Shady credentials and reviews of this company.

This is an unregulated industry in Ontario. Research the owners by their names and city. Not the company. I did and found out a lot. One is no longer certified with CAPHI. None are certified with the CCPIA. Go directly to the certification sites and add each inspectors name. I believe they have hired a company to remove negative google reviews as well because some have disappeared. If you google the owners you will understand. One of the owners has a linked in site that states both owners started the company in 2012. That is false, and it would have been physically not possible for one of the owners.

Inspection Services Group - James Porteous Burlington Ontario

My team is investing in commercial properties in the Hamilton Ontario area. I vetted 4 Companies who claim they are Certified as Commercial Property Inspectors.

Inspection Services Group claims they are, but are not. I checked with the CCPIA and they are not certified with them! I even placed a call to CCPIA who confirmed this. None of their inspectors took or finished their course.

To add to this James Porteous is designated as being certified with CAHPI and Internachi and this is false. If a consumer goes directly to each site they will find he does not exist.

Many positive google reviews making me believe they are bots or friends.

Further to this always google the inspectors individual name and city they work out of not just the company. Jamie Porteous of Burlington.

Do your due diligence to avoid making a bad purchase.
