This internship was such a great opportunity to immerse myself in the local culture and work on my language skills. Living with a host family was so nice to have a small support system and get to try lots of tasty food! The internship work was very reasonable and also left lots of time for adventuring and exploring during time off! Overall a great experience and such a beautiful country :))

My internship experience was great because it’s flexible and laid back. I like the positive atmosphere this internship brings.

Through this experience, I discovered the value of adaptability and openness in building connections. By me stepping out of my comfort zone and actively participating in discussions, I was able to foster an inclusive environment. I stayed a total of 3 weeks in Valencia, Spain for the physiotherapy internship and I must say Intern Abroad HQ made by experience memorable. Everything was always so organized in a way that facilitated the entire process. I had a great homestay experience and was able to meet amazing people through the program. I also learned a lot from the internship in which I gained lots of hands-on experience. I would recommend staying 4-5 weeks if you wish to gain more experience as I only really got to practice some of the skills I learned near the end of my stay. The partner organization that organized optional activities for us were amazing, however I found their activities to be quite costly on top of the internship fee. If you wish to participate in any cultural activities or do some travelling, I recommend going through another agency or finding a group of friends to go with instead.

What made my experience so great was my easy adjustment, all thanks to my local team and program coordinators. It can be incredibly difficult adjusting to a new environment, especially when you have a decently long stay and need to quickly adjust in order to establish a routine. Thankfully, my local team was more than helpful, and treated me like family, allowing me to feel like I was home and quickly feel like I was where I belonged.

My experience with Intern Abroad HQ has been great, I had the opportunity to explore how healthcare system works in other countries (Morocco) compared to NHS in England. I had the opportunity to work with different healthcare professionals from different background, culture and ethnicity. I have enjoyed every moment including site seeing the rest of Morocco, meeting amazing and friendly people.

Intern Abroad HQ connected me with a wonderful local team in India of dedicated professionals in psychology. The coordinator and supervisor were both sweet and they check in with you regularly. They are a great, supportive team. Through this experience, I learned various new skills in my desired field, and I'm grateful for Intern Abroad HQ's great programs. Recommended for students looking for an enriching internship experience!

I felt well prepared for my trip, which reduced the anxiety I had heading into it. I loved the easiness of signing up but receiving so much support after. Once I arrived to Valencia I still had a great support system and was able to get into the groove fairly quickly!

During my placement in Morocco, I was welcomed to the hospitality at the Riyad. I was told where I will be placed and how to remain safe during my stay. The staff at the accommodation were very forthcoming and was willing to provide support at my point of need.
The placement allows you to explore your career in great depth and can be pivotal in helping you make a decision regarding your career.

the people in the homestay were amazing. the other interns and my housemates were incredible. everyone in the dive shop were great. and the people in quespos were very friendly.

the support is there. and fast. the experience is excellent. but it would help if you did your research to avoid needless costs regarding visits, insurance, and what not.

My experience was good thanks to the people I met however, staff was a bit disorganised as I requested many times to be transferred to another hospital that can give me more explanation about radiology. My request was ignored and other new interns that came after me got to do more advanced observation in other hospital and also got to see radiology departments.

I improved my organization skills, team orientation, and communication skills by dividing my time between work and pleasure. They also gained experience working with new people and building rapport with people from different industries. The language barrier was the biggest challenge, but the desire to learn and assimilate helped me overcome it. The local internship team provided support, and I used tools like Google Translate to support conversations, showcasing versatility and enthusiasm in facing challenges.

What made my experience great was the supportive environment I found myself, I was not expecting to blend or get adapted to such setting as it was a company located in a non-English speaking country. My Local team created a friendly and encouraging atmosphere that made it simple to fit in and work together right away. Colleagues' readiness to impart information and offer help when required really improved my educational experience.
What made the company different even as a start-up was their ability to improve and accept some Ideas that I brought to the table, which some organisations would not because I am an Intern and that made me felt very productive. Additionally, Having firsthand experience with data collection, analysis, and sensor data integration into the mobile app was priceless. I was able to apply my academic knowledge to real-world circumstances and this practical experience has really improved my comprehension and abilities.
