We won't use Indiegogo ever again.
We recently made a contribution through Indiegogo to PLX devices and then subsequently requested a refund within the refund request cut off date published by Indiegogo. Even though the request was before the published end date they said we had to take it up with the campaign owner. The campaign owners then took 3 weeks to process and reject the refund request stating it was out of time, even though the original request was in time. Both parties do not answer any direct questions when you challenge them with a breach of terms. Indiegogo's main concern is to try and absolve themselves of all responsibility. It's a shame because I believe in the concept but from all the dissatisfied customers and questionable business ethics going on via their platform I think a new platform with an honest consumer centric approach will soon dominate the crowdfunding space. And this is only one of the campaigns that we are left out of pocket with.

Really not a great company so far, I have asked so many times to put my campaign back into draft (Isobel horror film) and they said they would but haven't. None existent support when I have paid for Indiegogo premium also. Complete money grabbing.

Buyers beware, no protection from scams, no real validation
Buyers beware, I was scammed on a campaign. Money went out, updates stopped coming and Indiegogo facilitated the robbery of $125,000 from about 1,000 people. What came out of the investigation was basically that the company had done no due diligence on the campaign funder, provided no assistance in getting in contact and told everyone to pound sand. Do not use this company. They didn't even refund my "indiegogo tip".

Do not invest anyoney on that platform. They simple don't care about backers they only collect money from campaign owners. I'm like ment others in a situation where campaign looks like fraud. Campaign owner collected around 400 000EUR and there is no support from Indiegogo to sort out that issue. Each backers lost minimum 350eur and nobody cares...

NEVER trust Indiegogo - scammed and NO support
One should never trust a campains on Indiegogo. (Well, almost no campaign). Their platform is within their knowlegd being abused by scammers. Once they collect the money, they disappear. Backers that express critical reactions are marked as 'refunded', but they never get the money. They do this because that way, you no longer can react on the campain site. So it's impossible for backers to stay in touch and react. And Indiegogo does not care at all. There is no support at all, just standard 'go away' answers, just like the one they post under every bad review here. They do not care for the crowdfunding-idea at all, only for the profit they make on transactions. So even criminal activities are allowed within their policy. They show no shame, and leave many backers disappointed and with a disbelief in crowdfunding. Indiegogo's policy should be judged in a court of law! A shame for all that is about crowdfunding! (and @Indiegogo: thank you in advance for the standard answer you will post below)

Paid for 5 projects a total of around 500 euro and only one was send (70 USD) don't use this platform. Use kickstarter instead, more reliable.

I have contacted Phillips multiple times and their customer service is nonexistent. I would not recommend dealing with this company. They used my money for their production, and they could care less about who I am.

Deeply flawed Philips product
This product is unfortunately deeply flawed and feels like it was released unfinished. Apps fail to open, or crash instantly, video doesn’t stream despite the internet speed being confirmed to be fine. Sometimes without warning, it actually does work, but no one can pinpoint why.
After months of speaking with customer support and raising tickets and sharing videos of the issues I’m still left waiting for a magic “firmware update” that will address all the problems that have made this until now a very inconsistent performer and most often useless. It’s been frustrating that there has been no solution offered other than “wait a few more weeks me we think until you can use what we sold you”
I really am hopeful for a fix soon. It’s been a poor purchase.

All the customs forms should have been done at the time of shipping. Put the product in a plain brown wrapper next time. Endless problems with all the laser references on the outside of the box had the FDA in a tizzy

This company does nothing to protect…
This company does nothing to protect backers from being scammed. Even when the company has clearly broken their own terms of service they allow them to continue victimizing new backers. I’ve sent them ample evidence that a project on their platform was being dishonest and they just keep telling everyone “we’re investigating that issues” but never do anything and allow them to keep doing business taking peoples money. Go to another platform instead, this company doesn’t care if you are being scammed whatsoever!

I believe IndieGoGo are just a multiplier for fraud.. they take no responsibility, but cream off a percentage. Having been screwed out of $10k, I will never use this site again, and I really, really urge people to steer clear of it and it's hundreds on BS campaigns. I've had three that delivered nothing. Bottom line - companies that have genuine, novel products will appear with them in their hand, able to be order and delivered... Not "jam tomorrow"...

It is legal to charge shipping and not at least refund the shipping portion?
I understand not all products come to fruition, but a campaign charged shipping and won't even refund that. Indiegogo would not help. Indiegogo needs to be better about protecting its users from scammers. I will not use this platform ever again.

This company is terrible, they take zero responsibility after their campaigns literally steel millions of dollars from thousands of people. I will NEVER contribute to anything on their site ever again. A campaign I contributed to in 10/2019 has never sent my item, or even responded. In comparition to Kickstarter has Indiegogo very bad customer support experience. I crowdfunded Ring One. They don't check backround of the companies, they don't care about scammy behavior, they don't care about lies and misscommunication of the company, they don't care about many complains of the backers. They care only for the money. Nothing else. It's my last project I crowdfunded at Indiegogo.
