It’s very useful and informative to know about what’s happening in my area. And very helpful if you need advice or someone to do something. Love Hannah’s monthly missive, always well written and in parts hilarious

I look to IYA for deaths in the town, sorry bit morbid and local community news for the Dalbeattie area.. However it's a nuisance having to keep signing in all the time and getting an access number. I dont bother most of the time which will affect your stats. You need to find a different way to access IYA from an email newsletter. Have you thought IYA is like an icon for Hiya to access In Your Area ? Copyright to me plase :-)

99% of the time a good read.
On occasions I may come across something that annoys Me a bit but all it take is another scroll of the mouse and the good read continues. The Nicknames article was a hoot.

Its a great insight to an amusing older localised world that is getting buried by a less than wholesome 'anything goes' present and a God knows what future.

I loved this witty tale of nicknames and the punchline was brilliant. Thanks for making me smile in these times of doom and gloom.

Fantastic. I have always given people nicknames, some know, some don't!
My neighbours one side we call "The Potatoes" because they are round, dull and look like spuds in coats.
The other side we call "The Benidorms"....think what you will! Our plasterer call Pete managed to drill through a pipe and became Pete the Leak
Lots more, I have to remember.
Thank you so much
