Professional - fair & prompt.

Claimed for blocked drains at holiday villa. Dealt with swiftly & professionally. Despite it being technically possible to deny the claim using small print - they didn’t. Paid out promptly.
Very good experience.

The new system scam........

Avoid this company....following Brexit our French house insurers were unable to continue cover as our principal residence is outside the EU. I had a quote from intasure who rang for the business virtually every day. I explained that I needed written confirmation from my current French Insurer that i was no longer in a contract with them. I received that and was ready to buy the product when I fell victim to "the new system scam" and the price went up by £80. I am glad I didnt do business with them....look at their reviews

Would not recommend

As we all know, you never know the worth of your insurance company until, you need to submit a claim. Having been with Intasure for several years, we needed to claim for storm damage. Unsurprisingly the claim was denied. Would not recommend

Excellent service received from Intasure

Owning a holiday home abroad is not something one should aspire to unless you are going to use it more than just a couple of times a year and you are prepared for the unexpected charges involved in owning a property in the UK or abroad.

One of the most important costs is of course property insurance and it is obviously vital to select an insurance company you can rely on to pay up when things go wrong.

When we originally bought our holiday home in Mallorca it was insured by the previous owners with a Spanish company so we continued with the same company for several years, despite the policy and all documentation being written in Spanish, a language which we were conversant with but not good enough for anything technical. As premiums increased each year we decided to investigate insuring with a British company and discovered Intasure, whose premiums were cheaper and additionally documents were all in English.

Back in 2018 a major storm flooded parts of Mallorca and our house suffered considerable damage. We duly contacted Intasure to inform them, wondering if this was the start of a nightmare, as so often happens with less reputable insurance companies, or our claim would be sympathetically handled, which turned out to be the case. Intasure arranged for a Loss Adjustor from Mainland Spain, who spoke perfect English, to meet us at the house and he carefully made a detailed and thorough assessment of the damage caused by the flooding.

It took three years to finalise the claim, through no fault of the Loss Adjustor or Intasure, but as a result of substantial repairs having to be carried out by builders and other workmen. In addition long delays were caused by the Covid pandemic which prevented us from travelling to Mallorca to oversee the final work to be completed, the installation of new air-conditioning units. The Loss Adjustor/Intasure were extremely fair and payments were made in instalments as money was needed to pay the builders and workmen. Intasure did not quibble about any of the costs, which we tried to keep as reasonable as possible, and our claim was settled in full a few months ago.

Thanks to Intasure the insurance nightmare never materialised and we would certainly recommend them to other holiday home owners requiring a reputable insurance company.

Successful Oil Leak Claim - Traumatic

It took 131 days from making a successful claim to work starting on my property, for which I had an Instasure Holiday Home policy. Intasure and their partners dragged their heels at every stage of the process, despite the serious nature of the oil leak, and I only ever got the attention I required after making 2 formal complaints. The work on my property took months and I was asked to pay for equipment such as electric heaters out of pocket to ensure the pipes wouldn't freeze over winter, for which they then took 57 days to reimburse me. The property was uninhabitable for more than half a year (no hot water, toxic oil fumes, ripped out kitchen), but this insurance policy paid out £0 in compensation and wormed their way out of their 'lost income' clause. The whole process was traumatic, and for the extra kick-in the teeth Intasure made me renew my policy during their works at a much higher premium because I'd made a claim. Sickening service.

Pestering

I contacted this company for a quote on home insurance and it was a big mistake. They now keep contacting me from different numbers - which I block, and now spamming me with text messages.

Avoid Avoid Avoid

Avoid Avoid Avoid! Costs forever going up year by year. Ridiculous hidden charges for “administration” etc. Contacting them gets a “take it or leave it” response. Leave it! Much better value out there.

No Payouts for Business Interuption Insurance. Stay away from these guys.

Having been with this insruance company for a couple of years, I opted for the business inturption / income loss insurance. Following covid and the latest case studies conducted from the supreme court, I placed a fair and reasonable insurance claim. As expected and in line with the reviews on this site, the claim was denied and as I work in financial services will be having this decision reviewed and a complaint lodged with the financial authority.

I would suggest from my experience and the feel from this company, you pay a large amount for insurance and there is nothing worse than worrying in the event of accident, disaster or major business interuption that the insurer does not pay. I would suggest staying away and looking for a more reputable service even if it costs more.

I would shudder to think what would happen if there was a fire or else.... im sure they would find away not to award a claim.

I had been with Intasure about 14…

I had been with Intasure about 14 years. Never had a claim ever. My 2020 quote from them again had gone up by 8%(large increase eh?) Looking at previous years it seems to go up 8% (approx) every year. Seems a bit shifty to me, so I phoned them and the guy offered me £15 discount !! So I didn't renew and the agent wasn't bothered. Despite me being a loyal customer for some 14 years. An internet search engine in Jan21 again pushed me to intasure. This years quote was the same as last years which I refused but no 8% increase. Very odd. Looking at what they wanted me to pay stated 'Local Tax ' £32.85? Whats this 'local tax ?Local to who/where ? And Admin Fee £55 why do I need to pay admin fee they had kept my details from previous years. Does your car insurer charge admin fees?. So....go with them if you happy to pay 8% extra each and every year. Having never had a claim ive no idea just what they are like if you need to claim. so cant comment. But reading others comments here its not reading good. Oh P.S. I only wanted earthquake cover for the house not contents.

Avoid this company

With Intasure for 13 years for a holiday property in Turkey. I was happy to pay double (compared to locally) to deal with a british company thinking it would pay dividends in the event of a claim.
They did pay out, (£5000 for a new kitchen) but doubled the renewal quote to £1000, for 80K rebuild cost and 15K contents!!!
Have now insured with a Turkish company who speak good english for 20% of the renewal quote.
Because the Dask insurance had a different start date and had been renewed a few days before, Intasure cancelled the Dask because we declined to renew. Dask is a standalone mandatory Turkish government earthquake insurance. Just spiteful.
You only find out how good a company is in the event of problem/claim.
Do not believe expensive premiums equals good service.
Avoid

Sly and underhand company

Intasure sent a renewal letter that stated "the premium" for renewal and that renewal would be automatic (despite my asking not to do this). Turned out - buried in the small print - that the actual payment would be nearly 40% higher. Told them I thought this was underhand and got a careless "we always do that" response. Not a trustworthy attitude or behaviour.
