closet” for spices and similar kitchen utensils. A design well known which were not considered problematic by the “specialist” of HTH.

When the main plate finally arrived it got damaged (design was concrete, it broke partly at 4 locations) and we realized that the entire plate was not straight. The “apotheker closet” was a patchwork of 4 front plates kept together with two screwed on metal plates on the inside plus three standard element to carry the content. A design which rendered three compartments almost useless as access was too small and three compartments so wide that the space could not at all be used in a sensible manner. The total construction was completely out of water resulting in a tilting of the closet which made it extremely difficult to open and close.

We complaint towards HTH and with the support of the general contractor managed to get an answer after several weeks of follow up.

That was the answer we received from HTH:

1. The plate cannot be replaced as the production process does not allow for straightness – but they will send a service engineer from the supplier to patch up the cracks

2. There is no solution for the apotheker closet other than changing it into a three part design (funny that this kind of closet is a standard for which e.g. a Dutch do-it-yourself chain offers a complete set for taking home and install yourself…) – we did not agree on the patch up of HTH lousy design…

3. The M-Head was never formally ordered – that why it was not delivered…????? As we by then were very well aware of the performance level of HTH we decided to order it ourselves and have the General Contractor mount it

Now we are 6 months down the line and there is still no action taken to rectify the blunder HTH has committed. We have now decided to ask our general contractor to remove the HTH design and trash can it – replacing it with a design that is delivering on the agreed function.

All in all: HTH was founded by the brothers Hans Henning and Tonny Haahr in 1966. The two skilled craftsmen had previously worked with kitchens for other suppliers, but were not impressed. "It needs to be done better," they thought. Today we are convinced that there must be better ways to do a kitchen than using HTH – “specialists”.

The performance of HTH – communication and solution far below industry standard, not even getting close to fulfilling expectations, and certainly not living up to the vision that they proclaim on their website.

Today morning at 8 am we were in a meeting with David, that guy was very cool,smart,helpful and very smily, we didn't have that big budget and he helped so much with that without beeing disturbed, that kind of sellers is rare to find, so thats why we are writing here that review just to say Thanx
forfot to say that we got out new drawing and the offer after 7 hours.
