IObit8s reseller Issues

IObit markets through a reseller called Paddle. When I received a cancellation notice and wanted to understand why, I was unable to reach iObit except through Paddle. This reseller hides behind a poorly designed chatbot that took fifteen minutes answering questions it choose to ask while ignoring mine. When the issue finally arrived at iObit, they responded swiftly and effectively.

Very Disappointed as a Paid PRO…

Very Disappointed as a Paid PRO Subscriber — Far Too Many Ads, Unwanted Installs, and No Respect for Users

Review:
I’m writing this as a paid PRO subscriber of several IObit products, and unfortunately my experience has been extremely disappointing. I expected professional, reliable software — instead I’ve dealt with constant interruptions and behavior that feels intrusive and disrespectful to the user.

Across multiple laptops and desktops, IObit programs repeatedly acted autonomously in ways I never requested. Pop-ups appear at random, ads continue even though I’m a paying customer, and the software is constantly pushing “suggestions” that feel more like aggressive marketing than useful features.

What bothered me most is that the software repeatedly tried to install additional IObit/iTop tools that I never asked for — such as iTop VPN, Software Updater, and iTop Easy Desktop. These installs felt pushy, unexpected, and went far beyond what I would consider normal behavior for premium utilities. As a user, I want control over what runs on my system, and this experience made me feel like the software was making decisions for me.

Instead of improving my system, the constant advertising, pop-ups, and forced recommendations made my devices feel more cluttered and disruptive. It’s frustrating, especially considering I’m paying for the “PRO” versions.

This review reflects my personal experience as a long-time customer, but based on what I’ve seen, I cannot recommend IObit or iTop software to anyone who values transparency, user control, and a clean, reliable system. I strongly suggest exploring alternative tools.

Avoid IObit software at any price, intrusive behaviour, UI hijacking, and questionable billing practices.

I recommend avoiding IObit products entirely. One of their programs showed a close to full-screen Black Friday pop-up that could not be closed, ignored Alt+F4 and Task Manager, and stayed locked on top of everything. It effectively took control of my PC. The only way to get rid of the pop-up was to click on the "casino" wheel. This is just not acceptable.

After uninstalling, I found background tasks still running, which is not acceptable for a system utility. I have reported this behaviour to Microsoft Security Intelligence as a Potentially Unwanted Application.

I have also received renewal reminders even though my current licenses still have several months left

Bottom line: this experience was bad enough that I would advise others to stay away. I have uninstalled all Iobit products.

The absolute worst and among the most…

The absolute worst and among the most degenerate software companies out there, with nothing but ill intent, their software serves no beneficial purpose to users or pc's whatsoever, its amazes me they even have customers when what they offer is the absolute lowest quality, just pure dogs*it, either collecting unimaginable amounts of data, telemetry, logs and heavy background tasks constantly running, which most likely includes a backdoor, as it acts beyond intrusive, it might as well be called a subscription based spyware.

Despite the really annoying pop ups and the autorenewal on anything you buy (that you can turn off), I do find Advanced System Care a good product and have been using it for a few years

I have been charged a license renewal…

I have been charged a license renewal for a product that I no longer use. I have had extreme difficulty processing my request for refund.

I was able to have my refund processed in a timely basis.

IOBit - Not a company that I will buy from again.

A company that cannot help but to bundle software into their apps. A simple case of once bitten twice shy! It wouldnt be so bad if all the bundled software was CLEARLY identified so you could refuse it but its not. To me a company who trades in this fashion is not worth buying from.

Ordered an IObit Pro Bundle via 2Checkout

Ordered an IObit Pro Bundle via 2Checkout. Once installed, each of the 4 products in the bundle told me to upgrade to Pro at an additional cost, even though I had ordered the Pro version, 2Checkout immediately said they were just the reseller and I should contact IObit directly. Despite sending two tickets, there is absolutely no response - no receipt confirmation, never mind a response to my query. Absolute waste of money - looks like a scam.

Embedded spam

The program works but is spoiled by pop up ads whenever you press a link, for more of their products. So bad that after only a day I uninstalled it, despite being in touch with their support. No problem getting in touch with them but it seems nothing will change despite their promises to improve, suggesting they know full well what the problem is, the extra business from all the spam must outweigh the need to fix things - a cynical response that has cost them my account. I would not recommend this outfit.

Finally customer service with understanding of stressed out people

Oct 20/25 I was having trouble with my computer. I purchased Advanced Care System but I was unable to receive the installation code. I sent a text to the customer support and October 21 I received the code with easy to follow instructions for installation. Customer service is extremely high for this company. They are very fast,curtious, and knowledgeable in dealing humainly with people who are under stress but happy to be finally given fair, understanding treatment. Thank you

I purchased the IObit Super Pack

I purchased the IObit Super Pack. I have used IObit for a number of years and never had any problems and been very satisfied. This time I did not received activating code. Can't log into my account, the link is not working. Contact them with a number of emails, no luck. They asked me to contact the manufacturer. The email was undelivered. The only option I have to go through Paypal to get my money back.

Fake Scans, Bad Driver Updater, Constantly running in Background

It literraly finds tens of thousands of errors, even when run back to back to back. Every time it finds registry problems or malicious files, even though I just scanned the system and fixed all problems.
They also run services in the background you have to really dig to stop. It's not enough to stop the program from starting with windows, you have to dig trough all your services and find the related ones.
Also, they keep trying to shove down your throat all their other products.
If people check the reviews they will realise that most of the 5 star reviews are fake. People can not be so divided between 1 star and 5 stars.

IObit has no customer account system

IObit has no customer account system. Your purchases are blindly handled via Paddle, with no user control whatsoever.

The so-called “-80% discounts” are just inflated prices in disguise. When it’s time to renew, you're charged the full amount, with no easy way to opt out.

I even ended up with two active overlapping subscriptions, without any alert or validation.

No transparency. No logic.

Avoid this company if you care about knowing what you’re buying — and what it actually costs.

For now

For now, I will rate the AdvancedSystemCare from Iobit at 4 stars.
Only 4 stars because Iobit likes to add other apps to the initial download, and if you're not paying attention, you won't realize what you're clicking "yes" to.
That said, my laptop was experiencing random mouse movements and windows opening and closing at will.
I downloaded Iobit AdvancedSystemCare. Ran multiple scans. Did the "fix" required, and my laptop's performance and speed has increased quite a bit. I have not experienced the random mouse or windows issue since.
So, for now...I believe Iobit did a good job.

important products very fine, but too many offers bundle

I asked for a refund because they invited me to complete an order the previous evening, and they refunded me within a few days, even though I received about €2 less than I had spent.
