The hotels exceeded our expectations. The itinerary was so easy to follow. We didn’t get lost using the suburban and bullet trains (which is amazing for me)! All the arrangements went so smoothly. The tour guides were great too. I’d definitely use Inside Japan Tours next time plan a visit to Japan.

We thought the Japan Unmasked tour was very well planned and executed. The tour leader was superb, the accommodations were very well located and there was a good balance of organised time versus free time. We visited a lot of interesting places. We can't wait to return to Japan.

All phone calls and emails before and after booking our tour with Inside Japan UK were dealt with quickly, efficiently and in a friendly manner. It was our first trip to Japan and we had a lot of questions all of which were dealt with very quickly and we never felt pressurised to book before we were ready to do so.

Our tour guide Hannan was AMAZING, simply outstanding in every way. Not only was she extremely knowledgeable in Japanese history, culture, food and people, she was also such a kind person and very fun too. Hannan is also very well organized and detail oriented which made everything go smoothly and without a hitch. Our security was always at the top of her mind. She made sure we made the best use of our time and saw everything we could. She has soooo much energy and was always ready to show us more. The tour is well designed for you to really get a great picture of Japan and the group size was just right. I would happily do any of the other tours this company offers and will be sure to book with Inside Japan if I go back to Japan.

We absolutely loved our Must-See Japan tour with Hanan!
The tour was fast paced, but absolutely amazing. We saw Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka and then Tokyo again. It could not have been better!
Our tour guide, Hanan, was an absolute rockstar and so knowledgeable. She always had information for us, kept us on time for trains and busses, gave us options and free time if we wanted, made suggestions on what to see on our own, had recommendations for restaurants, and was the kindest, most patient, and most fun person ever. Our group was wonderful and we all became friends! Thank you Inside Japan! 🥰

I just returned from Japan after participating in the Must-See Japan tour. What an amazing experience! Not only for everything we saw and did which was absolutely incredible but also due to our spectacular guide, Hanan, who kept us moving, shared her in-depth knowledge of everything related to Japan, and showered us with kindness. I couldn't have asked for a better experience or had a better guide. (Not having to pay a single supplement was also a plus. Just be prepared to walk up to 20,000 steps a day!)

We recently returned from a Small Group Tour with InsideJapan Tours, and it was an absolute whirlwind of an experience in the best possible way. The itinerary was expertly crafted, taking us from the neon lights of Tokyo to the serene onsens and tatami mats of Hakone, the historic streets of Kyoto, the moving sights of Hiroshima, and the culinary heart of Osaka.

What truly elevated the trip, however, was our guide, Hanan. She was nothing short of incredible. Navigating Japan’s transport system is no small feat (some days involved jumping between six different trains) but Hanan handled the logistics with total precision. Beyond being a logistical genius, she was kind, generous, and deeply informative. She didn't just show us the sights; she taught us the language, the etiquette, and ensured we were eating the very best local food at every stop.

A wonderful and unexpected highlight was the group dynamic. We met some truly lovely people from all over the world, which made the shared meals and long travel days so much more enjoyable. It really felt like we were exploring the country with friends.

If you’re looking for a fast-paced, authentic, and stress-free way to see Japan, I cannot recommend this tour company, and Hanan specifically, highly enough. We came home with full hearts, full stomachs, and amazing memories.

InsideJapan Tours took the time to speak with me to understand my wants and needs for our trip, along with what my families interests were before creating our packet. They used what they learned to build a package specific to my families wishes and gave many options to appealed to our interests. I couldn’t have built the vacation we experienced on my own. From the location of our hotel, to the plans being made and tickets being purchased, it was a dream come true.

Our tour organiser Ali was excellent at helping me finalise our routes for our 25 day trip, booking flights and transport, and choosing and booking accommodation which perfectly met our needs (we had a wheelchair user in our party). We had a wonderful trip as a result, helped by knowing we had the efficient Inside Japan team on the ground in Japan for any queries or difficulties however small. They were brilliant at sorting little queries e.g. taxi availability and information places we were visiting, and challenges such as my husband leaving his kindle on the plane on our way out there. They sorted picking it up from lost luggage at the airport and forwarding it to our next hotel so it was waiting for us when we arrived. Cannot recommend them highly enough. For myself, who was the main carer for my daughter (the wheelchair user), knowing we had support at hand just made the whole trip much less stressful.

Seamless, brilliant, exciting, and wonderful are just a few words to describe the trip that was organized for the 4 of us through the North of Japan.

All of the locations, accommodation, and travel were so well put together that we could navigate through Nikko, Sendai, Kakunodate, and Tokyo with ease.

If there were any questions we had regarding anything, the WhatsApp line was answered within 5 minutes every time.

I strongly recommend this company if you are going to Japan.

If there were 10 stars, I would give them to them.

I will be booking my next trip to Cambodia and Vietnam through Inside Asia next!

Jess Dobbs help was wonderful and I am still remembering her help, advice and our wonderful holiday 6months on. In actual fact we have been talking again about possibility of another trip. Recommend self guided adventure and although 17 days sounded a long time it flys past and you'll wish you had more.

A perfect blend of structure provided by the company and all of the travel well organized.... but fun for us to do on our own. Our travel advisor listened very closely and then created an itinerary based very succinctly on our travel style and goals. Periodic guide services were excellent, as well as the information on the cities and sites that we could visit. I would travel with inside Japan tours again in a heartbeat !

Support prior to departure was excellent and thorough, especially the detailed notes of each location visited. There was plenty of support provided in nailing down the details of the additional week we wanted after the end of the standard tour.

What an amazing trip from start to finish! The tour offered such a great variety of activities and sites. Our guide, David, really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The accommodations were top-notch, too. It’s hard to pick a favorite part because the whole experience was fantastic. Highly recommend!

This is the second time I’ve used Inside Japan and had two fabulous holidays with them. Last year I was a solo traveler who met the rest of the group in Japan, there was 10 of us and our guide Ed Jones was brilliant. The it itinerary inside Japan used for our trip was outstanding and had such a variety of wonderful sites to see and trips to go on. This year I went with my town Grandsons aged 12 and 10 and again the itinerary was outstanding, I wanted this holiday to cater for the boys and they did a Ninja lesson, we went to watch the sumo wrestlers train whatever I wanted Inside Japan booked us tickets to things and before we left I had a detailed itinerary with everything explained in detail. I wanted to show the boys around so only opted for 2 days with guides both of who were brilliant and catered to the boys wants and needs. I was slightly nervous about navigating Japan on my own but the detailed itinerary of which trains to catch, how to find the tracks, pick ups to go to certain stations and the airport were spot on. I needed to contact the team because I broke the connection of the lead to the WiFi device they lend you and another was sent to the hotel that day. They kept me updated on when it would arrive etc. another time I received an email re the sumo training which needed to be cancelled due to a death but Inside Japan were straight onto rearranging it and keeping me informed about the situation. I couldn’t fault them on anything and will be recommending them to whoever I hear want to visit Japan and if I ever go back, which I’d love to, I will definitely be using them again

We had an absolutely incredible time on the Japan Unmasked tour. From start to finish, our tour guide Hanan was incredible.
She made everyone feel included and welcomed, and somehow kept everything running seamlessly while making every moment fun and engaging. Hanan was extremely knowledgeable, and nothing was ever too much trouble. She went above and beyond at every opportunity.
Her humour, kindness, and genuine warmth brought such a positive energy to each day. It made the whole trip extra special. She is incredibly conscientious and naturally thoughtful, always going the extra mile without it ever feeling forced.
This trip gave me memories I will treasure for a lifetime, and I cannot recommend it highly enough or our guide Hanan.
