Hiked Half Deme with this strapped to my pack. Didn't have to touch it the whole way up, just let it record and picked the best angles at home. Battery had juice left for the descent. Way better than hauling a full camera rig and the footage looked way better too.

Excellent repair service. Sent a 4 year old X3 in for a fault repair and received it back as good as new within 1 week. And for a very modest repair charge.

Made the switch from GoPro after a couple years of frustration. The 360 thing took some getting used to since you don't aim it the same way. Once I figured out the workflow, shooting got way easier and editing got more fun. App is decent, not perfect, but it does the job. I still have my old HERO somewhere in a drawer and I haven't picked it up since I got the X5.
Excellent support and smooth replacement process
I had a very positive experience with Insta360 support. The team was responsive, professional, and kept me informed throughout the entire process.
I initially had an issue with an SD card causing recording interruptions, and they handled it efficiently by replacing it. Later, I also used the FlexiCare service after an accidental damage to my camera, and the replacement process was smooth and well managed.
What really stood out was their willingness to help beyond the basic repair, even assisting with small accessories. Communication was clear, and the whole experience felt reliable and customer-focused.
Overall, excellent customer service and a great support experience.

Used it at my kid's birthday party. Being able to throw it on a table and reframe angles later meant everyone actually ended up in the shots for once. That alone made it worth it for me.

Had a question about Lens Guards a week after I got it. Emailed Support and a rep named Alex got back to me the same day with a clear answer. Didn't have to chase anyone, didn't have to repeat myself. Just solid info.

Put it on my helmet for a weekend moto ride. No shake in the footage and my old action cam looks like a potato by comparison. The mount stayed locked through the whole trip, which was my main worry going in.

I ordered an insta360 from pro 2 for my wife’s birthday, she received 2 so I requested to return the one I brought for her. The request was on day 16 of receiving the camera, not realising they have a 15 day return policy, not 30 days like most businesses. However, insta agreed to accept the return for a £35 fee to send the return to Hong Kong from the UK!! The device is still in the sealed box.
This inflated return postage is clearly a scam to prevent people returning devices!!
I would now avoid insta360 given the chance, but if you must buy one of their products - I would NEVER BUY DIRECT, always use Amazon or similar where returns are 30 days and can be sent to a UK address rather than Hong Kong.
Order number INSSGCCD26040811195197513F - incase this review helps stop them ripping me off for return postage.

Package showed up in two days, faster than the estimate. Box was intact, nothing rattling, every accessory accounted for. Zero complaints on that front.
Clean 360 footage.
Took it to Tahoe in February. Cold didn't phase it and I got through a full morning run before the battery started dipping. Stitching on the 360 footage came out clean even with me flailing around. Lens Guards saved me from a couple of faceplants too, worth picking up with it.
I love the product and appreciate the support
I love the product. Amazing idea and execution. When facing issue with my device Insta was fast and precise solving it. Kudos for the customer care as much as for the product itself!

Clip it on my commute bag every morning. Not tiny, but not in the way. App pairing went smooth on the first try, which is more than I can say for most gadgets.
Great customer service
I recently had a problem with my X5 camera, I unfortunately scratched a "lens guard" and I contacted the customer center to understand what to do since I purchased the insta360 care. They contacted me again in a very short time, the email exchanges took place within minutes of each other and in about half an hour I provided the necessary information and they sent me the parts As a free replacement, I received them at home within 5 days and now I am free to use my camera again without any problems.

Using this for travel vlogs and it changed how I shoot. I just film flat and pick angles in the app later, which means less time worrying about composition while I'm actually experiencing the trip. Took a couple of tries to figure out the reframing workflow but it clicked fast.

Horrible customer service
I received a damaged bundle from Insta360 and this company will not provide the shipping label for a return, or offer a refund. I have gone back and forth for two weeks and they don't seem to care to correct the issue.
Insta360 also seems to only display curated reviews. I tried to leave a review on their Creator bundle on their website, but there is no option to. It is April and the last reviews are all five star from January. Odd.
5/7/26: Insta360 public reply below says they would help but radio silence after following up twice, so these are just empty words. Im stuck with a damaged bundle $425+ with no recourse. Haven't received a direct message either. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The flip screen is the feature I use...
The flip screen is the feature I use most. Filming solo content means I actually need to see the frame, and every other camera I've tried makes that harder than it should be. This one doesn't.
