Interexec provided extensive personal guidance, and helped me to connect to their great and strong executive search network. It definitely felt as a big advantage to have warm connections and relevant experts.

Interexec was also a source of valuable information and guidance during the negotiations and determining which offer to pursue.

Interexec has been an outstanding partner in my professional journey. Their tailored career guidance, strategic insight, and deep understanding of the executive market truly set them apart. The team is exceptionally professional, discreet, and genuinely committed to helping senior executives achieve their career goals. I highly recommend Interexec to anyone seeking a trusted advisor for high-level career transitions.

Having had some limited experience of this company, I suggest anyone thinking of doing business with Interexec do their research very carefully.

Their business model is that you pay £300 an hour for them to "represent you" but there is absolutely no guarantee that they will find you a job. I was talking to someone who had paid Interexec £18k with nothing to show for it. There are plenty of similar stories on the web. Look for yourself.

Their web site is glossy and full of vague promises and statements, none of which they back up.

I have seen positive reviews of them but if you look into them, they are all from people who registered simply to leave one 5* review and have never reviewed anything else. It's the same on Reddit and here on Trustpilot.

Do your own research and be sceptical before handing over any money.

I realized a positive experience with a recent job search thru Interexec. I derived the most value from knowing they were working their network and exercising their expertise while I could focus on other things. This was the real benefit for me. I am not a recruitment pro, nor do I find fulfillment from scanning the job boards or battling filtering automation. Their service allowed me to consider an opportunity presented, while they continued to explore and make connections on my behalf.

I have used InterExec on two occasions and have been extremely satisfied with their services. They have been able to grant me access to unadvertised, very targeted opportunities and be able to have relevant leads for opportunities within weeks of the beginning of the cooperation. No Value for Money...
Though they are good at selling themselves, they are not as good as selling you. They use a standard approach to executive search using their extensive network of recruiters and executive search professionals. It may be good for those not well organised or who may not have time. But if you have ever done your own search, it is truly best to utilise your own network of contacts and players in your sector. The fees are exceedingly high for what service one gets which could easily be automated by any programme or AI. They claim that they can help create opportunities, but unfortunately I have not seen this proactive approach. Thus, I feel it definely was NOT VALUE FOR MONEY!!!

Also rather than signing the engagement agreement in the name of InterExec, they utilised another one of their many affiliated companies (in my case it was City Career Management Limited, Company No: 03973288, which later went into Voluntary Liquidation). Be careful!!!

This review outlines my experience with City Career Management Ltd (CCM), trading as INTEREXEC, and INTEREXEC International Ltd (IIL), both of which engaged in deceptive practices that took advantage of my status as a foreign national. In July 2020, I entered into a contract with INTEREXEC, paying £18,000 upfront for executive search services. Despite continuous communication with key “Directors”, no meaningful opportunities were presented, and I was unaware that CCM had gone into liquidation in September 2021. It wasn’t until September 2024 that I discovered I had been dealing with IIL instead, operating under the same INTEREXEC brand and @interexec.net domain, with no disclosure of the change in the legal entity.

Executive Summary:

In July 2020, I signed a contract with CCM, trading as INTEREXEC, for services that promised access to unadvertised executive vacancies. Over the next two years, I communicated extensively with the “Directors”, but received no relevant job offers or satisfactory responses. Throughout, the correspondence used the INTEREXEC brand and @interexec.net email addresses, concealing the fact that CCM had gone into liquidation in 2021.
It wasn’t until September 2024, that I learned CCM had been liquidated in September 2021. Until then, INTEREXEC International Ltd (IIL) had been operating under the same brand without informing me of the change. This deliberate lack of transparency was clearly designed to avoid responsibility and obligations, a practice known as "Phoenixing."

Chronology/Facts:

• July 2020: I signed a contract with CCM for executive search services, paying £18,000 upfront. Communication was primarily with Ben Thomas, and all correspondence used the @interexec.net email domain.
• September 2020 – February 2021: Despite reassurances, no meaningful job opportunities were presented. The few interviews were unrelated to the promised unadvertised executive roles.
• August 15, 2022: I had a conference call with the “Directors”, where they continued to offer reassurances without disclosing CCM’s liquidation.
• September 2024: I discovered that CCM had been liquidated in September 2021 and that I had been unknowingly dealing with IIL under the same brand.

Analysis:

The actions of the “Directors”, particularly the failure to disclose CCM’s liquidation and the transition to IIL, raise serious legal concerns under UK law:

• Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008: The directors misled me into believing I was dealing with a continuous entity, violating Regulation 5 by failing to disclose the liquidation.
• Companies Act 2006 – Section 172: The directors breached their fiduciary duties by concealing CCM’s liquidation and the restructuring under IIL.
• Consumer Rights Act 2015: INTEREXEC failed to deliver services with reasonable care and skill, violating Section 49 of the Act.
• Misrepresentation Act 1967: The directors misled me into believing I was contracting with CCM when I was, in fact, dealing with IIL.

Conclusion:
The directors of INTEREXEC, through CCM and IIL, misled me about the true nature of their business operations, resulting in significant financial loss and a breach of my consumer rights. I have collected extensive evidence to support my claims, which is available in full upon request.

I’ve used Interexec several times over the last 25 years when looking to make a career move. I’ve certainly received offers through connections I wouldn’t have received should I not have been introduced via the Interexec process. It’s important to understand their service before agreeing to work with them. They are not magicians. If the market is tough, or your situation compromised they cannot magic up a role, but they will put you in the best postion possible to be included on a headhunters long list. The fact that I’ve returned to use their services decades apart is testament to the value I believe I have received.

Biggest mistake out of my 15+ year career, do not make the same one. No secret sauce, no ancillary services that make you stand out, no expertise relevant for a C-suite search, just a lot of marketing brouhaha. Came out of it empty handed, unlike IE.
Observation: very recent 4/5 star ratings with generic marketing description to underpin “candidates’ ratings”. Hope this isn’t an effort by insiders to boost their dismal average

Excellent consultation and connections. Interexec professionally worked out key points, presented them well and made contacts to recruiters structured, smooth and easy.

I’ve used Interexec’s services over the last 18 years when I wanted to proactively move into larger roles not available at companies I was working at that moment. The service and support are very professional and well structured. The preparation phase helps defining the desired role and the strengths to build on. The interview techniques taught are priceless. The networking and targeted contacts with the proper executive search firms and agents that Interexec provides are of the highest quality and have provided me with the right next opportunity within a year´s time frame. Good value for money.

The preparation part of the process, before they launch your profile is invaluable. After the launch, they are very diligent and proactive and available for any advice where necessary. They have regular scheduled check ins but informal ones are also available. I've been in a lot of processes through Interexec that I would not have come across in my normal network. For me it's been worth the expense. In a tough market their added value has been clear to me.
