Very bad communication when it came to deadlines. Made up dates as they went along, completely over charge students. Let people pay the extra €200 for the job hub even though they know there were no jobs left. Scam.

I had a deeply disappointing experience with USIT. My boyfriend and I interviewed together for Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club and were assured our CVs would be kept together (either both hired or neither). However, I received a job offer weeks later, and he did not. This was after being promised offers would be made on the spot at the interview and that we’d hear back by February 14th or 17th. We didn’t get any communication until February 28th.

Throughout the process, USIT was extremely difficult to contact, and suitable job options were scarce. Some roles were in unrealistic locations like Ohio and Alaska. We applied for over 10 jobs between us and were repeatedly rejected. The advertisement from Ocean Edge stated accommodation would be provided, yet the offer revealed no housing availability, despite a severe shortage in Cape Cod.

The whole experience felt disorganized and misleading. I’ve formally requested a refund, but I wouldn’t recommend USIT to anyone considering a J1. It’s simply not worth the stress and uncertainty.

Great at the beginning, but communication drops off when you get close to actually leaving. I found calling during this time, was nearly an inconvenience to them even though it is within their job description.

Don't let you work multiple types of contracts. Many small terms and conditions not mentioned. CIEE also very unhelpful

My experience with USIT has been amazing, and this is all thanks to Roisin. she was beyond helpful and kind during such a stressful and confusing time. Could not recommend USIT (and Roisin!) enough.

Lyndsey was kind to organise a one-to-one call with me, and it was very quick and informative. She answered all of my questions in great detail, and emailed me supplementary info on finding accommodation in the US. I now feel more confident about doing an internship via USIT.

Lyndsey was quick to organise a call with me and offered very helpful tips and with regards to approaching Employers for a Trainee visa. She had clear and honest answers to all my questions and was very reassuring!

Quick and efficient solution

I found my whole experience so far with USIT so helpful! Especially with Adel, she answered all my questions, reassured me completely and it helped me so much! She replied so quickly as well to my concerns. I really appreciated it and I 100% will recommend to others to go with USIT after the experience I had with Adel.

I really recommend Adel who is part of the USIT team she helped me out with any questions I had regarding the J1 and cleared up any difficulties I had with the application process.

I really recommend going with USIT if your of going on a J1. Process is very smooth. Adel was really helpful and has been very good to deal with the past few weeks.
