KarranA is a very calm, patient, and understanding person. I really appreciate the way KarranA handled all of my requests. Donnie in tech support was very patient…

Donnie in tech support was very patient with me as I learned, from him, how to set up a sub domain and add an A Record for Cloudflare. I can't say everyone at InMotionHosting has been as patient and informative as Donnie but he was great! Huge help to someone still learning this stuff.

Website hack issue resolved quickly!

The primary reason I have been an InMotionHosting customer for 15+ years is their technical support via chat, phone and email. The support team is responsive and able to resolve my issues in one session. My latest experience related to resolving a malware plugin that prevented a website from loading, and redirected to some Asian soda product. Excellent service as always! Eric Mc was my tech support person on this issue. Thank you!

Inmotionhotsting.com - Formal Complaint Regarding Support Experience and Unresolved Server Issues

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the support I recently received regarding ongoing issues with my server and website.

I have been experiencing timeout errors on and contacted your support team for assistance. During my interaction with Stephen Ma, I found his responses to be unhelpful, dismissive, and unprofessional. Rather than investigating the issue or attempting to provide technical assistance, I was simply told by Stephen Ma he could not help me because he is not trained. Why do you hire support agents to waste customers time when they cannot resolve a simple issue?

I recently paid over USD $400.00 for a new server and was specifically advised that all settings from my previous server would be migrated and configured appropriately. Given this investment and the assurances provided at the time of purchase, I expected a reasonable level of support in troubleshooting issues that have arisen following the migration.

When I requested that my case be escalated or transferred to another support representative, I was informed that this could not be done. As a customer seeking assistance with an active service issue, I found this response unacceptable.

At this point, my issue remains unresolved.

Escalation of my complaint to a senior technical support representative or manager.

Review of the customer service provided during my interaction with Stephen Ma.

I have been unable to obtain meaningful assistance through normal support channels and would appreciate prompt attention to this matter. Please provide an update as soon as possible regarding the status of the investigation and the steps being taken to resolve these issues.

A domain transfer problem & a certificate problem

I was having a problem transferring my website to InMotion. I thought I had exposed my "admin email", or at least lookup.icann.org / en / lookup made me think I had (they list "contact email", not "admin email"). Jeremy pointed me to tucowsdomains.com / whois-result and with it's much clearer labeling I can see that my "admin email" was not exposed.

In checking my website I found that it was actually serving up webpages so we started working on the next problem. My website uses JavaScript to detect bots, but it wasn't working. Using Chrome's Developer Tools he noticed a certificate error, which I thought was due to not owning a dedicated SSL certificate. Jeremy said no, and then noticed my code was using my IP address instead of my domain name (that's another story). Once I updated my code to use my domain name instead of my IP address the JavaScript code was working meaning my website was working! Jeremy helped me solve every problem I was having!
