While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Business owners BEWARE

Business owners BEWARE.

I bought a list from ID Global Data for “Gift, Novelty, and Souvenir Stores Decision-Makers”. Their policy is, "you will receive 100% verified emails and phones. In case you receive any bounce, bad, or irrelevant contacts, will be replaced for free of cost."

The following is what happened:

1) After delivery, I pointed out irrelevant contacts on TWO occasions. On the THIRD delivery, I reviewed 2,267 contacts one by one. Only 342 were actually gift shops, leaving me with only 15% usable contacts. The other companies were: candy, nuts, architecture, adoption, churches, craft stores, random stores with the name "craft", party stores, and chocolate.

2) A handful of their contacts are completely mislabeled, showing a gift-related company name, but the URL and email addresses say differently. This is at best poor data filters, but at worst, it's fraudulent to try to make contacts look relevant to your industry.

3) A handful of the URLs didn't actually go to a live site of any sort. Again, poor data cleaning.

4) Of the 342 contacts that WERE relevant I sent a small test. Over 200 of the emails BOUNCED.

All of this information was communicated with evidence and screenshots to Mark at IDGlobal Data. I gave a deadline for resolution, but I was met with silence. Do NOT work with this company in any way. I wish I never did. Unfortunately, based on what unfolded I believe this company is a scam.
