Not all insurance is equal

I have had Florida Blue for years and have had some minor issues here and there but nothing like Humana. I would suggest you read and reread every detail all insurance isn’t equal. Humana is more in line with United healthcare at lack of service and delaying approvals. The produced was grossly misrepresented to me and is much less than I was promised. Given my experience with Humana I would not recommend it I would suggest anyone asking me for my advice to keep shopping and to find something more customer centered Humana like many other for profit insurance companies is looking out for shareholders and much less concerned with providing care or looking out for needs of their customers. Brace yourself for a very disappointing experience.

I purchased an Medicare Advantage Plan and they were prompt and generous in reimbursements. Unfortunately, they dropped the plan in my location. Personally, I would rather have the cash instead of the purchase allowance.

Humana doesn't cover it

Telephone chat bot is slow and unhelpful. Getting to a human being to deal with urgent issues is difficult. 4 attempts including one hang up which they didn't reconnect. Humana Advantage is not accepted at some of the best clinics in the US, whereas regular Medicare is. Humana is not recommended.

Signed up for Humana give back Sept. It's now Feb and no money. They owe me over 400$. The reason I signed up was to get 107$ extra in Soc Sec. I'm behind on bills and credit card payment My ins agent calked them too. Humana also didn't pay anything on 900$ anesthesia for 2 teeth extracted. Horrible ins.its like a scam. Now with Devoted

Transferred 6 times and wanted to transfer me to number 7. Still didn't get an answer to my issue. I gave up.... The website is so awful even the employees don't know how to use it...... Would not recommend Humana for anything!

I am very disappointed with Humana…

I am very disappointed with Humana Dental. I was misled and lied to regarding my payment plan. I was told when the next payment would be and they added an additional charge. I have been calling my agent for a week now and she is not returning any of my calls.

lost cause

i've been with Humana for 3 or 4 years. the first 2 years it took me to get a id card from them after 10 plus calls. then on year 3 they took back part of the OTC (over the counter) benifits away without at least letting people know. Now this year 2025 they have taken all of it away without letting me know at least. I will be terminate this policy in October. I know they don't care and neither do I.

I wanted to pay my annual fee of $195 so they would not retain my credit card and charge me $16-30 every month. They said they'd d that, but kept my card info against my wishes and are charging me monthly.
Humana are liars and an id theft risk, imho.

The absolute worst of the worst in…

The absolute worst of the worst in their drug programs. Their customer support is defensive and rude when trying to talk to them. The worst one named Taylor, would not let me speak and as I told her what I paid for a drug the entire months of 2024, she said I didn't. I was on the Humana page and all statements were listed and it was a generic and she called it a name brand. They know nothing at all. Stay away from them. They told me I would pay just over two thousand dollars for my meds in 2024, when in fact I ended up paying over 9,000 dollars. Scammers and liars, stay away. I'm seeking to get that superviser Taylor FIRED from working there for being such a jerk ! Stay away !!

I was enrolled in a medicare advantage…

I was enrolled in a medicare advantage plan that covered a portion of the Part B premium. Unbeknownst to me, Humana changed my policy in December 2024 and back dated the change to August 2024. They changed my policy without my knowledge or consent, and they back dated the change. I have proof that the original policy was in effect in November.
So now the SSA is billing ME for $750 that was Humana's responsibility.
But as usual, when you call humana you get the run around and nobody knows anything. And the agent of record, Louis W. is a joke. completely awol. Only in it for commissions. I have no delusions that they will ever resolve this issue. My purpose of this review is to warn you about humana. Avoid them.

Please do not make the mistake of taking this insurance, Humana Medicaid are incompetent people, and the doctor they have should be fired, I do not know where she studied because as a doctor she is useless, I have a disabled son and she authorized that all my son's supplies be cut off, my son's food is special milk, he uses 6 per day and that doctor only authorized 2 per day, she reduced the diapers, the wipes, this company is the worst

Humana is the worst insurance company I have every dealt with. They do not pay for the services they sell you when you sign up, it is always a battle to get anything done. They refuse a claim, tell you to submitt an appeal, they wait 4 months to review it, then tell you it's expired

I haven't found providers who will even take my insurance, because Humana never fills claims!

They lied to me when they said that I get a monthly spending account for food and supplies. Their "healthy benefits" site does not allow for very much at all, and is impossible to do online.

Even worse than United! I didn't think it was possible.

I just started with Humana on January…

I just started with Humana on January 1, 2025.
Right out of the gate they denied approval of an existing prescription. They suggested optional medications which I'm confused why they won't let my physician make that decision for me. Try calling them is a joke. You get passed around and the last person barely speaks English and admitted to me that they're in the Philippines. I left United healthcare advantage plan and already I'm regretting it.
I was supposed to get lower cost on medications and higher coverages for dental etc. go in with your eyes open!

This review is regarding the Humana TV advertisement that has been airing for the past few months. I see it a lot while watching NewsMax Plus. The ad is very annoying due to the "ding. ding, ding" that continually plays in the background throughout the entire ad. I work from home and the "ding, ding, ding" noise sounds exactly like an incoming call on my computer through Microsoft Teams. This alone guarantees I will never have Humana Insurance. If you listen to this obnoxious, distracting unnecessary noise you will understand where I am coming from.

DO NOT TRUST
I verified my medications directly with Humana, NOT A 3RD PARTY, and they verified all were free or minimal cost. THEY LIED! MY 2 MAIN NECESSARY FOR MIGRAINE ARE NOW COMPLETELY DENIED.
They claim there is nothing they can do and claim they will investigate. Nothing to investigate - they are NOT to be trusted!
I will go back to Cigna when I have a chance
