It was the first and the last purchase…

It was the first and the last purchase from this shop. As all the other customers, I believed I would get my goods in about 2 weeks (not the end of the world). However they have only been despatched 2.5 weeks later (placed order 17.01.2022, despatched 3.02.2022) and who knows how long it will take to get them. The most important item, which was supposed to be my son's Birthday gift, wasn't available. If only I read reviews before buying!!!

Avoid! Appalling company.

I ordered and paid for a pair of boots on 4th January and was told that due to Brexit, delivery could take up to two weeks. I have not received the boots now over 3 weeks later. I have contacted customer services on several occasions who cannot tell me when I might receive the boots and also refuse to give me a refund. Totally unacceptable. My credit card company are now going after them for me. Don’t waste your money - I can only assume they’re about to go bust.

Don't even think !

I spent 200 euro on jacket, mittens and a hat .Ordered it on 3d of January 2022. They still didn't send it to me. I tried contacting their customer service, usually they don't reply. Once I reached them I asked for the refund and they said they can't do it. They said they will be able to do a refund once I send goods back. Customer support told me they don't know when they will send me goods. So basically they scammed me. Who would expect it can happen from this company.

Very poor service from JWS all round

Have ordered from JWS numerous times and had seen the note on the website around Brexit and how it can take 2 weeks to get your order delivered. I ordered 2 items coming up 2 weeks ago which I thought give plenty of time for them to be delivered and have been tracking the status of the order regularly. Its been "In process" since I ordered it. Chased it up yesterday and like a lot reviewers on here found the customer service less than useless. They advised my order had actually been processed but there was a delay in dispatching. When I asked if they could chase it up to find out why, I was told that was not possible to do but they failed to say why exactly. Only said I would get an email when it had been dispatched (which I know already). The items were bought for a holiday we're going on in 2 weeks time. I don't really want to be going out next weekend to purchase the same or similar items if these don't arrive. Surely with the amount of disgruntled customers you'd think they'd do something to address this. Not sure if it's worth a formal complaint seeing as they've had my money all this time yet despite "processing" there's no sign of delivery!

Absolutely worthless delivery and client service

Bought some items on sale for a holiday to Iceland. Claimed delivery of 7-9 days. Only after 10 days does it get handed to DHL. Now another 4 days have passed and the package is still chilling in some DHL parcel center in DE without any outlook on a delivery date to NL.
Given these delays I wanted to cancel a second order I had placed which hadn't been processed as it will for sure arrive when we're already on holiday. Not possible. I explain DHL delivery is worthless and they always leave the package at the door even if I'm not home so will definitely be stolen. Changing address or choosing a DHL pickup point also not possible. I have to wait and see what happens. Absolutely mind-boggling how unapologetic the customer service is. They simply don't give a F*. No solution, no 'sorry', no 'how inconvenient', nothing was offered.
After reading the reviews here I have no idea what the return process will be and when I'm going to get my money back.
Wish I had read the reviews sooner. I thought a well established brand like this would care more about it's customers. I'm never shopping here again.

What a terrible experience

What a terrible experience. I ordered some boots 4 days ago but still there is no process of my order.
I exchanged emails with their customer service but they don't even care to check what there is a delay. Their warehouse is in Hamburg, Germany as they told me.
I asked for cancellation since there is no process yet and they said they cannot do it and I can deny the product whenever it comes or return it myself!
I just see the previous review and indeed first time I see such incompetence from a "big" company.
Just for the record, the representatives that I talked with are Tabea Muller and Heike Henkel. It's a pity they prefer to take the blame than escalate it to their manager.
I will dispute the charge with my bank and never again even try their products.

Just a dreadful company

Just a dreadful company. I have been waiting for a refund for over 2 months from a cap return I sent. They acknowledged that it was received and when I queried on their customer service department after 4 weeks of waiting I was told "Covid" not even, what was my order number. I actually like the coat I kept, but will now go elsewhere to purchase for family despite only being due a £12 refund due to inability to refund a return. Its principle above anything. Very poor

No problems on delivery - It’s poor quality manufacturing

No problems on delivery, the issue is with the coat. Bought online coat on 2 separate occasions.

1st within one month, noticed threads fraying at zip seam. Then not long after noticed feathers seeping through outer fabric. Returned coat to Blacks & requested refund.

2nd recently purchased another Jack Wolfskin coat from different retailer, on receipt inspect coat with mobile light, again found threads fraying at coat seams. Contacted retailer and informed of issue. I now have to return & request refund.

Buying online item should not be a lottery on purchasing good quality clothing. The manufacturer needs to held accountable.

Delivered 11 days after ordering

Ordered "clearance" waterproof jacket on 4th October. Informed item dispatched on 6th October and I received item on 15th October. Happy with service and decided to write this review as all the "bad" reviews nearly persuaded me not to buy the item I wanted.

Things have not improved

Things have not improved. Told jacket will be 2 to 3 weeks because of Brexit! All other companies manage. Same jacket from Amazon 2 days. I do feel sorry for customer service staff who have to defend poor management.

An absolutely poor excuse for a company. There are so many hard working smaller, independent companies out there, should they behave like Jack Wolfskin, they would be out of business. JW are working off their name alone.
Absolutely shocking service. Their customer service are so incredibly rude it is unbelievable. They even have the nerve to tell you that you are rude and lying, when it is them who are rude and lying. The so called system update is a poor excuse. So is Brexit. I work in tech and also for a company that ships worldwide so their excuses are incredibly inaccurate, yet they have the nerve to keep stating it. It is also quite evident from here the poor service has been going on for over a year, well before Brexit and so called system update.
Item was eventually received and was sent back straight away. Even the return process is painful, no return label and links to obtain a label don't work. You could phone and speak to a rude service agent but who wants to do that. Item returned through post office, same day at my expense just to get rid of it. Who knows when I'll receive my refund but I will refer it to my bank to investigate if not refunded within the week.
Can safely say will never ever buy anything from JW again, whether online or from a shop and neither will my family or friends now.
A very painful lesson learnt and have taken my business else where.

Sadly I fell for it too! Paid £54 for a jack wolfskin jacket with £10 flat rate shipping. Some additional charges for exchange rate.. after ordering I looked up on trustpilot for reviews... then proceeded to call the bank to cancel the transaction but had to wait 15 days to do so. Luckily Lloyds gave a full refund and low and behold 3 days later a thin grey Dior scarf arrived! PLEASE DONT BUY FROM THIS SITE !!

A company in financial difficulties

As many other people I was caught out by this company's policy of accepting orders they could not fulfil.
Despite refusing the delivery at their insistence no refund has been made weeks later. Their promise to refund on refusal is clearly another stalling tactic. The answer from customer services on contacting their CEO is that he does not need to know what is going on. A company showing clear signs of being in severe financial difficulties I'm afraid using customer payments to support cash flow.
Until you can visit a shop, best avoided

Be patient - Delays are not their fault

I bought a 3 in 1 jacket in the sale, not realising that orders ship from Germany to the UK via container before being posted out.

After nearly a month of hold-ups in shipping and customs, my order has finally arrived - yes it was stressful as I hadn't realised goods didn't ship straight from the UK, but the delays genuinely aren't the company's fault - the UK voted for Brexit, the final deal was very short notice and companies had very little time to adapt. At least their method of only shipping out from the UK once goods arrive here means no customs charges for the end user.

The jacket itself is lovely and has arrived just in time for the next "Beast from the East"

I had the same experience as other…

I had the same experience as other recent customers. I ordered 5 Jan (at that time there was nothing on the website to indicate goods were dispatched from outside the UK) and on 11 Jan I received a ParcelForce tracking number which didn't become active on the Parcelforce website. On 15 Jan they sent an email explaining the problems & then another one 2 Feb.

I am pleased to report that my jacket was finally delivered this morning (5 Feb, exactly a month after I placed the order) and I'm very happy with it & will not be sending it back (hence the 2* review rather than 1*).

However, they could have handled this whole situation better - they're a big company, when they knew the extent of the problem they should have offered and given refunds regardless of outcome.

The same as many others i'm afraid!!

The same as many others i'm afraid. Ordered a pair of Boots on the 4th Jan, nothing to suggest delayed delivery or the item was coming from Germany. Then told on the 14th it had left Germany and would be with me in 3 days to the most recent email full of suggestions that delivery will be soon but obviously cannot guarantee anything. Today i had a live chat with someone who now tells me they have changed shipping companies!! Raising chargeback with bank
