Dishonest promotion & threat of debt collectors
A threat of debt collection for interest in positive health but no actual service, this is how we make a better world, and increase mental health. (Note the sarcasm).
This company promotes itself as the Institute for Positive Health, under Machteld Huber. With powerful marketing aimed at health professionals to sell their trainings.
The aim to enrich the company by reaping rewards under the name of Positive Health Institute without delivering any service, is called a scheme.
Conveniently the Institute for Positive Health has no physical address, only a postal address. Nor is their name in any accounts with reviews on Google or Trustpilot, so I've opened it up here.
Through their newsletter promoting a workshop I was invited to a day workshop for 269,00€, in 3 months time. I showed interest by filling a form for which workshops interested me, but no communicated commitment other than stating interest through form. No signature. No further correspondence.
Every few weeks I received more emails but I no longer corresponded nor toned interest or agreed to any terms.
After the workshop day passed I received the invoice for full price. I wrote back cordially explaining I was not part of the event nor had I signed any form.
Since two weeks I receive daily emails with reminders to pay for a service I did not receive.
Today, I received a threat of debt collectors to be sent if I don't pay within 5 days!! This is really going over the top with arrogance and complete disrespect.
I personally offer workshops and invite people in my network. Sometimes people show interest but don't turn up. I would not in a million years be so vile and corrupt to try and charge them money for something they obviously did not want to be part of.
Please rename it the Institute for Positively Selling instead. Much more appropriate.
