Charged twice after cancelling
I was charged $97 twice after leaving the IAMBUILDERS community on Skool. I sent multiple emails with no response for weeks. After escalating and threatening a bank dispute, they refunded one month but refused to refund the other.
Their cancellation process is deliberately unclear. The cancellation link is not shown during signup, not mentioned when you leave the group, and only accessible if you know where to look. When I raised this, their support told me a video explaining cancellation plays when you leave the group, I never saw any such video.
Rather than making this right they chose to argue about whether their cancellation process was clear instead of simply refunding a $97 charge to a customer who left their community. That tells you everything about how they treat people.
I have fully documented this experience including email correspondence, screen recordings, and bank statements and will be filing a complaint with the FTC.
If you are considering joining this community be aware that cancelling is not as simple as leaving the group and support will not respond until you threaten a chargeback.
Daniel's response to my refund request was dismissive and showed a complete lack of integrity. It became clear that this community exists primarily to funnel members into his paid estimating business rather than provide genuine value. When a customer raises a legitimate billing concern the character of a business owner is revealed in how they respond. Daniel's response revealed plenty.
