Need help with your photgraphy. Institute of Photography is the place to go
Have just finished my online photography course with Institute of Photography and if you want to improve your photos my advice would be to join. The course is well laid out with loads of feedback available from course advisers. There is also a forum where you can upload photos and other members can give advice and help which really helps. Even though i have finished the course am going to using the forum for advice and help with my shots
Great course for any beginner or intermediate photographer.
The course is very well structured and easy to follow. The technical aspects are explained fully, and in a way that any complete novice can follow. The feedback you get from the tutors is amazing and highly valuable.
A great course to take at your own pace
A great course that you can take at your own pace, it seemed to move through logically from the basics to the more advanced, and I'm sure I will continue to get more from the course even after finishing it (I intend to work through it again, so having continued access is good). Look out/wait for the special offers though as I feel that the full price is probably too much. Has definitely improved my knowledge, skill and enjoyment of photography.
It is amazing what you can get about photography in simple way
I was fascinated about how much you can learn about photography in a simple way.I am more than satisfied and would definitely recommend to everyone interested in it. You will never know how much it can give knowledge if not try it yourself.
Helpful, informative and inspiring!!
Found this course through a social media offer. Have been a keen amateur photographer for a little while and thought it was time to get some guidance and training to help improve my pictures. This course, combined with other resources I was studying, helped me make sense of the 'jargon' involved in this field and understand not only what something may mean but also how this can affect the photograph one may take. There was quite a few eureka moments throughout the units, when I would suddenly understand what certain settings or symbols on my camera would mean. As with any course, some parts were more informative than others, and also more appropriate to what I wanted to learn and explore. Having said that, after finishing course I did find myself revisiting certain units as my photography skills had moved on and I was feeling confident to attempt new challenges. My only concern is that the course is advertised as costing £400 which is way too expensive, but it always seems to be on offer for an eighth of the price which is a fair price to pay.
This is a great photography course, well structured and concise but really applicable to practice.
If your thinking of improving your photography knowledge and skills and wanting to go into a course, this is the one for you. It contains all the basic elements of how to improve your photography. The theories are very well explained and succinctly. The chapters flow in a orderly and sensible way. I have learned a lot from this course and some questions, I have are answered as I go through it. It has some assignments to promote learning and I just find it very helpful even for those who have been shooting for a long while. Would recommend this course to anyone whose serious of getting more out of their photography and their valuable gears.
Fantastic way to either start off, or refine your present photographic skills.
An interactive, online diploma, that could be undertaken by experienced photographers as a refresher, or by people new to the subject. The information coverage is decent and the feedback given by the tutors for assignments fantastic. The latter alone made undertaking this diploma worth every moment, in my opinion. I do not hesitate to highly recommend it to anyone interested.

Great digital photography course for those seeking to improve or coming from film.
The course was logically laid out and pitched at a level where I didn't feel intimidated but with enough information to make it very useful. I have just returned to photography from a predominantly film background and felt it was time to come up to the 21st century. The course showed me how the digital age can enhance my photographic abilities and gave me confidence to go out and buy a good digital camera with the knowledge that it will give me the results that I desire.

great course, definitely recommend!
Very in-depth course, lots of detail and very well explained. The only criticism i had stopping this being a 5* review, was that in the tests there was sometimes some ambiguous terminology which forced a mistake, but was easily rectifiable.

Great for beginners
I really enjoyed the course and it answered a lot of questions I had about how to control my DSLR camera settings. I feel more confident to go out and take good photos.

Exceeded my expectations for an online training course.
I took the advanced diploma in photography and feel that my photography has improved significantly as a result. The assessed assignments were particularly beneficial in providing constructive, honest feedback. I liked that you could complete the course in a time scale to suit yourself and I feel like I've joined a photography community with access to chat rooms and forums.
I would recommend this course and would definitely consider other courses offered by the institute.

Well worth the time
I found this very useful to study at my own pace. It is much less intimidating to learn this way versus joining a formal Class, which I probably would have shied away from due to inexperience of DSLR photography.
Also the course material is there whenever I feel the need for a refresher.

A course to give you confidence
I took this course because I enjoyed photography but didn't feel that I was getting the best out of my SLR camera. The course was just right. It taught me to use the manual settings on the camera which I had tried to use before without much success. The course notes are written very clearly and good examples given. Feedback on your photographs is given by the course tutor and fellow students through the forums. I thoroughly recommend this course to anyone.

Excellent recommendable course
The course is full of information on photography techniques and examples of them. Each unit has a short test at the end for you to get involved and review what you have learnt. 100% worth the money!

A good course to improve knowledge
This course has allowed me to expand my SLR knowledge and will hopefully improve the number of good shots I manage to capture. It has been useful to understand how the changing of settings affect the overall shot taken.

Stimulating and Encouraging Coursework
I heartily recommend the Diploma in Photography as a suitable course for beginners or as a jumping off course for more advanced photographers wanting to take the advanced diploma. I particularly appreciated the very speedy responses from the course organisers to my queries.

Top notch course!
The course is full of detail on each and every section of how to take better photographs in many different situations! I am a beginner to photography so all this was very new to me but with a thorough explanation of all the simple functions of the DSLR Camera, I can now take more professional photographs rather than just point and clicking at the scene I wanted to shoot! I'm still getting to grips with editing my shots but with more practice and looking back at my notes on this unit I'm sure I'll get the hang of it! All in all, a great course for new photographs.

Good course, well structured
I really enjoyed this course, and I particularly liked being able to complete it at my own speed. There are a lot of example pictures to illustrate and inspire, and a healthy number of questions to test your new found knowledge.
