Supplied sub-standard PIR insulation boards - refused to replace or compensate - cant be trusted
Insulation4less supplied me with substandard Celotex boards. They had edges which curve inwards - are concave - meaning I have to cut them down in order to get them snug to each other. Its a lot more labour and I lose some board. I pointed this out to them and sent photographic evidence, and still have some of the boards, but they are not interested. They say I didn't inform them soon enough, but the manufacturer's stamp on the boards shown in the delivery photo they took match that on the boards, so they cannot deny that they delivered the faulty boards.
They claim that the boards became deformed because they got damp because they were stored outside. However a) most builders store boards outside before using them, and b) boards often get wet after installed, for instance from leaks in a roof, condensation etc. Therefore normal quality PIR insulation boards do not become deformed when they get damp. Clearly there is something wrong with these boards.
I suppose I trusted Insulation4less and assumed I would get normal boards. Insulation4less have no understanding of ethics - they are happy to get away with supplying substandard boards. They also have no idea of the law - they think it is legal to supply substandard boards. Therefore if you want good quality boards and good customer service, go to a different company.

Thank you for your review however we must disagree with what you have said on this occasion.
We delivered your order on 29th January, we have sent you the photograph taken by the driver on the day of delivery with the boards wrapped in good condition. You did not report any issue to us until almost a month later on 26th February. The photographs you sent to us were of the boards stored outdoors with no covering or protection, this would be why they have cupped at the edges.
You then advised us that you had used some of the boards but you were not happy with the remaining boards and would like them replaced.
As stated in our terms of delivery, all irregularities must be noted on delivery paperwork immediately on arrival or, via email to deliveries@insulation4less.co.uk within 24 hours. Therefore we have also advised you in previous email correspondence to contact the manufacturer directly in regards to this matter.
Sheets as flat as a banana
Delivery time wasn’t too bad, chose the Celotex to get the best U value. Out of 15 sheets half arrived about as straight as a banana. Just about to order again for the walls but won’t be using these 🤬

Failed Delivery: Project Delayed and a Day Wasted
We ordered 100m2/100kg of loft insulation from Insulation4less, specifically chosing the company, and paying a £30 premium, as they promised delivery in time for our planned project start.
A week after placing the order the delivery had not arrived. This disrupted our project: we had arranged a team of 3 people to install the insulation on that day.
It took a long sequence of phone calls and emails to a customer service call centre (over a period of 7 hours) to finally reach a manager who could track down the missing delivery.
Insulation finally delivered 8 days after placing and paying for the order.
At my request a refund of the £60 delivery fee was provided.

Thank you for your review and feedback. We apologise for the delay in your order reaching you, the delivery was scheduled for the 19th February, within 3 working days of your order being placed. However, there was an issue with the driver finding the property so the delivery had to be re-scheduled.
Unfortunately, we were not advised of this and therefore, when you called to check on the delivery status it took a number of hours to investigate what had occurred with the depot as delays can occur on occasion.
Once the issue was established, delivery was rearranged for the following day. In relation to a delivery refund, our Customer Service Manager has now been in touch with you directly to arrange.
As per our terms and conditions, we strongly recommend not to book any trades people to carry out work until after you have received your order in full as delays outside of our control can occur.

We have made several orders from this company recently and all have been fulfilled with fast delivery. We found the pricing very competitive too :-).
