A decade ago, this was a great email service. I left several years ago, because of frequent email glitches, impossible to contact inbox support, and lack of proper security certificates. Could never find out what country the new owners are based. That should be available. Much Much happier with ProtonMail!!!

I was very impressed by the assistance…
I was very impressed by the assistance rendered by Eva.
I had managed to get myself locked out of my account and having failed to resolve the issue approached inbox.
Their response was prompt and the matter was rectified expeditiously.
Check CAPS LOCK key first!
I was traveling out of town with my iPad and a wireless keyboard I was unfamiliar with and did not notice the CAPS LOCK was engaged. A couple of log in attempts and my account would not open, my password was not accepted. I contacted support, Eva, and she reset my password, and I promptly locked the account by too many attempts to sign in with the password I had been given (because the CAPS LOCK was still on!). She was excellent in getting my account unlocked once again and patiently working through MY issue to get me back on line. DE-Stress complete!
I have been an inbox.com user for more…
I have been an inbox.com user for more than 10 years.I had multiple email addresses with them. For some reason all the accounts were deleted without my consent or knowledge of the deletion. My primary account was "updated" by the company recently and most of my emails were deleted by the company, even the folders I had saved.I paid the full fee again even before the due date.Have not been able to sign in since.I have sent numerous emails to their support site with no reply.I am to the point of reporting them as a fraudulent company if I do not hear from them soon.

I have used INBOX for 15 years
I have used INBOX for 15 years. Now that they have new owners half the people that email me get a bounce back message. They insist that the senders must take it up with their email provider but it's obvious the issue is with INBOX not with COX, COMCAST, JUNO, GMAIL, on and on.
Their customer service simply declares not our doing and dismisses the issue. I will be using POP to download all the email in my account and then I will go with another email. Can't believe I'm actually considering GMAIL at this point.

I have had inbox for 15+ years - I deleted!
I have had inbox for 15+ years. Had photos and other documents stored on the service. Then recently they were bought and automatically deleted everything except some of the emails. Some of the emails that were stored were deleted. They never provided a way to obtain this information. It was just deleted. I cancelled the service and recommend you stay away as the new company seems to be pretty bad.

A sound Utility
Hello,
I have been using Inbox.com for years. It works, yes, it works, There are additional functionality for those who are curious, I have used some of this as evidential proof which I have not seen on the free email providers I used to use.
There has been a change in ownership to northern Europe in the last few months so I will see if they leave it alone or screw it up.
Hello,
This is an update 8th October 2023.
New experience for me is not good, lots of loss of functionality.

Awful Service
I had been with Inbox.com for a number of years and started with a Free account. Never really had a problem back then and everything just worked.
They started charging, first £8 a year and then a massive jump for £30. I didn't want the hassle of changing my main account so kept paying. Then the service started becoming unreliable and finally ended up without email on the account due to a server issue for a week. A week of no access to email, no one could email me and even worse the customer service was awful. No one knew what was going on for days until I managed to find out they were restoring data due to a server issue. I would expect in this scenario some down time while a backup solution was implemented but a week?!! No apologies, nothing.
I used the rest of my subscription to move over to a different to service and backed up my old email to a PST just in case.
They only care when it's time to renew. This was my experience, you have been warned.
Horrible service
Horrible service - they haven't responded to several assistance request tickets I've submitted. I sometimes receive emails hours or days after they were sent. Payment options are limited to PayPal.

Selective Scammers, No Support, Avoid!
Closing accounts permanently with emails that are non recoverable. No support. Do Not Use!!!
Expensive & Awful Service.
Very Expensive.
Have to write your own spam filters
I cannot get them to cancel my account
nor will they give me back my money

Overpriced and unfair.
Inbox used to be ok, pretty ok for a free service, last year they started charging £8 per year which was fair enough. This year they sent me email saying they will terminate my account if I don’t pay £30 a year which is just unfair and unjustified imo.

Terrible service
Terrible service. Terrible support. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Feel bad giving them even one star.

worst email company EVER
blocked my account without giving me the chance to explain anything. AVOID at all cost. go with any the big free email companies like hotmail or gmail or iCloud as they are free and have better customer services. If I could give minus stars I would.
Gary.
Dont think I need a paid for email service, so no I wont be giving you another chance.

Inbox.com was once a good free service, but now fallen through the cracks, like a sack of you know what?
Inbox.com was once a good free, email service (I have had the same account now for almost ten years) but since Inbox.com blocked my email account/IMAP server for no valid reason, I have nothing but negative things to say about this particular company. I have lost years worth of emails, and my only saving grace is that I can still get last month's emails via my smart phone (which operates via fixed internet Wi-Fi and and not through a cable server (and for this reason) inbox.com cannot block my access to my emails) but this company is so unscrupulous, they have gone as far as to block my IMAP server, so I cannot set up another email account that uses IMAP (I have got around this by going to an email provider that still uses POP 3) Shame on you inbox.com. What appalling behaviour and disinterest you have customers that have used your service for almost a decade. Just to make one more thing clear, I am a 47 year old social worker and not a 19 year old hacker from Moscow, so treating me in this way is just not good business practice. Finally remember, good news travels fast, but bad press, well that goes everywhere!

Paid service worse than when it was free. Please avoid!!!!
This is one of the worst email providers I've ever used, free or not. There's been extremely spotty service in the past, and missing emails as well, but they claimed that when they started charging people that it would be a lot better. Not only has it not been better, it's been noticeably worse! For the entire last 3 days now I can't even access my email, and I've yet to get a single response from their support team. I have a flight receipt and other important stuff in there and if I miss my flight I'm wondering if I'll be able to take any legal action. In any event, please save yourself the potential headache later and stay as far away from this service as possible!!!

Very rude customer service
Don't use Inbox as its customer service is non existant.
My email account got hacked into and Inbox.com were extremely unhelpful in regards to helping me get my own account back and restore it.
There customer service is pretty much non existant.
They state they will reply back to your email within two days however you are lucky if they reply back within a week. Then after you send them a reply back to their email, you then have to wait another week before they will reply to you again! And on and on.
You will be very "lucky" if you get the matter resolved in a MONTH-if at all.
On top of that, their customer service reps are extremely rude, unhelpful and unpleasant to deal with.
There are many more reliable email providers who value their clients so I recommend using them & avoiding Inbox.com altogether.
